Nice Deck not to many thing going on. Blue Tooth works great!! not too many settings like other decks. Remote could be longer range though. shade setting should match ANY dash lights!!

this deck has great features for the price but it arrived DoA witch turns me off to buying kenwood in the future.

Kenwood Excel on KDC-X399

PROS: Excellent Car Stereo, has alot of audio adjustments for a crystal clear sound no matter what kind of music you like and Sounds awesome and is a very affordable quality deck!

CONS : to small of clock display, and Display is really hard to see in daylight!

Good product

Quite an excellent product. I enjoy the Bluetooth hands-free calling which makes my driving easier. However the 4v preamp output did not live up to my expectations. I assumed it would bring more power compared to my old stereo which was 2v preamp but that is not the case. Nonetheless the radio is superb.

My first new deck in 13 years!

This deck is replacing my 13 year old Panasonic CQ-DF802U. That old deck held up great, but was starting to get tired. I'm known for running my gear 'til it dies. Time to step up to modern tech!
The KDC-X399 is quite a nice deck, especially at this price point. I had 4 different decks picked out, and agonized over them all, until I settled in on this one. Lots of features, most of which I need to learn to use. The basics are pretty easy to figure out. I've been a car audio nut since my first car, back in 1986, and I've seen a lot of changes in products.
Without changing anything, other than swapping decks, I can say that this unit massively out performs the old one. It sounds great! I'm looking forward to some "tweak and tune" time in the driveway tomorrow. I can't wait to hear what this thing can really do!

Worth every penny!

Awesome radio! Hands down one of the best radios for the price over ever had! I've always used kenwoods and the deck is a prime example why!

Couldn't be happier with my choice. I ordered this for my dad to replace his stock radio and it's very easy to use and sounds great.

Loved the customer service

This is a very watered down product of the Kenwood line. I got what I paid for; should have spent more and get better functions, easier to get around, etc., type of product with next purchase.
The customer service for these guys is fantastic. Have to wait on hold for a bit but they know what they are talking about when you have a question!
