This stereo is great sounding and looks terrific. Loaded with all the latest features - more than I was looking for. But once I had them...I'm glad I got them. Looks and sounds great

I like the flexible options for the colors which can match any vehicle. However, I have been unable to figure out how to change the color from blue when I get a call and also from white when I select the menu. I can override this to match the main color, but I was hoping I could select a custom color for when the phone rings or when I press the menu. Sound quality is superb with the built in Texas Instruments Burr Brown 24 bit D/A converter. Also this unit has a built in electronic crossover for the highpass and low pass(subwoofer output). You can select several x over points or none if you want to run full range. Unit has 3 pairs of preamp outputs. Works great playing from an iPhone 4 including streaming music via bluetooth. Built in phone features are great, some callers report a slight echo in the background. I would advise using the rear USB cable for the provided bluetooth adaptor so you can use the front USB port to play MP3 or wav files. Make sure your MP3's are recorded at 198kbs or higher if you want them to sound as good as a CD. Works great with the steering wheel control interface (sold as an addon - recommend the Axxess brand as it is easy to set up and install). I also added the HD Radio Tuner but I can't really tell the quality difference so I am not sure I would go to the trouble of adding one on. If I had to do it over I would of added the SAT radio accessory instead. There are some other features like the setting for the preamp output within the setting menu. Use High if you have external amps this gives you a volume range from 0-50 the low or standard setting is 0-30. Sub control includes a phase switch, level control and crossover point (defeatable if desired). The only gripe is that I would have liked to have the sub control listed at the same level in the interface structure so that I would'nt have to go to audio then subwoofer then level. Would of been nice to have both level controls for the bass, treble and sub on the root or parent level within the control interface. I am going to contact JVC to request this as the firmware is updatable. A warning about the LCD display, though I suspect other brands do the same thing too. When you wear polarized sunglasses you can't really read the display. My factory radio had a different display design I guess because I was always able to read my display screen. This is definately an area that JVC needs to address when making their next model line. Other than that I would say this is the best audio only double din head unit on the market at this time. I've looked at them all and this one is the best

My daughter loves it!

My daughter's CD player went out in her Passport. I bought this to replace it. It's a fantastic stereo at a great value. The Bluetooth works amazingly and keeps both hands on the wheel. It looks really cool. If my stereo goes out, this'll be my replacement choice, too. I recommend it without hesitation.
