Kenwood deck

I really like this deck, the only problem is to get to the settings you really have to read the manual; because a lot of the categories you use to control the bass and treble for example are controlled by only two buttons but you have to push four buttons to get to then. Other than that it is a fantastic deck

Great Price Great Product

this is a great inexpensive kenwood cd player,mp3 player. For the price you cant go wrong. Sonic Electronix is one of the best if not the best place to get your electronic items for less.

Awesome Stereo

Let me first say that I have only ever had 1 other after market CD player in a car, so my review needs to be taken with a grain of salt. That said, I love this deck. Its tough to find a deck for less than $80 that plays a cd with burned mp3's on it. This deck also lets you customize highs, mids and lows, something else I liked. I liked it so much I bought a 2nd for my wifes car. I have only had them a few months but so far, no problems with either deck.

Nice deck

I bought this stereo to replace my factory stereo & as for as sound quality goes, this stereo is great. I bought it from Best Buy for $100. It does not have a sub control but has all the other features. I use my iPod mainly through the aux cable. Overall good stereo especially for replacing the stock.

Good for mp3

The following review is for a previous version (KDC-MP208).

I bought this stereo because of the price. It works fine not a bad stereo at all. Good overall except for the volume knob is very sensitive. If you are trying to turn up/down the volume sometimes it goes into your EQ; reason being that when you press the volume down it goes to EQ mode. But when your driving its hard so its best to just use the wireless remote. Otherwise its a good stereo and I would recommend it to anybody because its GREAT for the price.

Its ok

The following review is for a previous version (KDC-MP142).

Its most likely 50 watts max and 25 watts rms..the sound qualitys crisp but not near good .if you have 3 way speakers this head unit wont have enough juice. I say its 80 dollars for a reason.. sound processor isn't that great vs an alpine. its the best looking cheap radio around but if you want deep bass even out of speakers your not gonna get it from this .

Best Service From Sonic!

The following review is for a previous version (KDC-MP142).

I got mine delivered right on time. I was going to get it from a chain store (PC R******) & i had to pay extra for the harnesses. I came here to Sonic, got my ScoscheTA2154B & Ta02B for free, and free ground shipping for $80! I haven't installed it yet, but everything was fine, product came in perfect condition. I will Re-review it once i get it up and running. Sonic Electronix is the best, don't second doubt them.
Hey you can't go wrong with $80 bucks!

Great sound, odd controls

The following review is for a previous version (KDC-MP208).

I was looking for a simple, minimalist deck, and this one suits quite well. The sound quality is really phenomenal!

The controls are a bit odd to get used to. It is easy to accidentally bump the volume knob when trying to adjust volume, and end up adjusting EQ presets. Adjusting some details of the deck's settings (and there are lots to play with) requires pressing a couple different buttons to get at different menus. I find it frustrating and non-intuitive. The lighting is just a touch too bright compared to the rest of my dash, and while the dimness is adjustable, it's not quite enough and only dims the screen - not the rest of the lights.

When fiddling with settings (such as preset EQ), the display does not automatically exit until an "other" button is pressed - one more added step.

On the other hand, it is a very feature-packed yet minimalist-appearing deck.

Kenwood is the best

The following review is for a previous version (KDC-MP142).

My cousin installed a stereo like this one in his 1500 chevy and it works and sounds awesome. The sound is so crisp... I truly recommend this stereo, it's affordable. the usb direct control is an absolutely great feature... so for everyone who doesn't like carrying all those cd's... the usb fixes the problem.

Nice Little Receiver

The following review is for a previous version (KDC-MP208).

I like this Kenwood a lot. I put in my girlfriend's 2003 Matrix, and it is a good complement for the red illuminated gauges. Sound quality is excellent, adjustments are pretty straight forward, but plentiful, and the price was great. The only thing that has bugged me about it is that the display tends to wash out in really bright sunlight. For that trade off and the price, it is worth it - great features and a perfect match for the car it was going in.

Great Reciever

The following review is for a previous version (KDC-MP208).

This is the best reciever I have ever owned. It exceeds expectations in all aspects. It is extremely user friendly and it was a breeze to install. All you have to to do is wire the stereo wires to the proper plug in adapter for your car, which was automatically sent to me from sonic electronix. Just make sure you type in your vehicle in the tab. I ordered the dash adapter for my car with the reciever and it fits perfectly. It is one of the easiest things I have installed in my car. A CD hasn't skipped once, the sound quality is great, and it is simple to operate. It is simple yet it looks cool. I really like the auxilary outlet, because I can hook up my i-pod up to it. It plays mp3 format and also has wma playback. I also get better reception and more channels with the radio than I did with my old stereo. ALL IN ALL this is an excellent product and I would recommend it for everyone. The price for this product is very reasonable and I found that it was the cheapest from Sonic Electronix after all the shipping charges. If I were to by another reciever I would by this one again hands down.

Love my new Car Deck!!

The following review is for a previous version (KDC-MP205).

It's stylish and functional. The sound quality is great. The bass, mids, and treble all sound clear. The front aux input feature is great, plugging in my mp3 player and the sound quality through the aux input is clear. I highly recommend this deck!

Awesome for the $$$

This is a nice looking, option loaded, upgrade from O.E.M. type of head unit. Like others have said, the audio adjustments (which are many, BTW) require a read of the manual but that's a small price to pay for such a nice stereo at an even nicer price. So far the CD player seems to be pretty darn skip-resistant. I would recommend this unit in a heartbeat!!

Simple yet reliable

The following review is for a previous version (KDC-MP142).

This head unit is a great unit for those looking for something a little more affordable but want to stick to a reliable name brand. Aux input on the front makes playing music from your MP3 player easy and the cost makes it very attractive.

Decent CD player

The following review is for a previous version (KDC-MP208).

Overall you cant beat it for the price. The design is good. It said it had a crossover but it does not. Some of the features are hard to find.

Great Stereo

The following review is for a previous version (KDC-MP205).

This stereo works great for me. The front aux input is great if you have an ipod because you just use the white 2-ended cord supplied with it to run it instead of paying $50 for an Ipod control. The subwoofer turn on mode is very easy to do once you read the instructions. What is also useful is the detachable faceplate so that it doesnt get stolen.
