I have two of them in my 2007 chevy silverado ext. As of right now i have only 500 watts rms going to them from my jl audio 500/1v2 amp and i set off car alarms with ease. planning on getting more power to them and seeing whats up this summer

Big power for a great price.

I bought 2 kicker L5s about 6 months. I put those in a custom ported box,and am giving them power via a Memphis PR.1000. once i tuned the subs in......WOW. I was shocked how good they sounded and how much power they delivered. First couple hard bass notes set off my neighbors car alarm. They accurately reproduce music even at high volume. Country-Rap-Rock-HipHop-Metal-Classical-Swing-Blues-Dance/Techno....What ever your into, you'll love these subs. i have them in the trunk of a 2000 honda civic. It looks like king kong is trying to get out of the trunk. You can crank them all day and not worry bout hurting the voice coil....before i put these in i had Hart EKG 12 inch squares, but the kickers just out perform them by a mile. All i can say is that Kicker Kicks a$$.

Holy Crap

This woofer is amazing. I have one in my jeep grand Cherokee installed in a ported box at 2.30 cubic feet and it sounds so good and hits hard. They blow away my orion c10s. they are hooked up to a kicker 1000.1 amp. HIGHLY recommend. Only bad thing its heavy as hell

this sub is amazing!! we installed it in my cousin's s2000 and put a zx 500 amp on it omfg u cant even sit in the car with this beast turned up my ears were ringing for a hour after i got out GET THIS SUB IF U CANT AFFORD THE L7!!
he just called me the other day and told me he was riding threw a parking lot and set off a car alarm .. are u kidding me with 1!! 12 this sub is sick

greatest ever

Just bought two of the L5 2ohm dvc subs and paired them with a cadence zrs 7000d amp and it sounds awsome if u wont good subs then look no futher here they are and the service i got from Sonic was the best ever

Great Subwoofer!!!

I Have One L5 In My 03 Camry, And I Love It Hits Extremely Hard And Is Loud For One Subwoofer! Only Problem Is That The Ported Box I Have It In, Well The Sub Is Actually Starting To Beat It To Death Literally....So Now I Need A New Box.....And Its Doing All Of This On A 400 Watt Mtx Amp...Awesome!

Great Speaker!

I love this subwoofer from Kicker!! I've been using it for about 6 months now and would recommend it to anybody. I have it in a 4 door accord and it sounds great. I have the speaker in a 3.25 cubic feet ported enclosure. It is powered by a Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D wired at 1 ohm. This amp and sub combo sounds great in my accord. Kicker has always built quality speakers and they did a great job with this one.

My Kicker Experience

I am running a 1800 watt/650 rms Hifonics bruits amp to two Solo-beric L5 kickers, one already blew with in the first week of having it. I took the time to break them in, but I guess it was too much. so be advised to take it easy for a few weeks

I have 2 of these in a dual 12" vented enclosure with a layer of dynamat on the inside of the box, hooked up to a 4000watt power acoustik. I would recommend these subs to anyone, They cracked my windsheild.

Kicker L5

This thing slams! I have in a 1.6 cubic foot sealed box with a hifonics amp and when u turn it up u can't breath in my truck. Very happy with the buy

Great Sub but too expensive

Bought this sub 2 months ago from this website it only cost $180.00. Very disappointed with the $120.00 increase in price, I guess the website is selling out. Any way the sub is great hits hard and very tough. The bass is clean all in all it is a great sub. I liked this website for its low prices, I guess they were losing money.

