Great

I would recommend! Got to my house quick easy to wire.

I have two of these in 8 cubes @ 37hz in my pickup. These subs are great, my dash hops on the lows, back window flexes over an inch. Even the tailgate flexes. I don't know how much better it can get. On the higher notes I have trouble seeing the road because my eyeballs are shaking. They can take a little more than the recommended RMS power. Build quality is excellent. Thanks sonic!

Amazing Subs

These subs were made to hit the lows. I have 2 of them in a custom sealed box with a 2000 watt crunch amp, in my little GTI, these speakers SLAM. I would definitely recommend these to anybody. The only cons are they take up my whole trunk and rattle the dash a little, Pros are just everything.

Kicker bumps

I would recommend this sub to any one who wants loud bass but really clean. I do recommend pairing it with a Kicker amp with 500 watts of class D power. Wow it hammers hard! Good speaker, great price and fast shipping! Love Sonic!

Holy crap

Absolutely the best sub I have ever owned. Got a box custom made for it that makes this thing absolutely hammer down. The absolute only issue that I have with this sub is that is has the tendancy to try and out-do itself every now and then, got it in today and already have gotten noise complaints. Hands down the best sounding and loudest sub I have owned. Would DEFINITELY recommend to anybody looking for great quality and loud on a budget.

Amazing Value!

Cons: must have correct amp; vibrates mirrors if up too high. Pros: Easy to install. Most definitely the best subs i have ever owned! Great quality, doesn't distort the music, and hey? who couldn't use a back massage while driving? All together, pros definitely override the cons!

mid-level competition

I currently have dez in my car now fixing to sell for 250 with ported box but its a nice sub. I would say its more deep than loud. Running a 100.1DX Powerbass to it, which gets about 1200 rms at 1 ohm, and dey pound but da amp blew dem. They are 500 watts rms and I wudnt go over dat. I say dis becuz i blew it with gain almost half way up and level at -10. but still good subs. have videos on you tube if u wanna hear

Wow one of the best

Well I own 3 of these subs and tell you they hit really hard i have a mtx 91002 pushing all 3. The amp is to big for this sub but it still does the job every one looks a me when I am driving and some people gets really pissed but I don't really care that much some fools pull next to me with there systems, but when I turn my volume up they get the surprise. I really recommend this subs to anyone that like bass.

Kicker, need i say more?

Let me just say this before I go into the cvr, I have owned 2 pioneer 12s, a rockford p315, and 3 sony 10 xplodes. This one sub hits way harder than anyone of those setups. Currently I am running it on a hifonics 1200 watt amp. This sub will not let you down. I'm getting another one for sure when the refunds come in.

Pounds!!!

Reviewed lots of woofers off of this site but ended up getting this one because of price, so I built a ported enclosure for it and man this thing hits hard and I'm only in the breaking in stage can't wait until I can bump it up.

Great starter sub!

if your just getting into audio, the CVR is a great sub to start with, it has double stacked mags that are around 6" diameter, it has excursion like a mofo, it looked to be about 2" when I did it with my setup originally.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22BURZoLgmE

Overall, this sub handles 400 rms pretty damn good, so i'd drive it with about that, in that video I was using an Infinity Reference amp on it. I cant remember the model # of the amp however.

Yes.... This 15" cvr did some work off my rockford r500-1D back in the day... This thing pounded in my custom ported box.. Recommended for sure.

Great Sub

I have had the sub for 6 months now and am very pleased with it. I am running one 15" in a sealed 3/4" MDF 2ft^3 box (with polyfill) and it sounds great on the lows. Paired it with a JL 500.1 slash v1 amp. Be warned it WILL rattle your car/van/suv if it is stock with no dead mat etc. You really should take it easy on the first two weeks for break in time and after that it sounds perfect.

I find it funny

How people talk about the cvrs and how they have no sound quality, I have 2 of these in the trunk of my 2001 grand marquis in a 10 cubic foot ported box and powered by a 2100 watt brutus and they SLAM. I mean get your mids and highs right and you won't have to worry if they sound sloppy its an spl woffer its made to be loud as no other and that's exactly what it is. I would recommend to anyone and thank you sonic electronics for the best prices anywhere

Good sub

I have had one for 2 years now in a box I desinged and built 5.56 ft3 with .5 ft3 for the port 21 inches long. Its running off a old rebuilt punch 800 in a 96 chevy lumnia. It ran 130.3 db on the dash. not too bad for under 300 dollar system.

