These Speakers Got Da BOOM!
Which is surprising considering these are slightly smaller than 6.5" (I don't remember the exact dimensions). Usually smaller speakers have a hard time delivering bass but that didn't stop these little guys from shaking my legs :D The tweeters have a strong, high response and since they are separated from the woofer you can increase both treble and base on your stereo system and you'll hear both; no fighting between them. Had to drill new holes for the included mount to fit my 03 Altima but it worked out well.
I can't speak for durability because of small time of ownership. But hey, they're obviously better than the 2ohm speakers I used to have, right?

Installed in Nissan Xterra front doors. Sound is much crisper than stock.

Incredible sound if it is set up right!
I installed these in the front and back of my 2011 RAV4 connected to a HiFonics BRX320.4 4-channel amplifier. In my opinion these speakers would sound better if they are paired with a subwoofer, let me explain why:
According to some reviewers here sometimes these speakers produce great bass, and others claim the bass is very bad. For me, it's the latter; the bass is decent at lower volumes but it just doesn't produce clean bass at louder volumes (and the wattage is well under the RMS rating, approximately 40WRMS to a speaker and tweeter in parallel). I think this might have to do with the way your vehicle is constructed however, as the door acts as an enclosure for the speaker and it makes all the difference in some vehicles.
All of that aside, as long as you have a subwoofer system to go along with these speakers and you filter out the low frequencies, they sound amazing. Every little detail in various genres of music is clearly pronounced with these speakers, and these speakers are crazy loud! I'm not even giving them their rated 80WRMS and I already feel like they're going to make me go deaf if I give them any more power. The tweeters pair extremely well with the 6-1/2's.
The only con I have about this speaker is that I couldn't install the grilles that came with the speakers due to the design of my RAV4, but that's not Kenwood's fault. Just thought it would be nice to show off the speakers since I'm spending money for them.
Definitely get these speakers. They're cheap, they sound like premium speakers, and even though they don't produce clean bass you should still consider using a subwoofer for your bass as component speakers in general aren't going to give you the best bass response as compared to say a 6x9.

great woofers weak tweeters
I bought this set up about 2 months ago... the installation was easy and i used all of the parts necessary for installation. The woofers sound solid they put out great mids. but are weak on bass (if you have subwoofers it does not matter) the tweeters however sounded great for about 3 days then they started to crack on the hi highs.

Great Buy
Bought the Kenwood KFC-P709PS to replace my factory speakers. In my 2002 Dodge Durango I was kind of leary about buying on line but im glad I did.
Great price and easy installation. I could not beleave the sound quality that came out of the speakers. I will buy from Sonic Electronix in the furture.

Not too shabby!
These speakers sounded great at the kiosk in BB but they were almost twice as much as here on this site. They sound even better in my car and actually have pretty decent lows, the highs are great too. Good value for what you get!

High Quality
I got these for my little Nissan car originally but now thats my racer. I put these in my custom headliner locations in my Mazda B3000 and when these are in a sealed enclosure the real value in these come out! They handle bass pretty well but they aren't made to be pushed like a sub or anything. The sound quality is nearly unmatched and the design on the cone is a nice touch compaired to the bland smooth lame design of others. The tweeters are very responsive and I have my receiver set to -2 on the highs thanks to these.

Very nice system. Great price!
This is a car audio system, but I actually used it in a 1982 Ghetto Blaster. (Fisher PH 430). It sounds much better than the original speakers did. Very crisp and accurate, and a very good value.

No Brainer
the KFC-P709PS 6" component speaker system is a fantastic upgrade to my Civics door speakers. Even though the fitment chart said they wouldn't fit they fit with a little cutting to the door panel. They sound incredible at low volumes producing more information very clearly .So turn them up and enjoy! Fair price with high quality is always a NO BRAINIER for me

Wooow
Wow did not expect the sound these produced for the price they get really loud as well as sound nice doing it sure there is better out there but for the price I would pick these up again only complain I had is the tweeter was big but if you can get past that it should be good.

Solid speakers at a good price
I bought two pair of these for my K5 blazer. I like the classic look of the full grill, some of the designs out there are too flashy and don't provide 100% protection for the speaker cone. I'll be honest that I'm biased towards Kenwood products as I have decks in all my cars, a few amps but this is only my second set of speakers manufactured by them. The build quality is good, installation was super easy, and the sound is good. I've got a set of speakers that I spent 5x the money on and these are not too far behind. They aren't the best but I think they're really good for the money. I would buy them again.

All together, a good buy!
I put these in the front doors of a 1999 Toyota Rav4 and the tweeters in the a pillars.... So much more crisp and better sounding than stock system.

