Overall For The Price You Can't Go Wrong (Part 2)

If you read my other review on the JVC CS-V6937 you should have a good Idea in what im going to say about these. With the back 6X9's, these bad boys in the front and having all this powered by my JVC Arsenal KD-A815 deck considered I got my deck at the local pawn shop and these two speakers (the 4 1/2 and 6X9's) for a total of 69.00 with free shipping. I couldn't be any happier with the system I have now in my car. Overall the sound quality with having stock tweeters already in my car on the dash and having the 2 way and 3 way speaker around the rest of the car really delivers (all Hz frequencies) of sound all the way around the cabin of the car. All of my guy friends (and lady friends) ;) think i own a multiple hundred dollar system and when the chance comes if they option to ride in mine or some else's ride rises, most of the time they come with me. The set up I have I would recommend to any one that's either tight on cash or simply wants to just upgrade the sound quality greatly and not put a huge dent in their wallet in doing so. These speakers rock and for the price you can't go wrong at all.

Great price

The shipping was very fast the price was excellent. These are good speakers for the price. I am running them off of a JVC deck and the sound is decent.

Great speakers for the price!

The following review is for CS-V528, which is a part of the bundle you are viewing.

I had a blown speaker in my 2003 Accord. These sound great! What a difference. Great value and fast service.

OK for the price

First off, keep in mind that these are some very inexpensive speakers, so I guess you can't expect a whole lot. I ordered these mostly because at the time I had a JVC head unit and a set of JVC DRVN CS-G1200 subs and these matched perfectly and look really sweet (especially with the grills on. I didn't use my stock grills with these, I used the JVC grills). After I got them in, I was a little impressed actually, these will handle a decent amount of power and put out acceptable volume. They sound very clear, definitely better than the stock speakers of my 98 Jeep Cherokee Sport. The only thing I don't like is they can't handle bass. But hey the cones are like 5 inches in diameter and they don't have much xmax so what can you expect. In my case I don't care that they can't handle bass cause I got my front speakers and a set of subs. What I ended up doing was putting in a set of bass blockers I got for like 6 bucks new. I really recommend planning on doing that, cause now they have great clarity yet I can crank the volume AND I'm free to turn up the bass on my EQ to let my front speakers and subs crank out the bass. Even if you don't have subs though, these are still great speakers for your car.

I would buy these again because they look sweet, match any color scheme, have great clarity and decent volume. I would of course recommend them to my friends as well. Just remember to spend the extra 6 bucks on bass blockers (if you can install speakers then you can install bass blockers as long as you have basic soldering skills). I don't think any other speakers brand new in this price range will sound any better, so I would not shy away from these.

I no longer have the JVC subs, I wanted to see what other brands sounded like, but I will be keeping these speakers.

I have a stock stereo no amps. And one has been rattling for the last 4 months.

VERY NICE

Got these for a friends car that had tired old factory speakers failing her. Put these in, and they work perfectly. We all know that feeling after you hook them up and turn the radio on, its the real test, and these passed with flying colors. Perfect for running off the deck power. Great sound for 5-1/4's.
