Secret Compartment
I have not yet had this unit installed, but, I would not have bought it if I thought i wouldn't like it. The best (IMHO) reason i bought this unit was for the iPod/iPhone secret compartment, accessible by a push button on front of unit. It also comes with a pouch to protect your device while in motion, although this is a marine grade stereo, I bought it for my suburban as my dogs love to slobber on my cars interior, its a little more protected for the environment than your standard head units…i.e., spills, weather, elements...

I have it installed at the helm under an enclosed hardtop ... The plastic material is crumbling and the unit is falling apart. This is the second season on the boat. The entire boat was shrink wrapped over the winter. An E-Mail to Kenwood had no response.

The wired remote is a fantastic feature to add to any boat. The feedback is somewhat slow but as long as you’re not getting impatient it does everything you need it to do. Very good price and fast shipping. I will be buying again for more boat needs!!
