Great Deck, Good Price

Plays from most devices. Works good, anyone can plug in to play what they want to here.

The con, for me is to many function on one nob. Give us two nobs to split the duties, my older deck has them

The Kenwood name pretty much says it all.

I've lost count of how many Kenwood head units I have owned over the years (not to mention all the Kenwood amps, speakers and EQ's), and this one lives up to the reason I purchase Kenwood over and over. It's an awesome deck with killer features for an unbeatable price! I love how many colors you can select from for the lights! The remote is awesome too, but could use a little re-designing. I would love to have a remote with backlit buttons, where you could press a button in a corner or on the side and it would light up the other buttons. The hardest thing to find in the dark are the FM/AM selection buttons. Actually, pretty much any button below the up/down and forward/back are almost impossible to find in the dark. This baby has all the right features I'm looking for, looks nice in my car! I have to admit it takes some time to figure out how to go through your folders on your music USB flash drive when you plug it in. It always starts on the first song on the flash drive (by A-Z), unless you were previously listening to a certain folder, then it resumes at that song when you plug the flash drive back in. But it took a LOT of cussing and fumbling and looking through the manual to FINALLY master how to go through folders! In my case, I sort my folders by genres. But now that I mastered it, the process is simple! All-in-all, I love this deck! Th only thing that drives me up a wall about this deck is that there is a little vertical bar that continues to go up and down non-stop on the right of the display when you're listening to any source. It's annoying as heck! But no way to stop it or disable it. I'm guessing it's there to show you it's playing something. Still getting used to some of the many features, and some functions take a little work finding, but I assure you that if you buy this one, you WILL be happy!

Great deck

I bought this deck when my stock one pretty much died. Install was actually pretty easy. I love being able to plug in whatever device I have and listen to music on it. love the variable color display that's actually one of the reasons I got it, I think it has 24 colors it cycles through. I got this about 10 months ago and its still going very strong. If your looking for a replacement or upgrade deck for about 100 bucks this is probably the best you'll find. The only con I had was figuring out all the controls but after a week or so I had the controls down. you wont be disappointed if you buy this.

Great Receiver!

This unit sounds good and was easy to install. Naturally playing music through aux or usb seems to sound better than on the radio, although it seems to pick up a lot of channels! Navigating the menus are simple. After about 2 minutes you don't need to think about how to change the settings. It's that simple. The remote seems nicer than on a lot of the other radio remotes I've seen. I would recommend this unit to anyone for sound and quality. Sonic Electronix has great customer service! I would recommend both!

Hooked up without issues and sounds great!! I had everything I needed and installed it in less than an hour. Sonic Electronix is a great company and I would purchase from them again.

Sweet Head Unit

I love this Head Unit! Its has everything i wanted. The LED color changing feature can be set to one specific color or have it cycle through all colors. The USB connector is very useful for playing your own personal media as well as the audio jack below. The only downside to this is that it is not compatible with my Android, so i am forced to use my iPod touch to play my music through my radio in my car. :/ but other than that this system has performed flawlessly and i would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable upgrade to an existing radio with these additional features that this head unit provides.

I bought this headunit because i needed one with 3 RCA pre-outs for wiring multiple amps. It does what it's supposed to do and more. Very nice equalizers much easier to control than other headunits. i like the options of subwoofer on or off, it can change the hz of sub and speakers so you dont really need speakers with external crossovers. Great usb action and aux. very simple and easy to use. I recommend this headunit. for the price it is worth it. I still have it in my car and it works 100%. There arent any cons on it so far. With Sonic's free shipping it got to my house within 3 days!

This headunit is great. I had a kenwood kvt-514 touchscreen before this and even though they are rated with the same power, this unit seems to sound a bit better. The remote is great but only con i have is when its sunny, its very hard to see the screen. has been doing better than my jvc and alpine unit also!

This unit sounds really good. Easy controls. It will make you think your @ a concert. I have it pushing 4-6x9's & 2-12's. Nothing sounds better.

AWESOME

I bought this unit for my 1995 Buick Park Ave. It looks great, sounds great hooked up to my mtx terminator series speaker. Really clear sound, and I can put some really scratched cds in and it won't skip. I'm really pleased with this and the speakers. I would buy another if mine ever got stolen.

This head unit is great. Its easy to use, and looks great. I have pioneer speakers in my grand am gt and i recently switched out my older kenwood radio with this one and i gotta say, it was worth it. It puts a lot of power n my speakers that the other one couldn't.

bought this little number on base aat the auto hobby shop and i asolutely love it. hits nice and hard and took my door speakers to a whole new level. def worth a try

Very nice HU

My brother has one a grade down, so i decided to 1UP him and get this. It is just packed with features and the menu is very simple and responsive. The volume knob doesn't feel like it will fall off, even after i did just that fighting with my dashboard. Luckily, it snaps right back on with no problems. Heatsink seems a little small and it shorted on me once, but that was my fault so thank god for circuitry protection. Variable lighting is very cool and bright but not as distracting as you would think at night.

Maybe it was a fluke?

I had this headunit installed in February of 2012. It sounded great, and I loved it. It did fantastic, and I had no problems. Suddenly, sometime in August of 2012, the screen completely went out, but it still played music. Soon, it wouldn't recognize my phone, and it stopped picking up radio stations. I had it sent in and repaired. After I got it back, it has been messing up ever since. It will glitch and the screen will go blank, pressing certain buttons will cause it to restart, it is quite frustrating. It may have just been a fluke, but I don't think I will be buying another Kenwood.

First off, I want to say Kenwood has made a lot of improvements over the years. I was on a budget and wanted a quality head unit, with ease of use, color schemes, and great sound. I got all this with this unit. I'd recommend this to family, friends, and strangers. Thanks Sonic!

well worth it

Good brand, good quality, all around good deck. Never had one problem with it. The 3 RCA outputs are really useful, the remote comes is handy at all times and it has a nice design to it. Buy it
