Great Unit-Great Price

I want a unit with GPS and good sound but this one had so much more.
The flip up screen works so well. And cool looking. I thought I would would be trying to install this all day but 2 hours is all it took.
The only thing I do not like is when you add the wall paper you can't get it to come to the front of the screen. Maybe that will be on Kenwoods next Ver. Can not mark Durability as I just installed it.

Bought this deck about a week week and a half ago. Installed it my self . wiring was not bad at all but does have many wires that need crammed back there as it has so many options. This is the best quality deck out the for the money. Better than many 600-1000 dollar units. Very easy to use interface. It is a solid unit and performs flawlessly. I use it in conjunction with a 1000 watt 4 channel and some polk door speakers, sounds great. Love the way it opens and closes very solid not glitchy like other units. only problem is every once and awhile the kenwood cable I bought for the iPod says that the video has disconnected and the screen goes blue. Has only happened twice, and is the ONLY issue I have ever had with a kenwood radio. overall i would recomend this radio to anyone and everyone. Only advice if you watch movies on the go , purchase the remote and if you have an iPod buy the cable. definatly worth it in the end. best deck on the market in its price range!

AWESOMENESS!!!!!!!!!

Got my deck in the mail today and installed it in my vehicle without any trouble. Sound is impeccable and the features are great. does not come with remote but it is still a great deck.

An awesome product.

I've had this unit for over a year now. I made a major mistake cleaning the screen which rendered the touch screen inoperable so I replaced it with this one from Sonicelectronix. I have the Garmin GPS installed plus a rearview camera and my IPod. The IPod controls work like a charm for both music and videos although it took some time for me to figure out how to watch video. DVDs play very well with a great picture coming from a small screen. Sound quality from this unit is amazing. This is my first experience with a GPS unit and I find the Kenwood KNA-G610 Garmin add on unit easy to use. I love having this GPS unit. I purchased the Kenwood cmos-200 rearview camera and this camera gives me a clear and detailed view when backing up. There are numerous settings in the setup menu and does take some time, trial and error to set things up to your liking. I am extremely satisfied with this unit and I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to purchase a single din multi media unit.

Installed my deck as soon as I got and its great. Kenwood makes quality items. The USB connection has to be my favorite. No need for iPods when a flash drive is cheaper

Outstanding!

I owned the Kenwood Kvt-696 and I'm sure this will have very little difference if any. The options are great and the features are well thought out. if you get the navigation its a good choice Garmin is one of the best out there and this deck works great with the options. Recommended to anyone. Just another well built product from Kenwood!

Great in darkness

This camera works great at night, and also gives a wide view.

Pretty good camera

Ordered this camera on 6/2/11. Installed in a 2005 Camry XLE connected to a Pioneer DVD 4200. Installation fairly simple. I found the camera to be fairly large for what I would have liked. I ended up taking off the chrome piece above the plate and cutting a slot in it so that I could recess the camera a bit so it did not look so out of place. Still sticks out a bit more than I'd like, but does not look too bad. Came with enough wire to hook into the front of the car. Have the module mounted in the truck behind a panel. Camera picture is good. I found that in bright sun you can get quite a bit of haze/wash out on the picture. Still viewable fine, but a bit distracting. Also, with the sun hitting the bumper of the car I can get a sun spot glare dot and line from the reflection off the paint. Still see behind no problem, but leads me to believe the cameras ablity to deal with light conditions is somewhat limited. Night viewing with reverse lights is super. Have had the camera a while now and (knock on wood) it is still going strong. Have washed the car by hand with lots of suds and wash mit, been in pretty good rain, ice/snow and has not developed a problem as I've heard about other cameras out there. Overall I'd say I'd buy it again for the price. Considering getting a Tacoma as well and installing the same head unit. If I do, I would not worry about getting this camera for that as well.

I bought this to go with my Sony XAV 70BT and it worked right out of the box. Fitting was relatively easy with not much problems encountered. It works very well both in day and night times and gives a wide area of view at the back. I would definitely buy it again.

I like this camera it's easy to install and the picture quality is nice and clear even at night, I installed this with my avic z120bt perfect combination.

Sony XA-R800C

I was not overall impressed with the video output of this device. I had it installed in my Honda Crz to provide backup assistance, as well as a NavTool I had professionally installed. It definitely falls short of OEM quality which surprised me as Sony makes solid products but it does the job. I feel there may be better images out there but definitely at a price. At under $100 this will do the job. In regards to the camera I felt it may have been a bit odd shaped.

Great Picture

This unit was a life saver as I was always nervous when backing into parking spots and out of the driveway. The picture is clean and the components were straight forward to install.

Great Head Unit

Great head unit, easy to use. Great menu display, excellent adjustment options. Best on the market for this price, it beat my $1000 Alpine unit of the same style, by a long shot I might add. The only negatives I have for this unit is that the Nav is a separate unit that costs the same amount as the deck, as well as the remote control and iPod connectivity sold separately with no package deal offered. Might have been a perfect score if the Head Unit was for sale in a package with the Nav system, a remote, and satellite. That would have been perfect.

amazing!

first, Ive want a Kenwood headunit before i ever owned a car. the reason is, because i love how far it can come out, and the way it flips out.
its unique. i just bought this one from sonic and I'm just amazed!
every flip-out out there has barley anything to offer and no audio control.
this unit will have u lost in things for hours!..just so much audio control and options....its fast acting, beautiful exterior....just 10 outta 10

Okay for the money

I purchased this item for a BMW 325i. I own several Kenwood dvd head units and I can honestly say the KVT-516 is my least favorite. It does as advertised, it works well, the interface is flawless and I would definitely recommend the unit.

Pro's:
It is better than every single din unit on the market.

Cons:
The single din unit does not match up to the double din units. No graphic equalizer adjustments, no gain control from the screen, the graphics are not mind blowing (atari look) and the double din has so many options that cannot be added on.

I definitely recommend the unit and I hope more add on's are available for the KVT-516 in the near future.

Great price!

This unit did not disappoint. It is everything I wanted and expected. Installing the unit could not have been easier. The sound quality is great. The picture from the DVD player is great. There are a lot of settings to learn and some of the software settings are strange. It was puzzling trying to figure out what algorithm they use to sort the music when using a USB stick. Getting all of the album art to show up was tough. I finally used Media Monkey to set all of the Id3 tags. Over all a great media player.

Not sure

I purchased this deck, and loved it for the first 2 days, after that the screen would shut off and not come back on. I would have to shut the whole unit off and turn it back on and that may or may not solve the problem.

no problems works great

This product makes it safer for driving, I can see more clearly behind the car, which is a bonus when you have younger children. I would recommend this product and seller. Delivery was quick and product was in working order.
