Very nice unit!
I own a 2002 Hyundai Sonata with the double din head unit. I didn't want a "pocket" in the middle of my dash, so I opted to replace the factory unit with an aftermarket double din. After looking at several (Pioneer, JVC, Panasonic & Clarion) I made my mind up on the Kenwood unit.
Installation...the hook-up was a breeze. Mounting was another issue (which I already knew was going to be). What I had to shave the lip off the left and right side of the head unit to give me the clearance needed to fit in the opening. After that...I attached the brackets from the factory unit onto the Kenwood to mount it. Using the factory holes, the face of the Kenwood sits out maybe 1/4". So...I'm going to have to drill a couple holes in the bracket to bring the face flush.
Other than that...the performance of the unit is wonderful. The sound is clear and there are so many options to shaping the sound...it's sure to please anyone (since we all listen to music differently). The controls are pretty easy to learn and the functions make sense.
My only issue with this head unit is when you are listening to CD's or tapes, the power antenna still stays up.
