Bought this about a few months ago

I have had no problems with this cd player. The usb flash drives are way better than cd's because they don't skip when theirs massive bass and it sounds so much better. This is an awesome cd player

Here's a unit with some inner beauty

The MP338 is a fine unit for anybody looking for a basic stereo with great audio quality. This unit looks very similar to the KDC-MP438U, which is to say it's EXACTLY the same, but lacks a USB port. The USB port-shaped space right next to the AUX port, which is hidden behind a silly flip up door, just makes it painfully obvious you're using a stripped down unit.

The display is BRIGHT, and that might be a problem because the MP338 only features a manual dimmer. The controls are plentiful, but simple enough to get a hang of. The sheer number of options can be daunting, but not necessarily overly complicated. You can even regulate the audio levels across the sources.

Kenwood forgot to include their famous Attenuator button on the faceplate, but instead places it on the included remote. But who needs a remote control for a device that's 2 feet away from you?

The included amplifier is efficient and clean-sounding. The front panel aux input, especially with the little flip-up door is clumsy.

The MP338 is fine unit and is tough to pass up for the price.
