Works prefectly
Works without a flaw on my 98 Acura Integra. I installed it by simply soldering the wires needed to my Sony CDX-GT660UP's wiring harness.

Review of Metra 70-1720 Wiring Harness
I used this part installing an aftermarket CD player/Radio in a 1998 Toyota Sienna van. It worked as advertized and the unit is still performing fine, six months after installation.

Excellent Value
I highly recommend the Metra wiring harness adapters. They are an excellent value for your money. They insure the proper function of the head unit as well as eliminating the possibility of interfering with other electronics. This is extremely important in modern cars, where the proper function of on-board electronics is vital to proper performance of your car/truck!

Always glad when Sonic includes the install accessory with my purchase. No problems yet and hopefully not ever. Thanks!

Only used one piece
Installed in a JVC 2din unit in a 2001 Honda Odyssey.
I ended up only using the rectangular bezel/surround piece (to cover the gaps between the unit and the dash cutaway.
The instructions are very messy, with steps not always clearly identified. Installation involves cutting away various tabs and pieces depending on your specific vehicle; this is tedious, and easy to get wrong. The side pieces have tabs sticking out which have holes where it is screwed to the vehicle. However, they seemed much flimsier than the metal brackets that came with the original radio, so I used the original ones instead. However, I do think the plastic ones would have gotten the job done, and probably would have made installing the bezel/surround piece easier.
My JVC unit actually came with its own bezel/surround piece, but it didn't quite fit the dash cutaway... had it fitted, I would not have needed this kit at all.

Doesn't Fit 2004 Honda CRV
Tried to install this in my 2004 Honda CRV-EX. Although the product description claims that it should be compatible, it isn't. I was replacing the original Honda double DIN CD changer with a single DIN player. The Sonic tech didn't believe me when I told him that it wasn't compatible. The mounting holes don't match the Honda, and it doesn't have a tray to fill in the empty space created when replacing the double DIN with a single.

Fits 1998 Honda Civic
Got this harness so I won’t have to cut stock wires to install after market radio in my friends 1998 civic. Works great.

Worked for me
I installed this in a 2000 Honda Accord EX with a Pioneer AVH-P3300BT DD DVD player. The only issue I had was cutting the center piece out, it wasn't very smooth. This is for a DD stereo, so why is it there? Otherwise, installed it, fit perfectly, no issues. Thanks for the free kit! Never any problems with Sonic, glad they can help, good prices, frequently the cheapest around.

Metra 95-7801 Double DIN Installation Dash Kit
Used this product to install Panasonic CQ-5800U Double DIN radio in a 2000 Honda CRV. All the parts needed to install the radio were included in this kit and required no alteration with the exception of the radio faceplate trim ring (square ring). This part required trimming of the interior as it was too narrow in both height and width. Trimming was time consuming and required patience so as to not break this thin fragile part. Once trimmed the square ring had gaps on all sides and made the installation look like a cheap aftermarket install.

Good product, wish the instructions was more detailed
Good product can't complain but the only thing is the instructions isn't full straight forward,it lacks a few details. The screws had to be trimmed down cuz they struck up to far and touch my double dins face trim.
On the other note you'll have to use your stock screws to hold the side panels to your new headunit. It doesn't come with any.

Great way to simplify wiring.
I like these wiring harnesses, it's much nicer to solder up the wiring on the bench than hunched over the dash of a car.

Excellent head unit for the money.
Works great, has a lot of nice features, 3 sets of pre-outs for my 4 channel amp and mono block. The display is bright and functional and the controls & buttons are easy to use. Has an aux input and USB but i run everything thru the bluetooth, which works perfectly. I would definitely recommend this product.

Metra 95-7801 Trim Kit
I bought this for a 2004 Honda CRV double DIN replacement radio (a Soundstream 64 VRN HB). I ended up only using the outer trim frame, which helped fill the gap between the radio opening for the stock Honda radio, and our new Soundstream radio. I was able to make this work by grinding out the frame's inner plastic using a Dremel grinder until the frame would finally fit over the Soundstream. This took me about an hour of patient grinding and fitting. I also used my Dremel to cut off a couple of dimples on my factory-original steel side mounts, which allowed me to reuse them on the new Soundstream . The other plastic parts provide with the trim kit seemed fine for another application.

Very Good Stereo
I just installed this stereo 01/08/19 It has a lot of features on it, very good FM tuner very clear signal, Bluetooth works very good for music pairing haven't use for a phone call cause I haven't hooked up the Mic yet, but as the other person said pretty much straight forward wiring as long as you have the aftermarket vehicle wiring adapter to connect to the color combinations with the stereo wiring. This stereo gave new life to my factory speakers in my CR-V. It has a customizable Equalizer which is very good and has bass boost settings as well. Only complaint is mainly the white blacklight clock and text and not having GPS haha but other than that this stereo is boss.

Happy with purchase
I bought this to replace the factory stereo in a 2001 Toyota Tundra for my wife. The install was easy once I figured out that the stock amplifier needs to be removed. The new harness plugs into the amplifier wiring and the stereo wiring. Just match up color to color with the stereo wiring and the harness adapter and crimp together with butt end connectors. I have no wiring experience and it was easy. Easy, intuitive controls. I, and my wife had no issues figuring out controls. Microphone for hands free talking included and has clear sound. Easily pairs with our phones. Will pair with 2 phones total. Works as advertised. I would purchase another for my vehicle.

Awesome stereo!!
This stereo has a quick response when it comes to connecting to my galaxy s6. Making phone calls sound clear like it should. The only downside is the remote control is optional. Not what I was expecting since I had bought the same model previously for my wife's car and that unit came with one. Overall I would still recommend this unit.

JVC KW R930BTS
I love my stereo radio. Only thing I would like better is having instructions on use a little better organized and larger print. Fun to use. I like that I can go through the channels and fine the one I want even if the channel is not available.
