Great Upgrade for Stereo/Ipod/CD player

Sonic had this in stock and shipped it quickly. This is basically the same stereo as the JVC HDR59 Arsenal except the warranty and a few cosmetic differences. This one is cheaper and matched my interior scheme better so I bought it. (the infinite colors help the scheme too)The kit that came with it worked perfectly and the install was pretty easy. I am very impressed with everything and is a big upgrade over my already upgraded Premium stereo from Toyota. Navigation of the controls are somewhat difficult at first but after using it for a while it does not bother me. This thing works great for my iphone and my daughters ipod and charges them both perfectly. You can use the interface of the stereo to navigate or your ipod. You can also hook a flash drive up full of your favorite tunes. The CD player and the built in HD radio top off a great sounding system with plenty of power. Great job JVC!

USB Wonderful

The USB is fantastic for using flash drive, ipod, or mp3 player. Flash drive is limited to 350 files per folder but you can have up to 250 folders. A top value for what is on the market now. I have a little trouble remembering some of the menu sequences but that's because I only use this vehicle once or twice a week.

nice radio

I bought this radio because Sonic was back ordered on the Dual XHD 6430. I'm glad they were out.

This is a really nice radio. It works perfectly with my IPod touch. I love the USB function though because I only use my IPod on trips. Memory sticks are cheap and I don't worry about them coming up missing.

I live in North Central Florida, sort of in the sticks. I was worried about the HD reception here. No problem, I get tons of HD stations.

I would definitely recommend this radio.

This was my first purchase from Sonic. It won't be my last. Funny how the best deal in Florida was in California.

Free Shipping and the included installation kit was nice too.

Best Deal out there

The radio has worked very well. I bought it for the aux inputs for my IPOD. I have zero complaints. Sonic had the best deal and product that I was looking for

Pretty good

Pros: Looks nice, good iPod interface, adjustable colors.
Cons: Display is too dim, not sure about HD reception. Menus are pretty hard to use.
My main problem is the display is too dim and sunlight makes it very hard to read. I am not pulling in HD channels very well but that might just be my car's antenna.

JVC KD-HDR50

Bought new back in 2009 and the front aux input stopped working almost a year later. The HD radio tuner fades in and out causing the sound to somewhat repeat/echo briefly while the signal settles. I should have stayed with Sony. There is no loudness feature and this would have definitely improved the overall sound. I used this with a Hifonics 4ch Zeus 680wrms amp, Boss 2 or 3(forget) way x-over, and was powering one 12" sub and 4 coax speakers and 1 set of 1" tweeters. Going back to Sony.
