Great Bass

I had two of these hooked to the Kicker 400x1 amp. they were only getting pushed to half of their RMS, but still managed to slam so hard they broke a peice of panneling from my trunk. Sound Quality isnt the greatest but if you are looking for loud bass at low cost, these are definitely the way to go.

LOUD

this sub is extremly loud. the sound quality is pretty decent, but sometimes i found it to have a little "boingy" sound at the end. i really like the looks of the sub and it does make a head turing sound!

Good All Around Sub

I installed these at an old job. They're an all around good sub, nice clean sound with the ability to pound. Just have to make sure you put enough wattage to them and the right amp.

Great Sub

I have two of these in a sealed enlcosure that I'm pushing with a Power Acoustik LT980/2 amp (running 2 ohm mono) in a jeep wrangler and i'm amazed with how hard they hit. they were very quick to break in and i have never had a problem with them. Kicker Subs are the best you can buy

Sweet Deal

I bought these subs because they were the best bang for my buck and i was right! These things slam! as of right now i just have them hooked up to a crappy sony amp! but still! amazing!! i had to buy new, more sturdy subs when my mtx's went up in smoke (literally!!), they couldnt take it, these can! Awesome buy!
The BEST part about it, i bought these '05s because they were cheaper than the '07s, and they shipped me the '07s for the '05s price!!! cant beat that!!! that's a nice $130 discount!!! thank you sonic electronix!!!!

Sweet

I purchased two of these and wired them as a 1 ohm load each. I have them wired to a 1250w power acoustik amp and they pound pretty hard and it was clean bass. They hit hard and deep. All around great value for the quality a sub.

its good sub for the price

SE has lowered this price dramatically since last year. If you are an entry person into car audio. Start with this then work your way up. Beginner sub, it has a limit. Always remember to be gentle with kickers for the first 2 hours of playing then you can abuse them.

GREATEST SUBS!!

My Boy Chuck has 2 of these Kicker Competition subs in the sealed Livin Loud box they are powered by 2 Kicker amps and they HIT like you would never believe. I recommend these to anyone looking for heart pounding bass. He blew out his back deck but will be getting it repaired. He payed 5 grand for everything for it and is well worth it. I never heard anything better. The subs are probably pushin close to 3500 watts.
Great value!!

Great sub

Kicker quality at a cheap price! This is great! I have one in a small ported box and this thing shakes my '89 Cadillac Deville very well. I am powering it with a hitron 1000.1 at 400 watts (4 ohms). Great buy!

this is great!

this sounds very good and is very loud! unfortunately i have only heard it with a kicker amp.. so i am not sure how it will sound with another amp but im sure it will still be very clear and loud.

Good Stuff

My friend and I put two of these together along with a custom tuned box, (35 Hz, 3/4" MDF, .8 cubic feet/sub), and a mtx amp to push it. These badboys hit. As long as you know/have an idea of what you are doing you can make these great subs for the value and sound.

Ok subs

I used to own these subs but i traded them for the memphis'. They are good in the low but when they bass hits it sounds a little "bouncy". Whne you put these in a ported bow though, it gets very low, you can be heard from far away.

Great sub!

I have this subwoofer in a 1998 Chevrolet Pickup Extended cab, in a sealed box underneath my back seat. The subwoofer doesn't get nearly as much air space as it's recommended to have, and it still hits HARD. It's hooked up to an MTX 300XD amp at around half power, so it's running less than half RMS, and I've been pulled over numerous times. Listen responsibly =]

Overall, this subwoofer is a great deal, it has nice, crisp sound (and if it doesn't, you didn't set it up right.). It's definitely a great deal, and a wonderful buy! It's the envy of all my friends.

Great Buy!

I haven't installed them yet, but I hear good things about them. 400 rms 800 watts peak, I bought a KAC9104D to power them. You should get these.

Kickers...Livin Loud is right!

These speakers are amazingly powerful. When the bass is going, I cant look out my rear view mirror!! I have heard many subs, and these are an extreme value. Huge bass with these things. I recommend. They also look really cool.

factory setup

I connected one of these subs to an ma audio amp pushing 400 watts RMS from the factory head unit in a Chevy HHR and it sounds amazing! I didn't expect such good results from this setup considering the lack of an after market HU but, I was very impressed. Would recommend this sub as a very affordable option to anyone.

