Perfect for those who lack space and need some little boost of bass

bought this half a year ago from SonicElectronix. the price was absolutely fair, $99.00. i drive a tiny convertible and really needed some bass. i must say i didnt think 6 inches will do the job, but surprisingly i got exactly what i needed, i even set the bass volume to 50%.

what made me buy it is the design and JVC, which i really like as a brand. it's also, i think, the slimmest bass there is. it fits underneath the seat like magic.

very easy to use, very easy to install. bottoms up!

JVC CS-BB2-RB

It is very small and compact. Not the best bass sound but sounds decent for in lower volume to mid volume not for loud volume as then it really goes down hill from there. Bottom line good product but don't have high hopes of heavy or good bass sound as this subwoofer is only 6.5"! and was only meant to fill in the missing bass for a oem system but if you have a 2 seater car it great for under the seat to get a little thump! For the price i would pay a little bit more for an 8" subwoofer as i have now if you want a higher volume capability and a better bass sound.

Great sound for the price!

I recommend this Product to anybody that wants to add a little responsive sound to a vehicle that does not have enough space. I bought this JVC CS-BB2 for a 1995 f-150 placed it under the front seat. It added the bass i was looking for without digging into my wallet.

Just The Extra Bottom I Needed For My 96 Astro Van!

Was looking for some extra bass for my "Dallas Cowboy" colored van. The JVC CS-BB2 is just what I needed. I mounted it under my back seat. Its completely hidden, and the sound is great! Thank you for a great product!

what I expected

The company is great the product not enough for me. The sub does fill in the needed sound but I wanted more bass I ended up selling it. Do not expect a lot of bass or you will be disappointed

I'm happy with it

I put the cs-bb2 in my Pontiac Solstice. I just needed a little bass added to the sound and the only place to mount was behind the seat so it had to be very thin. This model is perfect for that. It's not going to give you window rattling bass or "thumping" lows but if you need a little more bass and have a small place to mount...this is perfect.

Very good value

I installed this in my parent's sedan and it gives a lot of kick for the size. It's fairly compact, but if your car can fit it, I would suggest the Infiniti Baselink. I decided to take the plunge and replace this unit with one and undeniably the bass is deeper. At over twice the price, it may break the bank, and this JVC unit deserves a 10 for value. Overall, if you have a sports car and are frugal on space, go for this unit.

Bass in a small place.

Have a small car that needed some help with the bass. This unit fit the bill. It's not move the windows bass, but it does a nice job of filling in what is needed to allow for full sound enjoyment. Plus you can control the off-on and separate volume of the unit. I would buy it again and from this seller.

Great Value!!

I purchased this product 6 mos. ago and am very pleased with it. I was looking for a powered sub for my Toyota Tundra pickup and just wanted a modest boost in bass to balance the sound as bass was barely audible with previous setup. The JVC unit definitely fit the bill and made the bass needed to make the songs sound the way they were meant to and not "treble heavy" as before. My wife even asked what I did and thought I spent much more money to make such a huge difference in stereo sound. To say she is no audiophile is an understatement and the fact she was impressed is a real compliment. I really believe she uses the vehicle more frequently as a result. Installation was very straight forward and took less than two hours. If someone is looking for solid bass and doesn't have a lot of room/money for a more elaborate setup, this a definitely a great option. No problems at all to date.

Great compact unit

This is a great unit. Very compact, fits under or behind any seat. I installed it on my Discovery LR3 to supplement the existing audio and it sounds awesome. Great audio quality and it's a install and forget type of unit. I simply hooked it up, without using the remote and forgot about it.
The unit comes with all cables and very good instructions on how to hook it up to the car electrical and audio system. Recommended.

Mighty Mouse

I was considering a Bass Cannon when I stumbled on this. I put it in my '74 Super Beetle and I'm amazed at the big sound I get and it takes up so little space. I like it so much I got a second one for my daily driver, an '06 Mazda MX5. It should be small enough to fit under or behind a seat but I haven't got around to installing that one yet. I guess I'd better get at it soon.

For what it is, it's OK

I installed this in a friend's Jeep Wrangler, where it was the only sub I could find that would fit between the dash console and the shifter. It's not loud, it doesn't 'thump', it's not very musical...but, for what it is intended to do, it does OK. Wouldn't put it in my own vehicle, but it does what he wanted, which was to add some bass to his 4X6 Polks in the dash

Excellent addition for adding the lows back into a convertible

I will start out stating that I was not looking for "bump", but rather to restore the lows that road noise would drown out while driving my LeBaron convertible. This powered, low profile sub does that perfectly. The lows are back, and fill in the music beautifully. The low profile aspect of the sub allows for some very creative placement as well. Although it is designed to be placed under a front seat, the space under my driver's seat is blocked with power adjustment gear, and the passenger is where my external HD & AC converter stays (head unit accepts a USB drive, so the combo above means 300 GB of continuous music). This meant that I needed to find another place for it. The small size allowed me to place it on the center hump, UNDER the dash. This lets it fire vertically and bounce the base off the windshield to the listeners. Makes for an amazing sound, and uses otherwise unused space. Highly recommended! It's a shame JVC stopped production of this.

Works as advertised

I installed the CS-BB2 under the driver's seat in my subaru legacy GT. A great addition to my Pioneer aftermarket sound system for yesterday and today's rock sounds. I do not recommend this unit if you want to shatter windows. :) Since installing, I can now limit lows

Great Fit

Purchased this unit for my 1983 Alfa Romeo Spider to place behind the seats under the shelf - excellent fit and enhances my JVC HD receiver and eclipse speakers very well giving me just enough bass to complement my system. The wired remote allows me to adjust the bass for the type of music - I mostly listen to jazz and mix/alternative so it provides the right amount of depth. The compact size allowed it to be hidden from view and not take up valuable trunk space.

If you need the thumping hip hop kinda bass then get the Infinity Basslink instead and mount it in the trunk - my son did that in his '86 Spider and it is quite impressive....

Great under the seats!

Bought one and put it under the passenger seat of my 07 Forester. Liked it so much that I had to get another one for the driver's side. It's compact and hides really well under the seats, yet still manages to produce a nice bass that you can feel. Nothing car rattling, but that's not what I'm looking for. I bought the refurbished one and so far so good.
