Great Unit

I have owned Jensen units in the past and will say that they are definitely the best bang for the buck on the market.

I have had no issues with this unit so far (about a month of use). The navigation could use improvements to the map, but gets full signal where other GPS units I've used get less and so far has had good routes.

The only other complaints about the unit I have are that the AV input can take a bit to register sometimes and that you can't select artists/genres/etc. and play all with an iPod connected.

Other than those minor complaints, it's a great unit at an outstanding price and I would definitely recommend (as a matter of fact I have already.)

Worth the Money

I replaced my factory radio with the Jensen VM9414 and I'm happy I did. Just ordered the XM module so I can removed the actual unit from my truck and that way I have everything all in one unit. Navigation units takes a little getting use to, a little different then the portable ones. Overall I've very happy with the radio.

overall great product

I've had this head unit for about 6 months now and no problem whats so ever, minor glitches with the iPod control, but overall great. GPS takes a little to get used to, but pretty neat device. I like the 7" screen to play movies as well. Nice bright screen.

Not real happy

Ordered the 9414 because I thought it wood be real cool having a built in navagation system. The navigation system is not up to par. Apparently the navigation system needs an update that requires an SD card that I did not have. After buying a new SD card the update has not been possible to achieve. I've tried 3 times with people of considerable computer experience helping and still no luck. Jensen has been no help as they pass the buck on to Horizon, the software provider. Horizon will not respond to an email and the whole thing is a can of worms. What is the reason to go to the expense of ordering the head unit that has the built in navigation when it does not work and needed an update when sold to me? Jensen and horizon are flakes. Thats my take on it. The radio works fine but the navigition system will send you to timbucktoo. Really disappointed.

Worth every penny!

I was skeptical about buying this head unit at first because of all the features it has and how low the price was. But it definitely does not disappoint! The touch screen is spot on, the movie quality is amazing, and the gps works as it should. The quality of the product is very good, with a very functional designee and software layout. My brother has a jvc head unit that he paid more for from a local car audio shop and it has less than half the features! The only thing that could be a con is that it does take a little time to boot up, and there is no removable faceplate. GREAT BUY, WOULD DO IT AGAIN IN A HEART BEAT!

Jensen Headset

Overall excellent product for the buy. For those of you with single space head units, this was my preffered choice. Great that it has the compact features of navigation and the availability for an SD card slot which is an awesome feature to store music and not need to bring a phone or mp3 to use the AUX feature. Only issue was after eight months, the clock time has kept randomly changing but fixes itself after a few minutes. Navigation system isnt always correct, but it gets the job done. The power output for the speakers is really nice too.

Good radio for the price!

Just got my jensen dvd player in the mail today and just finished hooking it up. I wasn't expecting to have such a good functioning radio with as many features as it has for the price I paid for it. The installation was a breeze, even with the installation of the steering wheel audio control Interface. Definitely a plus having the radio being steering wheel remote ready, bluetooth ready, ipod ready and much more. The integrated GPS is AWESOME! It actually works pretty good for being a cheaper radio. The only complaints I have is at first using the radio takes some getting used too. It would be nice if there were more buttons on the radio itself. Also after I turn my car off, it takes about 10-15 seconds for the radio to shut off and the screen to close. These things are very very minor. The radio is downright awesome for the price!

Great GPS Unit

I bought this unit a couple of months ago and installed in my Chevy Tahoe. I can honestly say that this is one of the best GPS units I have ever owned. A couple of quick tips if interested in buying the unit 1) GPS maps do come a little out dated but you can go directly to their site and get the latest updates for free, all you need is an SD card and you'll be good to go. Site even gives easy instructions on how to update. 2) When getting it installed make sure that the GPS antenna is placed outside the vehicle for the best signal. Had an issue with it initially because of that because of the poor signal but once it was placed outside the unit worked like a champ. I love this unit and for the price you can't beat it

good product for the money

If your ride will not support a full screen unit, then this pop up screen unit is the next best thing. In my car the pop up screen covers my ac controls..the screen pops up every time you start up the car, but As it comes out, You can push a button and it stays in if you want it to. CD, DVD player works very well. The navigation system and the extra cell phone blue tooth gadget sounds good on your end. Everyone I have asked while talking to say that they can hear and understand me but they say it sounds like an echo. This system lists all the songs on screen of the CD you are playing, and also the iPod using the iPod accessory cable. Music fades out when you are getting instructions from the navigation system, or on the phone. This is good... I recommend that you have it professionally installed...Has many additional features that will keep you playing with it for hours.

Great unit for the price

Great unit for this price I've had other flip screens in the past this one is the best so far
with all the features like iPod and Bluetooth and the Nav works great too. And the other thing that is great about this unit is that it's all in the head unit no hideaway that you have to mount somewhere else and run cables I put it my F350 so not much room to hide things.

The only thing that I've found so far is if you put the face in the down/away location when you start the car back up the screen opens back up wish there was an option to have the screen to open or close at startup. Not a big deal, I've had Pioneer and Kenwood and believe it or not I would go with this unit all day long and at half to 1/3 the price no brainer.

VM9414

After extensive research this is the best one I could find. Installation was semi-doable as long as you have someone who knows a little about what they're doing. Touch screen works great along with all the settings. Navigation is right on point. Dims your music for incoming Bluetooth calls. Works great, then brings music back. Overall great product. Had trouble with radio reception, but I think I may have the wrong antenna adapter.

GREAT PRODUCT

I wanted a built in GPS for my Corvette so after reading the information on the various combo radios, I decided that this unit would best suite my needs. All the necessary parts were included and the installation was straight forward. I took the time to make sure that it would work with my Bose speaker system. It has a lot of features that I don't use, however I am sure that if necessary they would also work flawlessly. There were a couple of wiring options available so I called and they were explained very well by the staff at Sonic. Overall a great product for my needs.

Exceptional product

I ordered this product from Sonic hoping it would live up to the reviews I had read. I It did and then exceeded some. The unit is very user friendly and has more inputs then I I have components for.. I also ordered the rear view camera which has an excellent picture, the only draw back that I can find is that there is no audio output when the camera automatically comes on in reverse, I know it is for safty reasons and may be able to be changed in the set-up menu although I have not found that function

Full of Bugs

Unit had so many problems I sent it back for repair. Received unit back after a month and about half of the problems were resolved. Unit still stalls when playing USB or SD media, Compass works half the time. Believe it or not the day/night auto screen changes at 12am and 12pm. So at night the day screen is so bright it lights up the whole interior. Nav voice will refer to the road differently than the screen display, e.g, voice may refer to US40 and screen displays I70. Both are correct but it can get confusing so you better know the AKAs (Also know As). Maps are not very current. Will be sendng the unit back again. Jensen will not exchange unit for another, they are real HardHeads. Many other problems but don't feel like writing any more.