Please god do not buy!

These speakers are WAY overrated. I put 300 watts RMS to each of these speakers, say at about 3 minute drag, they overheated. No problem. Restarted the system the next day and at a 30 second drag, the left channel Sub's voice coil was ripped off, and the other sub burned the voice coil solid. They have great sound if you use VERY low wattage and do not attempt to push them. KICKER SUBS ONLY**** LIKE KICKER AMPS!

Excellent subwoofer!

I installed a pair of these with the optional Kicker ported box in my friend's 88 Monte Carlo. They are exceptionally loud. You can feel your chest vibrating from the power these put out. I recommend them for anyone.

BEST SUB FOR THE PRICE

THIS SUB IS MY FIRST SUB AND IT IS SO LOUD. I HAVE IT IN A 1.7 SEALED BOX AND 700 WATT AMP BRIDGED AT 1 OHM AND CANT BELIEVE I ONLY HAVE ONE SUB. I AM SO SATISFIED THAT I AM GOIN TO BUY A SECOND ONE. AND THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS IS THAT THEY SEND YOU THE 07 MODEL INSTEAD OF THE 05.. GREAT SUBWOOFER YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED..

The coolest SUB around

These SUBs are to good. I have four of them in a 97 Crown Vic in a ported box and they r killing me slowly. The fact that i get pull over ever time i put my radio on ten explains ever thing. But the down fall of the SUBs is finding a amp to push all this power

Very Impresive

So I was in my nearest dealer looking around for subs when he showed me the Kicker Comp VR's. To be quiet honest I wasn't expecting all that much from them, but when they got turned up to half volume I was amazed at how clear and hard hitting these subs were, and that was only half volume! I was just all around impressed with these subs and I would recommend them to any one.

kicker cvr12

these are the best subs i have ever owned. I have two of the kicker cvr12 ohms with a fosgate p600 mono amp and they hit really hard. as long as you give them enough power about 600 watts rms you won't be disappointed.

I recently purchased 2 kicker comp vr subs and I have them hooked up to a kicker 750.1 amp in a vented box. They sound amazing. I have the subs wired down to a 2 own load and I can't believe how loud they are. I have the gain and bass boost on the amp about a quarter way up and its all the bass I need, everything in my car rattles. I recommend them to anyone who loves a lot of bass!

CVR's are UNDERRATED!!!!!

There's something wrong with the guy that said these subs are overrated. He said he put 300 WATTS RMS to each and they overheated in 30 seconds???? Yeah right. I have 2 of these running off of a Hifonics BX1605D (1600 Watts) Amp, AND I broke my CVR's down to 1 ohm....which means they're getting 800 watts RMS or more EACH! I play my system HARD and LOUD for hours and I've had NO PROBLEMS. No burning, overheating, nothing. So if anything CVR's are UNDERRATED!!! Buy these subs....you won't be dissapointed.

Should Only Buy with Ported Kicker Box

Very good subs. Have a friend with 2 of these in the recommended (Kicker Livin Loud) box. Rock solid bass with no distortion. Still sound good even after cranking up the volume. Would highly recondmend these subs with the ported Kicker box that's made for 2 of these bass rattling kickers that says Kicker Livin Loud on the front of the box. These speakers are alright with a sealed box but are 20% louder in the recondmended box for them. Still good subs in a sealed box, but they just sound better ported. Don't let this stop you from purchasing these subs because I'm about to buy 2 of them in a sealed box.

Simply Stunning

These speakers LOOK good and sound EVEN BETTER! I'm running 300 watts to each speaker in a sealed enclosure and they are just... WOW... I couldn't fathom anything sounding better. They also look nice w/ the speaker grills that sonic sells.

Great subs for this price!

My friend had bought these subs with the Enclosure and Sub combo, he had paired with a Rockford Fosgate Amp, crazy deep bass, actually shook the door of Taco Bell when he was parked on the other side... yea, if given enough power and with the proper wiring and such, they WILL bang. Really for this price range it is the best bang for the buck in my opinion. A+ Quality!

Great for the price.

I had a single one of these and thought it was great for the price. The sound is pretty accurate and has pretty nice low end. People assume all kicker subs have terrible sound quality but this is not true with these.
