Great stereo

This is a great car stereo for the price. I installed it myself, no problems. I run my XM radio and ipod through this system.

Lacking for Nano 5G

Exellent for video, back up camera & general entertainment for kids. That said, it won't control the current generation of Ipods, even the Scosche or Griffin adapters. Will play through the 3.5mm jack but you have to crank the volume way up to hear it. Sound from the head unit is tinny at best, HD radio is remarkably clear. AM reception (other than HD stations) is lousy....yes some of us still listen to AM stations. Listing by vehicle says it will fit in my 2002 F250....."Will fit" with the supplied adapter is a bit of a stretch. Dash re-shaping, had to grind down the adapters you attach to the side of the head unit just to get it in the dash. Good price? Probably.....not sure if I would buy one again.

Attractice price.

Well the title says it's best feature. Bought mine from a local store that i've been going to for a long time. Great features such as dvd player and ipod hook up.

At the same time i got TMA component speakers to replace my blown speakers in my 97 Nissan Maxima. The sound quality was terrible. I thought it to be the speakers so i had the place i got them from swap them out and put new ones in. Same brand/model speakers as before but this time i was getting even more distortion. So yet again i swapped out the speakers but this time put Alpine in. Still buzzing and popping noises coming from the tweeters.

So im coming to my conclusion that it may be the amplifier isn't sufficient enough to power these aftermarket speakers i bought. I have a $3k sound system in my other car with all top end stuff. Guess u get what you pay for. Oh and it's a pain in the butt to use the ipod from the radio itself. You have to use the remote it comes with to scroll through playlists which makes it difficult to focus on driving while trying to jam out to a good song.

Great For The Price, But... .

This is a great little unit. I bought it from Sonic Electronix in February to replace the unit in my '03 Ford Explorer. I had it installed in around 40 minutes and it sounds great--a little weaker than my factory head unit, but I'm running it through an amp, so it balances out. The picture is very clear and I was able to run my headrest monitors (also from Sonic) very easily through it. It has the components (iPod, USB, memory card slot) that I wanted and can use them readily without having to wait for the face to open. Its one flaw is that the clock cannot be set.
