Beyond expectations!

I did extensive research before I bought these headphones....driver size.....read reviews...durability...everything....I like my music loud and full of thump man....I listen to Chevelle/ Tool/ Pink Floyd/ breaking Benjamin and I want it to change my vital signs....ring my bell...I bought 2 other types and brands claiming to be the best....then I bought these....and gave all the others away as gifts...these things ROCK! and I mean rattle your brain and thin your blood...lol...very comfortable to wear....long long cord....gold contacts....GREAT VALUE....not sure if I can say this on here...but they are better than the 200 dollar bose pair I bought first.....way better...sorry bose. and as for sonic electronics....Top Notch outfit man! prompt delivery...great prices....great customer service, and I'm kindof a jerk...so way great customer service man.....two thumbs up man!

Great Value

This is a great introduction to hi-fi headphones. While not audiophile quality, the sense that you are wearing light speakers on your head is adequate. There is hardly any sound leakage, while they fit snug over the ears and are featherweight-light thanks to the mesh headband. All the high notes are nice, and even better low frequency while not being overpowering and rattling your head. My only con (and a common one at that) is just a little more 'mmph' in the mid range. Long story short, if you know how to work an equalizer (two-pass with or without an amp) then you will be very happy.

Very nice for enhanced listening

These are fairly comfortable speakers. For someone with large ears like me, these completely surround them and feel very nice. Sound quality is definitely great, but missing in the mids and bass. My only other complaint is this headset really pushes my glasses up above my line of sight when I am wearing glasses - I know weird but they feel tight and are pinched up when I wear these with glasses.

Best Headphones I've Owned!!

I'm a budget guy. I buy budget stuff, I don't have money to buy $100 headphones. A pal of mine does. He bought Sennheiser HD 429 for $80. I bought mine for $33. These JVCs are miles ahead. The sound clarity is off the hinges, I have to listen to each of my fav songs using them to get all the details I have missed with other headphones. The bass is not trying too hard to impress, it is just right. Stereo is redefined when you wear them. So are the mids and the highs. The only downside with these is that they are HUGE!! Not portable at all. So I can only use them in the house with games, music and movies (what else??) If that is what you are going for, you cant go wrong with these.
