great product

I have a previous model equivalent to this so when my sister needed a new stereo I got this one for her. She absolutely loves it!!!!!

great radio for the price

I love the radio it does what I want and has great sound quality for my truck

Works as advertised

I was looking for a USB + bluetooth system that would be able to play CDs too. This is one of the few systems that fit the mark and didn't break the bank.

Pretty happy with it's performance so far. A couple of minor things
- selecting which phone to play audio from when multiple phones are connected via bluetooth isn't immediately apparent and I still haven't figured it out.
- the buttons are a little flimsy
Not deal breakers by any measure.


Sonic's shipping was fast and the included fitting hardware makes it cheaper than any other place online.

good headunit!

Installed this headunit in a frjends car.. really brought the stock speakers toife.. good controls and the jvc bluetooth works great.. i reccomend this unit as a great starting point.. or just to maximize a factory system..

wasnt impressed

I liked this product when I first got it but the bluetooth got very annoying. It freezes up sometimes and won't let me switch songs. Usually I can just hit play on the stereo when I get in the car but sometimes I have to use my phone to hit play. Lastly the radio sounds terrible and very staticky Everything thing else works well though.

great deal

The JVC KD R740BT stereo I purchased from Sonic Electronics was a excellent choice. Everything you could ask for in a car stereo has it in this model. Sound quality and adjustability is excellent as well as the Bluetooth feature works very well. installation was very easy as it came supplied with wiring plug kit for my vehicle. Overall I would purchase again from Sonic Electronic. The prices are great and there shipping is very fast. Will do business with them again.

am radio signal strength very poor

I live in a city of 100,000 so not a huge amount of radio stations. This JVC has no AM signal strength. Very disappointed and sent it back. Can't come close to the Pioneer super tuner signal strength on AM or FM radio. All else is ok.
