Very Happy
This is a nice stereo for beginner and advanced users alike. I have been very happy with it thus far.
The front USB port and HD radio are nice features to have. The USB navigation is very straightforward if take a little time to organize your USB drive. With the included remote, it is easy to flip between folders and songs. I will sometimes create folders with playlists and you can shuffle the songs just in that folder. It is great for podcasts and audiobooks.
The look of the unit is very nice too. A nice feature is the ability to set the colors to about any selection in the spectrum. This is great so that you can match your car's interior lighting and are not stuck with an obnoxious color scheme.
I have not had a problem with this unit and it was very easy to install.

Awesome Stereo
I bought this JVC unit about a year ago and since I got it installed, I've loved it ever since! I bought this model because it plays Usb's, Connects Auxillary, and Charges my iPod while playing. The Creative assorted color presets for day & night and it doesn't have so many buttons that your afraid to press something. The Equalizer on there has made my stock speakers sound louder and I've received nothing but good, solid reviews when I've showed family, friends or people my stereo. Its not complicated to use, has good features like option of connecting your Sirius/XM account to it (like I have installed on mine), the playback on iPod thru stereo or iPod and plays my MP3/WMA Cd's with ease. I'm happy that I got this stereo after deciding cause I didn't wanna spend much but still wanted enough features that kept my car bumping music. I recommend this JVC Unit if you don't want too much or are on a tight budget but most of all still, appreciate good features that you would enjoy than paying for any higher priced brands.

Great Value
For the money the HD radio comes in clear and sounds like CD is playing and eq adjustment is simple but gets the job done great radio if your replacing your stock radio with an upgrade also with usb playing music of your mp3 player of flash drive is super convenient.

Great stereo, but with strange noise issues.
There's a lot to like about this stereo. When it comes down to features, this one has everything short of Bluetooth. HD radio built-in, excellent FM reception, CD, preamp outputs, adjustable EQ bands centered at sane frequencies (not parametric), customizable colors for the buttons and display for both day and night, and, most importantly for some, it gets plenty loud and does a good job of it.
There is one big downside, however, that serves as a stark reminder that, while this radio is packed with features, it is still somewhat of a "budget" unit. When you turn the volume up past about 25-30, you can hear strange noises that sound almost electrical, like a beeping in the background. It becomes increasingly apparent at higher volume levels. It also picks up noise from the lights dimming in my car. Ordinarily I would think this all to be a grounding or other power/isolation issue, but I tried running power straight to the battery, and even put a capacitor on it to try and filter the noise. No matter what I tried, the noise simply would not change or go away.
Then I discovered something purely by accident. The test that puts this stereo in the slammer for sound quality is this: set it to AUX input, turn it off and back on, and turn the volume up with nothing playing. Note the sound it makes. Then switch it to FM, and back to AUX. The sound gets substantially louder (and slightly different--hard to describe), even though the volume is the same! Even more condemning, turning the stereo off and back on returns the noise to its previous level. This is clearly a fault of the stereo itself, and not the environment it is running in.
Overall, this is a very good stereo. If you're looking for a good-looking stereo with lots of options and features for cheap, this is your ticket. But if you're looking for real sound quality, look elsewhere.

Excellent Stereo
This is a great stereo for the price. HD radio is a big plus and so is the USB input. I have a Sony Walkman MP3 and it works well with the stereo. This is the best car stereo I have ever owned.

Exactly what I was looking for!
I was looking for a car stereo that had HD radio, an auxiliary jack for an MP3 player and CD player for the occasional disc play. This fits all my needs, plus it has a USB port. Never really used the USB but it's good to have for something later. HD radio works great and well worth the cost of the unit if you have an HD radio signal in your area (check out hdradio.com to verify if your city has it).

Limited to No Radio Reception
I am VERY disappointed with this product! I get practically no radio reception on this unit when the Altima factory radio that I replaced got good reception. This JVC does not allow you to manually program stations so if it doesn't come in with a good strong signal the auto tune feature will skip right over. I purchased this unit specifically for the USB port but this too fails to pass muster. It fried my 16GB thumb drive within a week. I had a JVC head unit and 12 disc changer prior to this purchase that I was satisfied with, but after this product's dismal performance, I will not purchase JVC again. After only 5 months of use, I am replacing this JVC with something that works!

Great Value
I have owned this JVC for about six months and it seems to do everything as advertised. The only complaint I have with this piece is the fact of only two preamps out (front and sub). If you are running a two amp setup, as myself, you will need an LOC if you want or need to amplify your front rear and sub. Otherwise a decent product for the money but controls are hard to find in the settings.

Good reciever
This receiver was installed in a 1995 Ford F150. Very easy to install. Has alot of good features. One down side is, it doesn't have any buttons on it for preset radio stations. When using the presets, if you seek for a station and go back to presets it will start at preset #1. For me this is inconvenient. Has good sound overall and has alot of options to get the sound that you desire.

Great Radio! Great Value!
Installed in my 1999 Ford Taurus. HD Radio is fantastic if you are in a reception zone. The sound is fantastic. Even better if you upgrade your stock speakers. I also installed Pioneer TS-A6872R speakers all around. Best stereo I've ever owned. Buy yourself a little memory stick and carry all your music around!!! Liked it so much that I put one in My Niece's Chevy Cavalier. Chevy speaker aren't that good so expect to upgrade them as well. My only complaint is that the tone, bass, and fade controls are not easy to reach.

Seems to be a great unit
Lots of features many pro's 2 cons: will not play random songs from the usb only random folders. Not the best choice for random (IMO)
Could be a little more user friendly.
Great for the price though

Great Deck
Purchased the HDR60 for my motorhome. The HD Radio is a big plus. The deck works great for a home theatre using the external inputs from the motorhome TV and the output to an external amp and subwoofer. No flimsy dials and switches on this deck.

