I love them. Their great.

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6983PS).

I put a pair of these 6X9 in my Lexus IS300 rear deck and man they sound good. Nice clean highs and they handle all the power I throw at them. I have them powered by a Pioneer 50watt X 4 amplifier and the audio is supplied by a touch screen DVD player. I am really happy with these speakers and would recomend them for average wattage and listening levels. I don't know how they would perform with a more powerful amp, but they work great with my amp.

Loud

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6980ie).

I have these hooked to a two channel LA amp and they get loud. Enough bass to rattle the metal in the mount area, and loud enough highs to make your ears ring :)

I bought for my Ford F250 and guess what they didn't fit but maybe i will install them in a box and wedge them in somewhere. Creativity is a must in sound systems. I wish Mr.Spock was an installer.

A good christmas girft

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6982ie).

The radio is great when it comes to looks, value, durability and features. The only thing I dislike about it is that its not easy to use, the guide doesn't explain things well and you have to play with it to figure it out.

Good Replacement Speakers

I bought these speakers for my 2005 camry. The 6x9 speakers worked but the grills do not match up. They are oval and toyota had rectangle fit. I when I was told the speakers fit my car I assumed they meant the grills also. Now I have to get replacement grills for the car.

Pleasantly surprised

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6983PS).

I purchased these only for the price because Sonic Electronix was asking $79 for older model Pioneer 6x9's and I needed (4 sets). I was more worried when they arrived and I saw the mid was made of paper but they surpassed my expectations when I installed them on my JL 600/4 HD.

worth it

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6983PS).

Just installed these into my 06 Eclipse. Great sound, nothing to be disappointed about there. Most of the materials felt sturdy and worthwhile. They're wired to a stock head unit right now, and even then they were a noticeable difference from the old speakers.

Great sound at a great price

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6983PS).

Installed these speakers in the rear deck of an 2001 Camry. Had to make new mounting plates to hold them under the rear deck plate but over all they fit great and sound very good. I have them hooked to an amplifier and They are holding up just fine.

Great Value

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6982ie).

These speakers are fantastic, and what makes them better is the price.
The mids and highs will pretty much scream at you, and i can hear notes in some songs i never even knew were there.
unfortunately they did not fit in my xterra cause the depth was too deep by maybe 3/16 of an inch, so i bought a pair of enclosures for them and probably did myself a favor cause the lows are hitting harder than they would be sitting in the panels.
Anyways, if you want bang for your buck, grab a pair!

Great

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6982ie).

I would recommend these any day! I have had them just about two years and they are amazing!! I did end up blowing them with my amp and aftermarket deck but that's because I overloaded them on purpose with my subs. Most people seem to be writing that they don't provide low basses but that is wrong. They provide bass of all pitches but if you want to hold a bass pitch then you need a sub not 6x9s.

Car stereo speakers sound great

The speakers easily installed and perfectly fit in the rear deck, without any modifications, in my early model Oldsmobile. I put them in myself in less than an hour. The speakers are hooked up to a basic pioneer car stereo. The sound is deep and full. My wife and I enjoy listening to this system.

Loud and Clean

Have these in a Magnum powered by an Alpine MRV-F405, paired with (4) RE SEX 12s powered by a Cresendo bc3500.

Despite 145+ dbs of bass, these 6x9s keep up well. I demo'd these as well as many other brands at my local audio store. For the price, I highly recommend these for a great balance between efficient screaming highs and articulate sq. The low end is significantly tighter than my stock speakers, which more punch, less low-end resonating; but my woofers take care of that anyways.

Came with *alright* 20 awg wire, flexible/tear-able gasketing material, as well as hardware.

Yupp!!!

Ok whoever know's about Kenwood should know that all of their KFC models and their Excelon Models are nice speaker's that you can actually push some power to if you like your high'z screaming. If you are on a low baller status, you will be fine getting them.

Amazing Speakers...

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6983PS).

For the price, you cannot beat the sound coming from these speakers...even off of just an aftermarket HU with no external amp. Clean and crisp, just what the doctor ordered and all on a very tight budget!

Best Value

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6982ie).

For the price, these 6x9s cannot be beat. When powered by by a car's stock amplifier or a headunit, they sound pretty good. High efficiency rating ensures that. Once they are hooked up to to a multi channel amplifer, they sound excellent, and better than anything you will find for the price. Every sound frequency except the very lows sound great. Like I said, I'm sure there are better sounding speakers, but only if you spend twice as much. You wont regret buying these.

Kenwood KFC 6982ie

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6982ie).

