Kenwood KFC-6993PS

I was told I needed a sub box for the rear of my truck. But I did not want to take up any more room in the rear. I run an aftermarket power head with a 1000 watt 5 channel amplifier. I did not want to take a chance of blowing a pair of 6x9 speakers so I got these as temps. After hearing these, and cranking up the volume, I couldn't be happier. These speakers are awesome.

I havd 4 on my back dash in a crown vic on a 800watts 4 channel amplifier and it is real clear and loud. I'm goin to order 4 more for my other car.

I would totally recommend these speakers I bought them last Thursday and to my surprise I got them in on Friday at no extra charge great speakers now I'm looking into getting some Kenwood 5 by 7 s for my doors and 2 Kenwood 12 inch subs for the trunk as well as a new head unit the stock one works good but time for greatness..great product and great ordering and customer service....all around I give 10 out of 10..

good upgrade

purchased speakers to replace the factory rear speakers on the rear deck of my 1999 Honda Accord. Speakers fit right in, mounted right up, wired up, no problems, done in 20 minutes sound great. Got bass and Hits on the highs clear and loud.

Good stuff for a good price

They can take a good beating. Powering them with a 300 watt amp that used to power two 12's. Very much over powering them. But its whatever. Before I had the amp hooked up to them they were being powered by my deck only and they worked perfect stock. So you don't NEED a amp if you have a decent deck.

very clean sounding speakers. very nice highs and the lows are just right. I highly recommend these six by nines they're excellent sounding and the price was phenomenal compared to the sound of these are some of the best 6x9s sounds I have ever heard.

Amazing speaker

Although I do not own this current model I do own the prior model (6993PS) and if these are anything like the old ones they are a must have! I have owned these for 4 years and they hit just as hard as they did the day I installed them. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a great 6x9 that really could sit in place of a sub. I do not have them on an amp but there really is no need as long as you have a decent headunit and use the standard amp in the car.

Sick Speaker!

This speaker is awesome! You can amp this thing like none other! Tweeters are awesome and work great and make it so I don't have to get separate tweeters for the sub I have in the back. Alone (without a sub) the bass beats are still great. Work well for a good mid and high range speaker. Only complaint would be how it said it would fit my car. It didn't. I had to do a custom installation (cutting and different mounting options).

Very Satisfied

These worked great in my 2006 hyundai elantra and had some great sound quality, it hit the highs perfectly and had some deep consistent lows.

Decent Speakers

Overall they're Decent speakers, amazing mids and highs, but absolutely no bass, not that I'm not supplying them, they just can't handle any without sounding like crap. I have them hooked up to a boss amp, and without bass, they distort at such a loud level I'm not sure if it's the speaker or my hearing. If your going to get this speaker with an amp I would highly recommend it, if your not look for something else.

These 6x9 speakers are amazing for the price you get them at, they are of great quality. I would recomend them to anyone who is looking to improve their sounds system on a budget.

WOW

Bought these for our boat. originally i planned for these to be the rear speakers and put components in the front. turns out the rears are 3x10 :( but these are far better than i was expecting! they are even better after they are broke in! to break these in i hooked em' up to my garage amp (teac radio) and left em' running for 2 days. it broke em' in really nice. put them in the boat and hooked them up to the TAPE deck for fun. (tape deck was only 15W RMS per channel) any bit of bass would drain the head unit. finally got my Crunch 1600.4 in. WOW! Man these things rock. sooo much clean bass, clean mid, and crisp highs. i can hear things i never heard before in music!