Good value
Nice head unit for the money. I'm running the unit with no amps to a pair of Coustic 5x7's and a set of DCM boxes. A little light on the bass at low vol, but nothing adding a sub couldn't fix. Face buttons are small, but the remote alleviates that issue. The numerous display color combinations make it easy to adapt to various interior schemes and to overcome ambient lighting problems.

Lots of Extras Great Value
This JVC Face Unit was a wonderful buy. It has all the bells and ringers I wanted for my classic car. Love the ability to play music thru the USB port.

Great Value, Great Product
Excellent product for the money. I spent the extra few dollars to upgrade to a better radio and for a radio that have satellite capability for future use. Learning to work the controls is the main challenge for me. I would recommend this product.

Excellent Product
JVC has been my favorite vehicle replacement radio for years and this unit performed as expected. HD Radio is nice and really enjoy the USB option. Takes a bit of time getting use to the controls/menus but once the unit is set, its all pleasure. I would recommend this radio.

Love it
Bought this unit to replace the similar DUAL in dash which failed after about 18 months. JVC has made some improvements to it's original HD Stereo and added several cosmetic enhancements. When I'm not listening to the commercial free HD stations in my city, I've got a flash drive plugged in, enjoying hundreds of my own tunes.
My only con is that most of the controls are buried within layers of options accessed by 2 buttons, so changing tone, clock settings, etc. takes some work.
If it fits in your car, I'd definitely consider it!! And dealing with Sonic was smooth & simple.

Great Radio!
I've now had this radio 6 months and have been impressed by its features, especially the USB interface. It even remembers where I left off using my MP3 player. Sound is good and strong. HD radio is okay but I really don't have enough channels in my area to give a fair evaluation. The only thing I missed was having numbered radio stations shown on the face of the radio (1-6) to go to a direct radio station instead of going through JVC's interface. Appearance is great. I love all those colors to choose from even though it is a bit of an overkill. I have absolutely no complaints with this radio and would recommend this radio to anyone who wants to get into the newer technology like USB and HD radio at a reasonable price.

Comes with a lot of features for the money and the color match is a feature that other brands don't even offer. My bro has not had a problem with it yet. Bluetooth add on is expensive tho.

Surprised
I bought this for my girlfriends car and like the title says, i was surprised. I have always owned Kenwood units in the past and was not sure if this was going to sound that good, concidering the price of it and the features it came with. But it ended up being a great buy. Lots of features and easy to use. Looks really clean and sounds really clear. Almost on par with my $300 Kenwood, but not quite. But my next upgrade for myself might be to the JVC in dash dvd player.
All in all really good unit and for the price, you can't go wrong. recomend to anyone.

Good HD radio
The only problem I have is that the radio forgets how to sync with Ipod
(3rd gen) every now and then. You have to manually reset the radio using a paperclip. The pain is that then you have to remember all your eq settings and reset all the presets and clock again. May happen every 2 weeks.

JVC KD-HDR60
Overall, I'm happy with the stereo. I haven't had a new stereo in about 15 years so I'm impressed with amount of control over the sound thats packed in this unit. The EQ and crossovers are great, but seven bands and a lot less button pushing would better. With the quality speakers and amps in my tundra, I can tailor the sound anyway I want and the balance and clarity is phenominal.

Great product by JVC!
First off, great price from these guys. Got mine for approximately $125 and it came with every thing but the antena adapter ($4.99 from Sonic). I drive a '95 Chevy S10 Blazer 4Door. "B***" B** wanted like $165+ for the stereo, $20 for the wiring harness adapter, $9 for the antena adapter, and $20 or $25 for the dash DIN kit. And they wanted to install it for an additional $50! That's $220 plus tax! Anyway, the stereo is sweet, love it! The only CON is that it doesn't have a lot of buttons on it, so that means scrolling through the options menu while trying to drive down the road, not the best idea, but it does have a remote and that helps. I have four 240W JVC speakers (unamplified) and this thing is LOUD! My rearveiw mirror vibrates.Bottom line: Great value, great product! I would recommend this stereo by JVC!

Good choice!
I really enjoy my JVC KD-HDR60 deck. I compared many units before choosing this one and I am very happy with it. I really like the feature where you can controll your iPod with the remote or the iPod itself. I shopped around and Sonic Electronix had the best price and free shipping!

Good Unit
Great head unit for the money. I love the HD radio, however in my city there are only a handful of stations in HD. The usb port is fantastic, and you can shuffle the music within a folder, just not on the entire thumb drive. I never use the CD player as I have everything on thumb drives. iPod shuffles will not work with the AUX port. The remote is a bit small for me, and I wish they would have configured the buttons a bit better. The equalizer is also very customizable, or you can use one of the preset EQ options. Overall two thumbs up!

Great features for the money
Very good receiver, iPod connection and HD radio work great. Only minor complaint is regarding no preset buttons. A bit trickier to setup presets and to recall them, but once you get used to it the receiver is a great value.

NICE
The only complaint I have about this is when my ipod is plugged in and I'm using the head controls, while scrolling it doesn't show the name of the artist/album/song right away. It just says what number it is for a moment then switches to the name. But since i can just switch to ipod controls it doesnt really matter. Otherwise it is extremely nice, lots of power, lots of features, easy to use, and it looks good.

Great Head Unit!
This is a great head unit for the price. It was a snap to install (after I got into the dash of my 2003 Explorer,) and sounds great. You can customize the display color to match your existing dashboard.