Awesome sound

I got two of these and put them in my Jeep Wrangler running them both on a Kenwood Excelon 1200 amp at 1 ohm. The sound that comes out of the subs is amazing, I have set car alarms off on the lower levels of parking garages while I was on the higher levels. If you hook them up to the right amp and do your homework you will not regret getting these.

worlds best sub hands down

i have the 10 inch sub in my Cherokee and i have had a lot of subs in my life and this sub will blow everything away. as long as you know how to hook it up this is stupid loud. very very very happy.

wow these things are off the charts im hitting 147.2 db with these in a kicker ported enclosure its incredible and they sound clean i know like four people that have these and mine are so loud i have a kac x1r excelon amp and i have had numerous complaints from neighbors and police. def. a++++++

i had 2 of these hooked up in my 2000 grand Cherokee, these subs pounded hard! sq was very good and spl was good also. i hit 150db w/ 750 rms going 2 each sub in a box built 2 kicker specs w/ a stock alt and stock battery, not bad at all. kicker has really good subs and i would recommend 2 anyone

Kicker is the best

I own 2 of these and they straight knock. For now i am running one alpine PDX 1.000 watt amp to feed them the power they need until i get a new car and get another PDX. I recommend all kicker products to everyone. BUY THESE WOOFERS!

Intense, as expected...

Holy crap these are loud! With 2 L5's in a sealed bow with a 1000x1 class D amp, you can lift the dust from your seats into a visible cloud in the air. You can feel air currents moving aruond your body. You feel your hair flap in the wind. You can't see out of the rear view mirror, ever.

The down side is that the midbass is very flat as the frequency response rolls off, and even with 6.5" midbass speakers, there is a big gap around 100hz. Oh well, I don't like the way 100hz sounds anyways. I want my bass from 30-80 hz. With sealed box and lots of power, 30-80 hz is very tight (low Q factor) and very loud.

Kicker Rocks

these subs are the best subs i have owned they are in a sealed box with a power acoustik OV2-2600 watt amp and they take it all and have ben for over a year now and still get silly loud however there is one drawback you will nead a new rearview mirror cuz they will knock it off fast

i have two of these hook up with a 1211a amp...and they are crazy...a bit expensive but def the buy..if you are worried about the money then look at the 05S12l52..same sub just a year older

F-ing AWESOME

I have two of these L5's in my VW GTi hooked up to a 1000 watt Rockford fosgate amp. they hit sooo hard! When i go down the street i set off car alarms. These are the best set of subs i've ever owned.

best sub for the price

i bought this sub and i am very pleased with it. when i bump it to the fullest in the whole car you could feel sound waves going all around you. for sure this sub beats other subs on the market if you do get it get a good amp for it

man this sub hits hard iv got mine runnig on 760w and man does it pump. it hits the lows and the change in my cup holder bounces. iv got it in a 2001 F-150 4 door. its so loud that my mom hears me turning on my road!!!!!!!!!

Best subs

Have 2 l5's with a ZX1000.1 amp they really pound.Wasn't really sure what subs I wanted but I am glad I chose these ones. So recommend, you won't be disappointed.

Extreme Bass, High Price

I just got this sub about a month ago, it really does pound to the point you can damage your car. I'm feeding it around 575 Watts RMS. Although not all songs are not meant for bass, you will find that this improves all the sound. Certain songs I play can be heard down the block, however mix-tape songs don't play as good. Kicker makes great products, very high quality, although they are quite expensive. This speaker is a little too expensive I think, my next sub will be from Hifonics because they're affordable and just as good quality. If your on a budget or shopping in this price range check out Hifonics, for the same price you can get a GOLIATH which will literally break your car into pieces with the same price tag.

This L5 Rocks for SPL

Bought 1 from Sonic (excellent service and delivery BTW! keep up the great work and the great website!) for a friend's system .
I have to say that in my 20 years involved in car audio I have heard my fair share for subs, and this one is a gound pounder. We powered it with a Kicker 400W Rms x 1 class D amp and installed it in a ported 2.4 cu-ft enclosure in the trunk of my buddy's jetta.
Definetly not an Sound Quality sub (compared to other SQ subs like Boston G5's, JL W6's, Image Dynamics IDQ's) but it will play a wide range of music nicely being rap it's favorite..
An A+ for SPL, a B for SQ.
Of course that's my 2 cents...

Slammmm

I currently have two of these in the back of my car, they hit pretty hard. i have them in a smaller sealed enclosure due to lack of space.
im powering this with the 750.1 running them at 2ohms. they hit very nice.
