The wiring harness may look like a head scratching stressful mess but don't worry, its easier than it looks. Anyone can set up this radio. The directions that it came with a whole lot easier. The product was very good in quality.

Not all functions work on Passat Wagon B6

If you are using this adapter in a 2006 to 2010 Passat Wagon the RAP does not work. I spoke to the Axxess rep and he said that there is a software glitch between the adapter and the Passat. Axxess will have to release a new model to fix this issue. Also, for the Pioneer DVD head units that need the parking break on/off/on signal, the adapter will randomly work.

Exactly what I needed

Great sound and all the features I need for my convertible. Can not beat thy he value, usb,3.5mm input jack, CD player am/FM and JVC quality to boot.

I'm pleased enough with it. The instructions were a little lacking, but what became apparent after looking at it for a bit was there are 2 harnesses which can plug into the box, and to me I used the one that was wired to the stereo's power wires and it worked. Also it needs to be programmed to the car by turning the key on for 30 secs to a minute with all doors closed.

The retained power feature did not work in my 2006 Jetta. It is supposed to leave the radio on after you remove key until the door is opened, but mine just turns off with the key. Not a big deal really, it'd be nice if it worked though.

Great nav system. Will not fail on you. It is upgradeable. Easy to use. The cons: Hard to input addresses and them trouble locating them. But overall great product. Looks great in my car like factory installed.

Monsoon compatible

Was confused on all the different harness adapters out there. This one even says non amplified, but it is THE one to use if you have a Mk4 jetta/golf (bora) with amplified monsoon system.

Instructions that are included could be a little confusing to someone who has never installed a stereo and not a lot of markings on on the harness to figure out what wires are for what

worked perfect

Used for 2009 vw jets aftermarket radio. I heard a lot of people who bought a regular harness had trouble with power issues. So I decided to buy this 1 and had no issues other than wiring. It took me a while to figure it out.

2002 jetta single din radio instal

At first it worked as advertised although after a few day the product was intermittent on working... I would turn the car off and the radio would remain on not sure if I bout the wrong unit.. I know the wiring is hooked up correctly it's color coded..... but it sometimes works and then all of a sudden quits working so I will be emailing the them for a solution

Priced right

This is must when putting an aftermarket headunit in a VW; I know someone that went to an audio shop and they didn't use one of these; they just cut into the wires so now his car shuts off or the lights go out at night. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine.

Great but missing a bit

I would really like this model to have the ability to cut off low frequency sounds to the main speakers like some other JVC's. Pretty good but unless you're using an amp it's limiting and even then only two amp pre-outs.
