Everyone loves this product. Everyone at b*** b** loves this product, but the thing is, your gonna pay 200 dollars more for this then you would here! Well worth that money you spend here!

GOTTA GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This product works very well in any compatible vehicle and looks great at night. The 7 band equalizer is very accurate and provides all the volumes of frequency you prefer especially if u have an idea of what it does.

The voltage level on this unit is awesome and provides sufficient power to your amp. I currently have three JL Audio 10's(900 total watts) with an 820 watt Power Acoustik power series amp on the subs and it wakes the block and cleans your ears with pure hard-hitting bass!!!!

If you're the type of person who wants exclusive, mind-blowing car audio accessories that no one else has on the streets then you've come to the right place. The unit is not bulky, it's detachable and it attracts the same attention from the girls as it would any 6-7inch screen.

Great buy for a low price which no one else can beat. Trust me on this one!!!

Solid, Beautiful, and Affordable Head Unit!

JVC really hit home for me on this one: excellent product design without the bulky, motorized 7'' facade as a screen...for that reason, it's also a bit safer and a lot more affordable! Minimalistic button and faceplate design really take this headunit away from the more commonly known "busy" head units.
As for complaints with MP3 playback, sure it may be a little slow- but really any CD player with MP3 playback will ALWAYS have a delay, and more often than not will not allow one to fast foward and start song from previous ending point. MP3's are files that the system has to read and decrypt as an audio signal, rather than reading it straight from an audio signal, such as on a normal CD or CD-R.
The remote control is not bad, and actually allows one to use a nice amount the features in the head unit. As for the graphical user interface, I don't find it confusing- no more confusing than an iPod or something similar...sure there may be a couple embeded preferences here and there, but it really isn't THAT painful to sort through menu's for the 3 seconds that it takes to tweak the EQ settings...which by the way is VERY nice having a SEVEN BAND EQ. Also, the integration of Sirius satelite radio (when purchasing the adapter box sold seperately, with plan) is very nice. Sure, not a lot of people have the use of displaying JPEGs on the screen...but the fact that one can do that is pretty damn cool anyway...why not FIND a use for that- I sure have! (my secret...)
This is a head unit that most everyone should take for a test drive! Sonic Electronix has one of the best deals on the net for them too! B*** B** could never beat that!

Very nice

Very awsome head unit, screen had very good quality and a very wide viewing angle. This site has a very good deal on this head unit too. I would totally vote for this unit. Very easy to install and easy to work with. I havent had any problems with it yet, but i doubt i will.

NOT BAD

I think that is a Great Buy here not at the 599 price it is everywhere else. I has great basic features, wonderfull sound quality. Extras are something that is really lacking for example the backrounds are really less than desirable and the interface can be confusing. The dvd looks great and sounds good. The remote is a little slow but its not bad. Also when changing between sources is generally quick, but when a DVD is in it can lag somewhat. Taking the face off is simple enuff. So for those of you ballin on a budget such as my self then this is a great pick. If you can spend a few more hundred and buy a 7inch flip....Peace

JVC KD-AVX1

This stereo is a mind blower. I love the way it has front and rear outputs plus its own sub output. The extra video in/outputs come in very handy. It lacks in some feature areas I like in other stereos but is simple to program. I installed it in my 94 X-Cab C1500 and although my kids can see the picture when a movie is playing the screen is a bit small (plans for a 12" flipdown are in the works). Overall I am satisfied with it.

My best friend has this dvd receiver on his explorer and it looks good even on the 3rd row seats.

good unit

The picture quality is way above what I had expected and the brightness is excelent. The built in eq works way better than any I have used before and the subwoofer crossover has a good range of frequency to select from.
The only complaint I have is that the faceplate lights do not dim very much from the dimmer input signal and they do not adjust with the lcd brightness control so they light up the whole interior of my car at night.

this head unit is amazing its the perfect unit for the car audio enthusiast built in screen so you dont have to deal with those flimsy fold outs plenty of power from its amp clear video and crisp sound it is great

Awesome Head Unit

This is one awesome head unit. The Screen is a little small but still watchable from the front seats. The sound quality is great with the 7 band equalizer. I have it hooked up to a 75 watt per channel AMP driving 6x9 and 6-1/2" Infinity Ref speakers in my Dodge Quad cab. The Head unit is driving 3-1/2" Infinity speakers in the dash and they keep up with the speakers driven by the amp. The surround sound is as good as my home stereo even without a center speaker up front.

The display is great for the Sirius Satellite as it shows the Artist and Song title at the same time. If the title or name is too long to show it scrolls. I like being able to tilt the screen so you can see better. The black color looks great in my Ram as it has all black interior. I do wish you could change the blue backlight for the two round controls but it does look cool.

I may add a rear seat monitor so that the rear seat pasangers can see better and try out the dual zone capability.

It looks well built and probably less trouble than those with the 6-7" monitors that slide out of the dash.

Even without the DVD capability this unit would be worth what sonicelectronix is asking.

There is so many options on this. I personally dont have one but i have played with a floor model and I was there for hours amazed by all of the options that it has on it. I think that this would be a good buy for the money that you pay.

Durable deck, but not user friendly.

The sound and quality is without a doubt excellent on this unit. It is a heavy duty and study face plate and the whole unit is extremely well built.

The idea behind this deck is great, however it does have some major flaws.

When playing mp3's from a DVD, when you restart your car, the MP3 plays all over again from the begining - which means that you could be stuck listening to the same track over and over again if you make a lot of short trips.

There is a quite bit of a delay when switching mp3's tracks on a mp3/dvd as well. Min of 2 seconds after a button is pressed to up to 5 seconds.

The minimal button layout is meant to eliminate a busy looking console, however is difficult to use and distracting as many options are navigatable on screen, rather than having their own buttons. This proves to be distracting while driving. You'll find yourself constantly looking at your screen and "mousing" around while on the road. This has proven to be very annoying and have found myself pulling over more than once to get to where I want to be in the options menus.

This display is absolutely amazing and seems to be clearer than my HD LCD in my room. $429 is a steal seeings that I paid $525 6 months ago. Why pay $1200 for a 7" when you can have this?

JVC DVD PLAYER

I Have had this unit for about 4 months and i love it. it will play video's with my monitor in the back and i can still listen to music in the front. it is an awesome system.