I bought 2 sets of these speakers for my 2004 Chrysler Sebring. I was able to listen to these at a local retailer. The speakers are Outstanding for 6x9's Base is incredible and the mid and lows are just as good. I do not have an amp on these. I did have to make my own modification to the front doors of my car but very well worth it. Excellent Product and Price Thanks Sonic would definitely order from again.

Great sound ! Great deal !

These 6×9 s have fantastic highs ! I had them crossed over on the high pass of a Rockford 150.2 so I can't really speak for the low end . I installed these in a Toyota echo and they rocked this little car . I would highly recommend these 6x9s . High rms so you can put the juice to them ! I will use these again in the future .

Great SQ!

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6982ie).

I owned an older model of these, sounded amazing, if these are anything like my old models, than they're definitely worth the buy. As for me I just replaced the older models with Kicker KS690s, but this is due to the fact that Kicker has a perfect balance of SQ and Bass. These are better if you are looking for pure sound quality though. Definitely competition-grade in my opinion; although, the price-tag isn't very appealing...lol.

I installed these speakers about 6 months ago and have not been disappointed. The sound quality is great, especially for the price. The speakers themselves are hefty to say the least, and do a great job of filling my Galant from the rear. The bass is decent, but they do not replace a sub

The difference is ASTONISHING!!!

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6982ie).

The car: 2007 Nizzan XTERRA
Just replace the front 6x9's with these. Right now just powering them off the bone stock headunit and already I'm blown away! My plan is to put a sub in my wife's XTERRA... but I knew it would need increased mids and highs so it won't drown in the bass. For that reason I decided on these "Image-Enhacers" since their 5-ways and the Fequency Response listed seemed pretty good, and also since I wanted around the neighborhood of 100 RMS for when I eventually get the amp installed.

Heck... even right now without the amp installed and the Fader set to full front speakers... I can tell you she'd already be ecstatic at the ginormous improvement. And... it just so happened I played a track that showed-off the stereo separation and I was very impressed!

Oh man... can't WAIT to get these hooked up to an amp!

Excellent Deal

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6982ie).

I have recently replaced my factory stereo with a Kenwood KDC MP342U and bought two pairs of the Kenwood 6982ie after hearing them in a store. The Bass on these are Awesome, lows and highs are clear. Impressive for 6x9 speaker with no amp or sub. They will however distort if I turn up the volume all the way, but volume level 30 is definitely loud enough. I have a 04 Chrysler Sebring convertible so I may have to return a pair, they won’t fit my front door panel, but im trying to come up with a solution to make them work. Definitely don’t want to give these up. Excellent Deal thanks Sonic A+++

Great Value!

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6982ie).

I bought these speakers along with the JVC KD-AR8500 receiver and I have to say that I am impressed with they're performance. If you like your highs high, these are for you. I am suprised with the amount of bass they produce for being 6x9's. At moderatly high volume they deliver tight mids and lows but will distort if the volume is too high. All in all you probably wont find a better speaker for the price. I looked at these speakers at another store and they were nearly double the price that I paid for them on Sonic. I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a new set of 6x9's

Kenwood is the best!!

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6982ie).

I bought these speakers a year ago and hooked them up to my sony head unit. They sounded really clear. I wanted them louder so I bought a dual amplifier. The amp was 300 watts and it gave the kenwood 6*9's 50 watts rms. They bump soo loud you can hear them 500 feet away from the car with the windows up!! I only have 2 of these speakers in the rear of my car because in the front I can only fit 6*8 speakers. I drive a mustang, and I never heard any other mustang bump as loud as mine!!! Definitely would recomend to everyone!!!

i put these in a 94 buick century and they sound perfect. actually the pic of these is wrong but close enough. and for all of you that keep complaining on how they have bad lows, SHUT UP AND GET A SUB, if you want bass and only bass your not gonna find it in a 6x9, which i cant stand hearing a car with only bass. so if you want some good 6x9's then get these you wont be dissapointed. they respond up to 30,000hz which the most a human can hear is 20,000hz. GET EM!!!!!!

Now there hooked to the Amp and WHOA!!!

The following review is for a previous version (KFC-6982ie).

Wow... now that these are hooked up to (the Channel 1/2 of) the amp (SSL F4.1200) these things are A-MAZ-ING!!! These things seriously go almost as low as the subwoofer! Un-freakin-believable!!!

Now that they are being amp'd... they make my wife's side-mirrors "flap their wings" in a serious way!!! (YES!!!)

If you had a small car like, let's say, a Honda Civic... and you had these amp'd and in the Rear Deck.... you really wouldn't need to have a subwoofer.

In all seriousness... I wish I could somehow fit these 6 x 9's into the doors of my Ford SportTrac... but unfortunately Ford's are 6 x 8's :*(
