Good value

I have had this radio for about 6months and up until recently i have no problems.In the last 3 weeks radio turns off and on at random.Who knows what kind of issue this is.Overall it seems to be a good radio for the money,"remember you get what you pay for".

A+ accross the board!

Great product at a very reasonable price. Great look and power. VERY easy to control. USB connection is a very big plus. I would recommend this product to anyone hesitating on buying it!

Great for a while

I've had this unit for about 6 months now and it's been great up until about a week ago when the unit's USB connection went out (flashes "Mecha Error" which from what I've found is some sort of internal hardware error that will require the unit being sent in in order to fix). Considering this is the main reason I bought the unit I'm a bit disappointed since I can no longer listen to my iPod, but the CD player still works.

When the USB connector was working, it was convenient that you can control your USB device through the unit, but if you're like me and have several thousand different artists on your mp3 player, then you're going to be sitting there for a while spinning the little knobs trying to get to the "S's" Some quicker browsing function would have been fantastic.

It's ok

Me and my cousin both purchased this stereo and it was great at first. We mainly use the iPod connector and rarely use the cd player. We noticed that after a while the stereo stops playing. At first I thought it was the connection but when I called my cousin he said it happens to him also. Besides that it's actually a great stereo. Full sound control.

Won't buy again

I DO NOT recommend this product. A few weeks into buying the cd player, I noticed when I pushed the buttons in the morning, it would go off, then come back on...then I would try to push the buttons again, and it would go off but it would stay on and I could navigate through the radio channels. At first, I thought it was the wiring job so I had a second opinion and it was fine. Turns out it was the radio. Silly me, being the seller rating was positive, didn't get any insurance on the cd player, thinking it would be perfectly fine. NOPE! Now the screen has little places where no color shows through. Its basically the faceplate. Everything else is fine.

Great deck for the money...

Great shipping time, easy install, did it myself. The deck looks awesome and I can control all the music from my I-Pod over witht eh controls on the deck.

Great stereo for the money

This stereo has alot of positives. I have always been pleased with Kenwood products and this one did not let me down. Once you figure out the controls, it is very easy to work.
Pros- Screen is very easy to read and see. Options on screen displays are pretty cool. Lights up really good at night, looks real cool in the car. Again, once you have the controls figured, it is very easy to operate.
Cons- Ipod controls are not as easy as I would have liked. You cannot look for a song on the Ipod unless the "random" feature is turned OFF. If you have a lot of songs on your Ipod and you want to play something in the "W"'s, it takes a minute to get to it. Mine has glitched a few times on me. Meaning I have hit the search button and the face will act as if it as has turned off and is powering back up. But the music does not stop playing. It once froze on me and would not play Ipod or CD's. Dont know why but has not done it again.
Overall, I am very pleased to have bought this stereo. And will continue to buy Kenwood products as I stated before, they have never let me down. I bought this one to replace my last Kenwood that lasted me for years.

Good deal on a great head unit

Ordered head unit arrived quickly. Installed it myself sounds great nice display, but gets a little washed out in direct sun light. Really clean sound from usb input.

The cd player was great; installed with no problems the harness and dash kit installed perfectly, and looks fantastic - better than factory or any other player I have ever bought. Great Starter Deck

I purchased this deck for my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 and it is a great addition. The clarity is alright, and it puts out a good amount of power. I love the capability to control my MTX sub woofer level from the deck. The 3 RCAs is great for expandability in the future. The screen is kind of hard to see in direct sunlight, but that is to be expected. The iPod controls are pretty good, but the right hand button is very touchy, and hard to control if you have to reach to get to the deck. Overall I would say its a great beginner deck.

Great Cd Player

This is a wonderful item. It has everything you need, like a usb cord so you can plug in your mp3 player and charge it at the same time. Great graphics you can download your own too. Nice size remote so you won't loose it. 3 amp outputs for highs mids and lows I would highly recommend it. Great price

Good overall headunit.

This is a great head unit for the money. I'll keep it simple with some pro's and con's.........

Pro's
Work's with an Ipod great, you don't have to use the Ipod to change you're music.

Very customizable setup for you to make the screen just the way you want it.

You can change the color of the text to your desire.

Con's

Hard to navigate through your music if the artist or title is at the end of the alphabet.

Ipod cord can be hard to figure out what to do with in certain vehicles.

Other than that, I would recommend this CD player to anyone.

I have had this product for 6+ months now and am fully satisfied with this make and model. This kenwood has been used EVERY day with absolutely NO faults. Features Not Specified

well i would have to say this would have been the ultimate deck if they had specified everything about the deck..i love how it sais its ready for everthing when u need an adapter to get it working...but other than that i give it a 3 since i bought this deck to play mp3 and ipod files and for good subwoofer uses well. the sub is fine how about they do some real work and explain whats really what in the file and reading capabilities

I am always a little skeptical when buying a car stereo online, but as long as sonic is in business Ill never have to worry. Thanks for the great product and a great deal never hurts either! BTW this thing is sweet its got more bells and whistles than my car and easy to use.

Best Buy!

Great deck with too many features. This deck is amazing but does come with a learning curve. So many features and functions -the remote control is necessary as driving and toggling could be difficult at best.

If you are looking for a high power deck without amplifiers look no further. If you want great sound -even from digital music/mp3 look no more. This thing rocks! Just be sure to give yourself a lot of time learning how to properly use this puppy and you wont be disappointed.

i have owned all car stereo's and have installed plenty as well but this is one of the best bang for the buck. would well recommend this car stereo to anyone who is looking for great sound quality and features, as well as looks, this thing has many optional display's, as well as graphix. don't want graphix then choose the clock as a background. and the USB is super fast.

Works Great

This is a great deck with a nice screen and it works great with a usb memory stick. It does stick out quiet a bit. But overall great product for the price. The screen looks great.

Amazing 3d graphics

This kenwood unit has great sound quality and a very nice interface.

Pros:The colorful graphics grab alot of attention,search feature is very nice,tone settings are cool.

Cons:two things that i did not like about the unit is that it does not have a motorized face and the irritating sound it makes when you load a disc,other than that it's pretty decent

Great Unit

Since I have purchased and installed this unit, I have no need for CDs anymore. I really like the USB and I have immensely utilized it. There are so many features, I am still learning how to use it. Make sure you hold on to your instruction booklet b/c you will need it from time to time.

I am very happy with this player! It looks great, and I like the fact that you also send the needed harness and adapter for my specific vehicle! This player has 3 outputs (front, rear, and sub), and makes installing a breeze! The sound is great, and I also hooked up my ipod via one of the rear inputs, and it displays the song title, album, and artist! This is a great buy, and you will be happy with this purchase!