I have 4 of these in my 2007 Camry LE...2 in the rear speakers and 2 in the front doors hooked into my kenwood 619 DVD player and all hooked into my Alpine MRX 4 Channel Amp...Well look out NYC..These hit hard and clear and there tops..Also there the only 5 way speakers out there.""I always listen to Tom Hartman to U2 to Usher to Blues..So there is my music street""Ps..If you have a Camry these will rub on the trunk handles when going up or down..There as big and deep as any high 6-9...smiles

these are very nice sounding when running off the Kenwood deck but once amplified with Kenwood amp these sound like you added a 8 inch sub. best 6X9 that i ever spend money on.

the only issue i had was the speaker did not fit the factory space very well so some adjustments had to be made but the work on that was worth it.

blown out of the box

I would not recommend. I bought these and paid a substantial amount of money to have them installed due to the complexity of getting to the old ones and drove off and realized one of them was blown. Out of the box blown, with minimal volume loudness. I would not recommend them.

The best 5 ways out there!!!

I bought 2 sets for my 2007 Camry le and the are a WOW speaker...The best part of these is the mids and High and the Bass comes out nice..
Anyway,,I have them hooked to a ""ALPINE MRX-f65 4 channel Amp, and Two Rockford P2D4-8 Subwoofers..Also a Rockford 500watt Mono amp to push these Killer Subs..Music goes from U2 to Justin Timberlake...

incredible!!

i just recieved and installed this speaker in my Neon SXT today. Man, this is awesome! I love the bass; hits real hard! I don't need a sub. Playing off my Pioneer head unit it does what it's suppose to with deep bass 500 watts each/1000 watts a pair. Git 'em !!

Great entry level speakers

I used these speakers in the rear deck of my car after one of my JL's went bad. I wanted a cheap quick fix and found these. While not on the same level as the JL's they surprised me. Hits pretty low. I have these running on a 4 channel amp putting out about 75 watts per channel. The only negative thing I have to say about these is I had to tune my amp down because when they get too loud the highs will make your ears bleed. And not in a good way. I didnt take anything away because of that. For 70 bucks I had low expectations to begin with and it exceeded them.

Awesome sound, and great price

these are great performance speakers for the money, in my opinion they sound just as good (if not better) than the Polk Audio speakers i have them hooked up to the 2011 model Sony radio and they sound amazing, you could easily put an amp to these to make them louder since they have such a high RMS rating and max power rating! I would buy from Kenwood again!

My friend has 2 10" kicker CVR's in a ported box on a 1000 watt amp and the stock speakers he had in there could not keep up what-so-ever. He purchased these and threw them in the rear deck of his car with a pair of "American Audio Speaker Baffles" so that the sound pressure created by the subs didnt ruin them, and all i can say it WOW. There not even amplified and sound amazing, they get soo loud yet stay crisp and clear. when we turned off the amp to see how much bass they put out we were pretty surprised at how boomy they were. The baffles somewhat act as a small box and really help to create depth and sound quality.

i bought these and i only got two for now i plan on getting some 6 1/2 inch speakers for the front but these speakers alone with a factory stereo are LOUD. my neighbor could hear me when i had it all the way up and i had it on the other side of my house the bass is great when my friends would sit in the back they could feel it vibrating them amazing speakers for price going to put them in a box soon gonna be even better :D

Good Rear Speakers

You can hear them loud and clear and the louder they go the better they sound, I have them hooked up to a bazooka BA460 Amp and its the sound of perfection.

Very Nice

Just installed them today to a Kenwood 600 watt amplifier and they sound crisp and clear, also installed some baffle with it which makes them sound every the more better would recommend to any one on a budget needing good quality sound.

i bought the 6-1/2" and the 6 x 9 just to match them. it sounds great when the volume is low (under 15) but not much bass. however if you do decide to turn it up (above 15) the bass does start to kick in. no subs needed if u like your music loud. i tend to keep the SYSTEM Q on Game or Rock just for that little extra bass. good speakers

These are good speakers espically for the price! Got them hooked up to a Kenwood headunit with the door speakers and the 6x9's.

Nice for the price!

I've had these in my car on a Kenwood 4-channel for about 6 months now and I've pretty much tortured them and they still sound like they did the first day I put them in! Not the best on the market but, great for the price. No disappointment.
