really nice unit

This is a really nice receiver if you don't need a CD player. I haven't used a CD player in years. Sound quality is great and I love the built in 10 ban EQ. I Have been a Alpine fan for years and I can say this unit is just as good or better in ways. It looks great and easy to use. I run Pandora, google maps and make phone calls though my Samsung galaxy S4 with no problems.

Better than Expected

I have always been a Kenwood/Pioneer fanboy, but when it came to a unit for my daughter's 2001 Buick LeSabre there were no Kenwoods/Pioneer units that had the features I knew she would want at a price I could afford as this was a Christmas gift. I saw the Jensen and was surprised at the features available for the price. One feature was what it DIDN'T have: A CD/DVD mechanism (who actually uses CDs anymore). The install went fine, and paired with the Metra ASWC-1 and the Metra GMOS-05 the interface to the GM data bus was easy. The Jensen sounded good relative to the price and given the existing factory speakers, as good as any Kenwood Exelon would sound without external amps and better speakers and a sub.

The interface with the steering wheel control was a little tricky since the Jensen diagram was incorrect and the Metra instructions were right.

We used the SD card (32G) and it loads much quicker than my Kenwood and has a bright screen that displays well in daylight. The downside is that it doesn't sense when the lights are on to dim the display automatically (although there are 3 brightness settings).

Not sure about the reliability since we have only had it a few weeks, but so far, no firmware issues. Bluetooth integration with an LG p769 worked great and music streaming was without issue. Phone call integration was good too and worked as expected.

For the price and available features, I would purchase again.

Great product

I like it so much, it has a great quality in sound, equalization is perfect, and with the 4volt preamp output, i get a greatest sound, in my car, the only thing is that doesnt allow you to change the hpf to the speakers

Awesome stereo!

I bought this for my daughters Toyota RAV4 and is awesome! It not only has a bunch of great features but it improved the sound quality of the factory sound system immensely! Bluetooth connections are strong and reliable and all 4 of us have our iPhones synch'd with it. Her favorite feature is the backup camera I installed with it! Highly recommend!

Jensen DMX 5020

I'm pretty pleased with the Jensen DMX 5020. The radio has been dependable with blue tooth, music and the iPod. The real beauty here
is the extras Sonic Eletronix provides. Wiring harness, dash kit and adapters were included with my radio and that's a real value as I don't like chasing down parts. All in all I'm pretty pleased with my purchase.

Works Better than Described

I have had this head unit for a little over a month now and have really enjoyed it. You can reorder the apps on the main menu, hear voice directions through your speakers, the bass works great, bluetooth connectivity is instant, and the picture quality of the screen is perfect. I am very happy with this product.

I thought it would be difficult getting used to no discs but, I've had no problem. Sounds great and love the screen. No complaints.

Great Buy!

Bought this unit to replace my old existing Subaru head unit. It cleans up the harshness of the dash with its good looks! It syncs right up with my Bluetooth on my phone every time! Great sound and I love the fact that it has more than just bass and treble adjustments!

You Can't Beat this Value!

Bluetooth. Flash drives. Micro SD card. Its all you need for the car environment and it comes with a nice touchscreen all for around $150 bucks!! You can't beat it. Installed it in my Trailblazer in about 1 hour. Get the metra install kit and wiring harness. you will save yourself time and a big headache when installing. went right in. love it! Thanks Sonic! Great Headunit for your buck,Pandora controlled.

Just got mine in today can't wait to install it,Wanted a double din with touch screen and able to control Pandora without having a 3.5mm Jack. This one works Via Bluetooth for Androids. Took it out the box and im surprised on how light the whole unit it.

Jensen DMX5020

Installed the Jensen deck into a 2005 Ranger. Pleased with the results, sound quality is good, have not had a lot of time to try all of the bells & whistles, but the Bluetooth operates well and the screen resolution is surprisingly good with the backup camera installed. Would be nice to have the backup camera automatically come up in reverse, but I guess something I can live with.

Excellent product

This is an excellent unit, installation was easy although I did have to access Internet sources to fine some of the wire placements. It sounds great really couldn't ask for better for the price.

Bang for Buck

For the money paid for this i saved enough to buy speakers. Does everything I want it to do without breaking the bank. Phone calls work like a champ and has a rear camera hook up. Bluetooth, I-pod and USB.

Good head unit for the money

Plenty of features for the price! Bluetooth works well with my Samsung Galaxy s3. The menu structure is well thought out and doesn't require much reading of the manual as most functions are intuitive. I have played music and movies off of an SD card and it all works well although song title information doesn't always appear. I believe this is due to my data not being formattted correctly, and not a problem with the head unit. Contrary to what online retailers claim, I did NOT need a SWC adaptor for the controls on my 2002 honda accord. False signals can be ignored by setting certain keys to 'undefined'.
Overall I am pleased with the product and hope that it holds up over time. I will probably install a screen protector soon to protect the unit.

Not bad for a simple touchscreen receiver

This Jensen unit was a nice surprise. I needed something simple and didn't need a DVD/CD player so this fit my needs - it includes USB, an SD slot, Bluetooth - what else would I need? It accepts a video in for an Aux DVD player and also a video in for a backup camera. The Bluetooth works well - the rear backup cam input works well (more on this later) and it has 4V preouts that I will be using shortly.

Pros - 4V pre-outs. Bluetooth, USB, SD slot. iPhone works flawlessly. Rear camera input. EQ! :)

Cons - sometimes the screen is a little slow to react - but not incredibly slow to be annoying. The backup camera doesn't go on automatically when in reverse. I have to touch the camera icon first. Admittedly I haven't researched if I can make it work automatically yet but simply hooking up the camera doesn't seem to be enough. Very limited settings.

Overall a great buy. I can't wait to hook up my amp and drive some new components and sub.

Decent for the price

Cheaper double din. Works great though for the simple task of hooking up to a system and playing music through an iPod or Bluetooth. Little laggy and freezes at times but will catch up and do the commands you wanted it to do. Id recommend this to someone looking for a cheap double din that gets the job done and doesn't have money for those nice $250+ headunits
