Great product!

This JVC high-def radio is great..... picks up all your new high def channels, and plays cd's, mp3's, and wma files. Has preamp outs, and subwoofer level controls, as well as a graphic equalizer.

This Radio Rocks !

I installed the JVC KD-HDR1-B in my wife's car and was blown away with how great it sounds. Perhaps I was shocked by how good HD Radio sounds, and the variety of stations that are on the air, I never knew! We took a long trip in her car, and each city we went through had several stations broadcasting in HD, and the audio performance was stunning. The AM stations in HD sounded like FM, and the FM stations in HD sounded like CD. Also, we discovered a lot of hidden secret stations without commercials on the FM HD stations. Unbelievable.

Good HD radio for the price

I had a regular JVC CD player / radio in the car already, this was a simple swap to put in the HDR1. Like the unit although I do not use all the features like remote or external inputs, I would get another one. I would have preferred to have old fashioned equalizer as well as the more involved "user" setup on the HDR1. The preset modes do an OK job. Did have to replace the factory rear speakers ( Pontiac ). The old JVC drove them fine, but they sounded terrible with the HDR1. Had already replaced the bad front speakers before the HDR1 went in so don't know how the factory ones would have sounded.

JVC KD-HDR1-B

This radio is very nice, i couldn't figure out how to set the settings to use the external aux port. If it was a internal aux port it would be sweeter. it has built in HD Radio and the channels pick right up when you turn it on. I installed it myself, very easy.

I recently bought this radio, everything was in perfect shape, and the radio works great. Sonic has the best prices around, and this radio was really worth the money.

HD is amazing

If you are near any big city, they probably have HD stations...the KD-HDR1 is excellent at pulling in a HD signal and it really does make FM sound like a CD and AM radio sound like FM. The only pitful I can find is if you're not close enough to the radio station towers you may have trouble with it cutting in and out or if you are in another city 60 miles from the station you can get local interference.

My best HD reception seems to come when I'm in the country or on the interstate. It's well worth it...the radio also is excellent at playing WMA files and will display the title/artist being played. Non HD stations come in okay but for me, the bass isn't heavy enough.

I love the radio though. Just a side note, if you also have XM, and try feeding the signal through the auxiliary input adapter, make the investment in a XM power supply that doesn't use the cigarette lighter...because you'll get vehicle hiss/whine otherwise. I found the wired FM modulator actually works better.

Great Sound!

This is worth it! 130 bux for an HD Radio, it sounds awesome! The HD stations have a super strong signal and displays the song titles/artists on the screen from the radio! This thing is worth it!

Fantastic Choice at a Good Price

The product has a state of the art design and quality. The only down fall of this product is that the HD stations tend to repeat them self when first tuning into the H D stations. The station soon clears up within 5 min to normal reception.

HD Radio + CD/MP3 Player - Perfect combination

I love this radio. it was simple to install, sounds great and does everything I need it to do. It works great with MP3 CDs and regular CDs. It also works great as an HD Radio. It has some neat features with the circle surround sound, it can really add some richness to a lot of songs (others it just doesn't work, but there are very few). Sonic electronix sent me all of the parts I needed to install the radio, I just had to buy a few butt splices and the installation took less than 45 minutes. (note, I have no prior experience or expertise in this area).

JVC KD-HDR1-B

I would have to say that the shipping was excellent. The only thing I didn't like was that you had a problem with my P.O. Box and my street address. There were no instructions on how to use the HD radio and it took my a while to figure it out. It's very good for city life but if you are in the country the HD stations fade in and out. If I had to do it all over again I would still buy the HD radio. Thank you, Carl.
