Great for regular subs, bad for shallow-mounts.

The inner curved points are hazardous to the outward cones of the Kicker CVT 12" line of shallow mounted subwoofers.

I don't think grills are really necessary for subwoofer installations. They do provide a little protection, and a little peace of mind. However, the real purpose for putting a grill on is cosmetics. They make your sub look cooler. And when it comes to that, this one definitely gets the job done.

looks nice/ protects

The grill does a great job of protecting your sub if it is in the trunk or wherever. It looks really nice, and i put a light coat of flat black spray paint over it to make it match the color of everything else. if you don't have a bandpass enclosure, i recommend a grill so you wont have to worry about your nice sub getting ruined.

Great protection for your subs, worth the investment. With a little creativity they can be painted or power coated to match your interior.

i bought this for my cvr and it looks great it matches the color of my suv and you could also paint it so it can match anything. i wouldnt recomend it to anybody that is going to use it with the cvt. the pointy sides could damage your sub. but if your using it on comp,cvr or cvx great buy!

I bought theses sub grills to protect my woofers. I would recommend them too anyone who has a truck(like myself) and hauls alot of junk!! They are a sub saver!!!
