Great Value

The Jensen VM9725BT is an excellent system for the money spent.

Great unit and works well

Easy install. I installed it in my motor home that had been preped for the DIN 2 mount. Wiring was simple. I installed the GPS ant under the fiberglass nose cap and it works real good. Had to call Jensen to get the manual for the GPS, as it was not in box, which they sent me a copy. Once I got the manual (Hard Copy) the GPS was easier to use.
Radio is good and XM is excellent. Nice setup and I would recommend.

Best value for the money.

This unit has features usually only available on much more expensive products. With the economical installation kit custom matched to my vehicle, installation was done simply and quickly in about 20 minutes. When my Navigator stopped working, the toll free expert advice was quick and my problem was resolved in minutes when I followed the verbal instructions on resetting the GPS module. Couldn't be more pleased with the price and service.

This unit is amazing!

I have a friend who has a Kenwood unit that is comparable with this unit. And the only difference we see is the cost and name! The VM9725BT is very inexpensive, easy to install and comes with everything you need! I love Jensen now!!!

Caution if your in Canada!

I would caution anyone outside the USA, the GPS (iGO) comes only with the USA loaded, and you must pay an update fee to get Canada. The unit is great in all other aspects, installation was dead simple, options are great, and for the price, it can not be matched. However, you must add the $80.00 to include Canada in the GPS as part of the cost. Even with that, it still is competitive.

Good radio, bad navigation

I really liked the radio, especially the blue tooth interface. I did have several problems with the navigation software resulting in my returning the unit. 1st problem was access, it just wouldn't open. Than one day it started working again for a couple weeks than it started displaying ''out of memory'' and wouldn't do anything. After several more weeks of trouble shooting I had to send the whole thing back.

Great Stereo for the Price

To start off with, I bought this stereo to replace another Jensen in-dash nav unit, the VM9424. That unit was very reliable (had for over 2 years with no problems) but the need arose for bluetooth, and although that unit supported it, it required an adapter that has become difficult to find. In addition, while a solid unit, the navigation interface left much to be desired and was not very intuitive. So I researched and bought the VM9725BT, and I could not be happier. The new interface for the radio is much nicer than the VM9424, with some animated backgrounds, and the ability to add your own wallpaper (the manual does not tell you HOW to do this though; the files must be loaded onto the miniSD that holds the nav maps). There are multiple on-screen color schemes available, and you can even change the color of the buttons on the panel. CD playback was fine, and audio quality is good. Have not tried the DVD player yet, but that isn't really a function I plan on using. Bluetooth sound quality using the internal mic on the unit is a bit soft, but there is also an external mic available for use that may be a bit louder. Connection to the bluetooth is reliable and has worked every time with my wife's T-mobile G2. The navigation system has changed from the VM9424, and is much nicer to look at and more intuitive. There is even an option to change the default "arrow" that represents your car to a bunch of other car types. Lots of attention to detail was paid on this device, and it makes for a great unit. No other DVD/GPS/BT stereo is even close in price, and Im glad I didn't spend more to get one of those, I can't imagine them being any better.

The only CONS I can think of is the buttons on the panel have a small LED on them for night ID'ing, but you can't read what they are unless you turn on a dome light. Once you get used to their position it shouldn't be a problem though. Also I've loaded songs onto an SD card and while they play, no album art is displayed. there is a spot for it on the screen, but its blank. Hopefully this is something I'm just doing wrong and not a feature that isn't supported. Information on this unit is VERY sparse on the 'net.....outside of the manufacturer, I can't find anyone talking about it or offering any advice.

Overall, I would buy this unit again. Great value for the money, and easily the best stereo I've owned. My daily driver is a 2012 Cadillac SRX, and I like this stereo (installed in a 2008 Jeep Patriot) better than my Cadillacs.

jensen touch screen navigation unit

Great radio for the price! I have had this unit for one year now and it has been great. It has built in ipod sync, blue tooth, aux port, back up cam with sound, usb hook up,dvd player with rca out to a tv,multiple amp hook ups . The gps is really nice we traveled from Florida to New York and all through the smokey mountains ,worked better than our tom tom, has a feature that when in traffic jam will automaticaly sense and suggest alternate route. Cons are it takes a while to load, ipod sync is very basic always have trouble switching between radio and ipod (have to unplug ipod then plug back in to recognize), and occasionaly it will lose stored gps memory. Over all happy with purchase
