Great Unit

Great unit for the price. It has a lot of features and I use most of them. The only draw-back on this unit is burned CDs/DVDs. You have to use quality blanks if you want them to work, and work for a long time. I have the backup camera (not included), bluetooth, and HD (included) hooked up and they both work great. Draw-back on the HD is that it automatically changes to the best station even if you want it to stay on the "not so good" station. I have not figured a way out to change that option.

Good Product

I think this is a great upgrade from the OEM in-dash receiver. I installed this unit in my new F-150 and it has taken the vehicle to a new level of enjoyment. The sound is great, the controls are easily accessible and the screen is bright and clear. When installed with the Scosche trim ring, the unit is a perfect fit and looks as if it were ordered as original equipment from the factory costing over a grand. The motorized display screen can be tilted upward at any number of positions for optimal viewing in bright sun light which is perfect in a car, but it would be nice if it could also tilt slightly downward for pick-up truck installations which are generally located a little higher on the dashboard. It can still be viewed in bright light. The only other improvement would be if it had a screen-saver-to-black option when you're not switching radio stations or viewing DVD's. Otherwise couldn't be happier for the price.

Happy owner.. some small anoyances

This installed easily in my 06 Hyundai Tucson and I have been using it for about 2 weeks now.

First of all, it sounds great. A definite step up from the factory stereo. I got it primarily to play MP3s, HD Radio, and built in bluetooth.

The MP3 navigation is a little slow and you have to get used to the way the files are nested. I tried both the USB and the SD card with about the same results. I will have to go back and put the files together differently now that I know how the deck organizes them. Still they sound great.

I have also tried the deck with my ipod touch and iphone and it functions as advertised. It will also charge both using the supplied j-link cable.

The HD radio works fine and picks up all my favorite channels even in the garage with full bars. No complaints there.

The bluetooth is a little glitchy so far and my wife says there is a little bit of a echo. I have successfully paired it to a new iphone and a Motorola q without problems. It has dropped a couple of phone calls and I haven't been able to figure out why yet

I don't think that the menus and controls are all that intuitive and the space on the touchscreen could have definitely been used better. I also don't like that there is not a auto dimming function. It is too bright at night and too dark in the sunlight. I am constantly trying to adjust for the driving conditions.

For the price I paid, I am happy. I get compliments all the time from friends and family on the deck. The installation went without a hitch and as I get used to the quirks I am growing to like the deck even more.

Great,Great and Great

I was looking for a unit with all the features that suited me.This is definitely the one.If anything it has too many features.It sounds great even with out an amp(which I will add).It is easy to use and the touch screen is simple to operate.The videos are sharp and clear.A lighted remote would be nice but the one with the unit is nice but a little larger then I expected.I would not recommend this install to an amateur take it to a pro and let him do it.I am generally a Kenwood man but this unit is really nice.Lets see if it holds up.I bought the extra service plan just in case.One more thing the price here was right.

Fantastic Deal

Product has been exactly what I hoped it would be and more. Works without a problem. Plays just about everything you want. Works perfectly with Cell Phone via Bluetooth. I find myself not using the remote and instead utilizing the terminal screen. I would highly recommend. It is currently in my 2004 F150 and looks perfect.

JENSEN VM9022HD

I like this product a lot but there are a few glitches that I don't like. The communications between radio and Ipod are not all that great. Sometimes I have to reset the Ipod or I have to shut off the Jensen and then start it up again. Other Than that is has been a great product. I have it in a 4wd truck so it gets beat around a lot.

Good product for price.......small quirks

I have this installed in a 2004 Toyota Sienna w/original factory JBL wiring.
Pros:
Bluetooth included
Many A/V inputs and outputs
Screen looks great with movies. Has brake bypass too.
PIP and Aux 2 feature is good so you can have dual zones!
Alot of bang for buck
Cons:
1. Cannot see screen in full daylight! had to get a shield, now it works great!
2. It will place a pause in between songs on a mixed cd. Has to be ripped as one whole file.
3. Bluetooth now having issues with callers hearing me
4. HD radio doesn't sync well, maybe in NJ. I rarely use it anyway.
5. Long file names on folders/MP3s cause read errors.
6. Bluetooth will mute but will restore original volume after. Remember to turn down!

Overall its a great unit with lots of features for the money. if Jensen has a firmware update, that should fix most things. Would recommend this unit!

Versatile Unit with Certain Limitations

Overall I am very happy with this unit. It allows playback of a wide variety of music and video formats as well as receiving input from a variety of sources such as SD cards, flash drives, discs, HD radio, etc. I wish I could get a home system this compact with the amazing functionality it provides.

As to limitations, it does not allow you to browse directories to find the folder which you want to play from either disc, SD or whatever. You can only step through each folder, in order, to reach the one you want. Also, the unit can be finiky regarding how you shut it down and turn it back on. If you just shut your car off with the unit playing, it may not read the media which you were listening to when you shut it down. Also, often when you shut down this way on restarting the car the touch screen may or may not respond. In order to keep the unit functioning properly you must shut the unit off (waiting for the red 'standby' light to come on) before turning the car off. It is a lot like properly rebooting a pc.

Despite these quirks, i am generally very happy with it. Also, it has a great capacity for expandability

This has to be one of the hottest packages one could ever own.

Value, function, and appearance is great. This thing is packed w/ so many features. It sounds great in my Super Crew. I recommend this item to anybody
