hack of the contols

hey this works great on my music. if your really good there is a hack that has something to do with the battery of the ipod or how it entered the jack ( like in sleep mode or something or screen lock) that allows you to controle the music selection through the ipod ^^ its neat but i was only able to do it twice ( i called it a fluke remember lol )

Easy to install just plug n play great with the my reciever. Only downside is you can not view albums with the KD-HDR1 reciever you have to scroll through all the songs rather then just using the ipod to go directly to the song you want.

Very Good

Great product , simple and easy to install.
It's a little difficult to navigate to the songs you want through the JVC receiver.
Also does not charge the ipod.

Does what it does and no more.

Works well, but does not allow you to browse music on the iPod itself. It also does not work with my iPhone. Bummer.

Works As Advertised, Recommended!

The product worked exactly as advertised, and with the popularity of iPods these days it's nice to be able to incorporate them into aftermarket stereos. This product allows me to use the iPod as if it's in my hand, but through the deck unit. It's nice to have thousands of songs on random/repeat while cruising!

iPod hook up.

This works great. I have had no problems with it, nor did i have any problems hooking it up. Works for most all iPods, but not for the iTouch or iPhone. I have the iPhone and i wish that this would support this.

End of the chain

I installed this product to replace the ipod connection that came on my stock radio when I switched out to JVC AV-X2. The product works ok but the permanantly attached cables are a little short. I was connecting this to a sirius tuner in the trunk of my car and the cables forced me to put the box under the drivers seat and the ipod connection barely reaches the cubby in the dash that I wanted to put my ipod in. The other problem is that if I want to add a CD changer or another auxillary input, I can not. Why this product doesn't have a daisy chain connector like the Sirius and xm tuners I do not know. Over all it does what it is supposed to but it will be the last thing in the daisy chain connections.

JVC KS-PD100 Solid perfromance

Unit installed easily into an '03 Toyo Tacoma except for the face plate which limits the tilt feature.
takes a while to adjust to not having a volume control knob or button, adjusting volume is sometimes iffy depending on the road.
connecting phone was fairly straight forward but adding address book entries is not.

Easy installation, works as it should

I would recommend this to any friend that has the opportunity to make their deck iPod ready. The buttons on the deck imitate the functionality of the iPod click-wheel, which makes it easy to navigate the menus. However, scrolling is a pain, because you simply hold down the button, and if you have thousands of songs like I do and are looking for a particular song, you'll be holding the button for a while.

Fantastic product

Although I paid $100 for it rather than the great price of $59.99, it is a fabulous product. Very easy to use and configure on the head unit's LCD display. Great product, extremely satisfied.

Great Product

I love this product. I would recommend it to anyone. The only bad thing is that you have to control it through the stereo face and can not use the ipod to control it. That is fine with me though because i just put it on shuffle.

JVC KS-PD100

Works well with iPod for listening to music. Does have a problem. Seems to only charge older fire wire iPods, does not charge the newer iPods that charge via USB

Works great!

This thing is great. I love having my old iPod mini connected. It sits in the glovebox and I can access it from the stereo without fumbling around with it. Installation was a breeze. Next best thing if you don't want to upgrade your iPod.

Nice product but...

If you own an iPod Touch, do not buy this cable! It is not compatable. Otherwise with any other iPod it works just fine.

easy install

This unit was installed with easy in less than 30 minutes, Allowed the full use of the IPOD with the new JVC radio. Small enough to hide in dash behind radio with only the cable sticking out to plug the IPOD into.

Works great

It works great and is easy to connect but on mine it does not read the song. But i can control it from the face. And sounds way better then any f/m transmitter.