Excellent performance from a value line of speakers!
I would recommend this component set to anyone interested in clear, defined sound out of a budget friendly set of speakers. These do best powered by an aftermarket head-unit and shine when properly powered by an external amplifier. The fit and finish is of higher quality than expected at this price-point and Kenwood doesn't disappoint. Well packaged and nicely appointed.

great value
These speakers are great. These are my first set of component speakers and I love them. The highs are turned down on my h.u. because the tweeters are nice and clear. The speaker handles bass pretty good, just make sure to use speaker baffles when installing to be able to hear the lower frequencies better. I did not use them and now I have to go back and install them to get the lower frequencies to sound louder. I am running these off of a sony xplode h.u. with no distortion on half volume. I am going to buy two more pairs for my SUV.

Good set of speakers
I recommend these to anyone looking for good solid sound for a decent price. I have these set up in my 2001 VW Jetta, and the fit isn't too difficult to manage, had to take the tweeters apart and carefully epoxy them into the original positions. The sound is better than stock with my aftermarket headunit. I ran them for a while without an amp, and they were still better than stock, with the amp in I can really crank it!

Fits perfectly in 350z
Installed these in my 350z.......gutted the old speakers and used them as speaker spacers ( worked perfect) and there are plenty of how-to's online for this.
the tweeters come with OEM plastic mounts....i broke 2 tabs off and filed them down and they fit perfectly in the stock location.....very easy to install and the inline crossover makes it sooooooo much easier as you just need zip ties to attach to the wiring harnesses already in place.
easiest stock upgrade for the 2003-2007 350z with minimal modifications the average Joe can do.....

best price! :)
Good sound for the price, a friend of mine is happy with it :) the good thing about it is that, the tweet is seperated from the mids so there's no whole at the middle of the speaker so no worries that dust might accumulate inside the speaker since the rear speaker of a '98 impreza is facing up. We're only using a pioneer head unit, no need for an amp but it sounded nice & clear...it already has a capacitor attached to the connecting wire for the tweet which is good.

Great Price!
These Kenwood speakers are more than what I expected for the price. They are definetly a great deal and buy. For the price I recomend this speaker and tweeter combo.

Great speakers for the money!
These speakers are much better than what I expected. I had never owned component speakers before, what a difference between non component speakers! The tweeter really compliments the woofer it is not too sharp to where it gets annoying its just right. Also like the way the tweeter can be pointed in the diection to the listener very nice feature. These speakers sound so good and bass from them is very nice and more than what you would expect from a 6.5' speaker.

Sick package
I put these in my Supercharged Xterra to replace the OEM Rockford speakers that were in there. HUUUGE difference! My music was crisp, clear and amazing tone. I was very surprised at how good these sounded given I had a POS deck with very crappy EQ. I had these powered by a 700w Sony amp and they can handle the volume and keep clarity. These things defintely push some db's.

Pristine Clarity. Sound is untouchable!
I would highly recommend this product. Great speakers that sounds impeccable. Also the tweeters that are included are dope!

Clean sound. Simple install.
Installed these in my old c230 Mercedes sedan. Clean sound. Definitely not high end sound but on par with bose car systems from 10 years ago. Lacks a bit of bass. I ran them with 50 watts a set. Loud low distortion. Easy install without a tweeter crossover box. I would buy them again.

Clean, Crystal Clear, Quality Sound.
I ordered the 708 model w/ separate crossovers. They were a challenge to install due to having to find placement for the crossover. This new model has the crossover built inline w/ the driver connections. That will allow you to install these easier but you're not able to upgrade your wire. I installed a Polk Audio PA660 and upgraded all of my speaker wire to a true 16ga and without having the separate crossover I wouldn't be able to do that totally.
These speakers sound so clear, and loud without being ear piercing. These speakers allow you to hear detail in songs that you never knew was there. It's amazing how many of my favorites I'm relistening to and it feels like I'm hearing them for the first time, that's because I really am. I did have these ran off of my Alpine 9886 before installing the amp and they sounded great both ways but I always recommend an amp for your Mids/Highs.
I still can't believe how cheap these speakers are. I recommend these to anyone looking for a great component set, and I'm going to install these in my Girlfriend's car on her Alpine 9883.

The best component for the money!
I have six of these Kenwood components in my vehicle and they sound like a complete stereo system with bass included. They are 80 RMS each and they sound better than any component out there or can stand beside any of the top brands with no problem at all. I am a pro at this and take it from me they sound great.

Decent speakers
They are only good for mids and highs, they cannot handle any bass, do not get them I'd you aren't going to be running a subwoofer.
Also they don't do a lot of good at low wattage, (low volume,) though towards the end of the spectrum they are quite loud.
The mounting for the tweeters isn't very useful, I expected to be able to put them in the oem tweeter locations, but couldn't because the cups that were provided with them didn't even fit around them, and without extendin the wires there's no way they would make it out of the door and up the dash.

Replace my factory front door speakers on my 1997 Subaru legacy wagon.