Best BaNg for your buck

Awesome sub. I have a Grand am gt. And the sub is in a ported box and this thing rocks my car. If you want mirror shaking bass for a good price. this sub is for you. I have a 900 watt class d mono amp going to it. And i have not had the amp up all the way at all. Maybe a quarter of the way up. Again awesome sub. Good job Kicker!!

Great!

I bought two of these and put them each in sealed 1.9ft^3 enclosures (with 16oz of polyfill in each, also). The low-frequency extension was MUCH better than I had expected, and also the tonal clarity is excellent! I'm very serious when I say that these driver sound better than my three JL 12W3V2's.

These drivers do push a lot of air and get loud, but require a lot of power. I would definitely recommend these for my friends and customers. I do wish they were recommended for smaller ported enclosures.

P.S. I am running a Rockford Fosgate 1501bd at 3/4 gain and these subs shake my dash pretty violently :)

HARD HITTING BASS.

I HAVE TWO OF THESE POWERED BY 750.1 AMP AND IT GETS HARD TO BREATH! GREAT SUBWOOFERS. BUT IM LOOKING AT EITHER THE L7S OR CVXS BECAUSE I WANT MORE BASS. GREAT PRODUCT FROM SONICELECTRONIX.COM

Great and Powerful Woofer

I purchased a pair of these subs back in November and I have to say I am completely satisfied with the results. These woofers are loud! I have them hooked up to a Rockford 750-1D and it pounds them hard. I can visibly see my Windows flex and I can even shake the mirrors of other cars while in traffic. I would highly recommend these woofers for anyone who wants great sound at a great price.

Good buy for the money

The CVR is a pretty decent sub for the money. They take rated power and some, which I think sacrifices the sound quality quite a bit. They get awful muddy on the low notes, but sound great with the high notes. I blew one in a week in a ported enclosure with rated power, and when I called Kicker the tech told me to under power it in a ported enclosure. Next time I will probably go another route with my set-up with maybe some Type R's which have extremely better sound quality compared to these.

Nice

I would recommend these to anyone on a budget or to anyone that likes great sounding subs. I am running 4 of these off of a Power Acoustik Gothic 5500 (which is 2500 watts) @ a 2 ohm load and they sound really good. I am still breaking them in, but I am already getting windshield flex and my rear view mirror has become useless. I have them in a 91' Caprice Classic, so for me to get windshield flex without having free air space says a lot about these subs. Make sure not to overpower them and break them in properly. They work best @ 400 - 700 watts of true power. Mailed to me quickly and actually a few hours earlier from the time I was given.

Okay for the price

I was looking for sub for my new C-class Mercedes and would say it hits pretty hard for one 15"...but I wish it would hit harder..I might just end up getting another one pretty soon.

Kicker CVR 15

I got 2 of these 15's in my Chevy Blazer hooked up to a Hifonics BXI 1610D 1600 watt amp wired at 1 ohm. These things make it hard to drive and if they are in the right box they can punish the lows. Sound quality could be better but these are built more for the loudness. It makes my trunk flex at least an inch. I highly recommend to someone who want's nothing but extreme bass at a good price.

This subs can do some damage, i have 2 of them in a toyota 4runner and this thing will make ur teeth chatter! I have set off a numerous amount of car alarms and been pulled over more than i would have liked to be but they are worth it! great buy!

Amazing Product!

I bought one of these, upgrading from 2 12's and let me say this 15 blows them out of the water. The 15 moves so much more air and just slams would recommend to any of my friends. Soon i will be geting a Hifonics1500.1 and an XS Power cell for it so i can only imagine what it is going to sound like with max power constantly flowing to this beast..... KIcker runs my town!

By Dougan93 on July 25, 2012

1 15 sounds better than 2 12's

My friend had 2 12" kicker cvr's in a small sealed box in his mustang. He upgraded to 1 15" in a sealed box that I helped him find and was surprised that it was louder. The lows came in a lot better and the entire system took less power. He set off someone else's alarm for the first time with this sub while I was tuning the amp and never before with the 2 12s. The price is even lower this way. Make sure you get the right box for Kicker subs because they are very picky.

sounds great

Plays the lows like no other. I was able to build a pretty decent sized box for a regular cab chevy tuned to 32 Hz. I have a zx500.1 making all the bass possible. I have people believing there are multiple subs in the cab but when I lean the seats up they can't believe it.

Not bad!

I ordered one of these and it came in the mail today. This was my first purchase from SonicElectronix and I'm more than satisfied, no damage whatsoever upon arrival. Package contents were packaged well (PLENTY of packaging peanuts, lol)

I have mine bridged to a Hifonics ZXi 1010 amplifier receiving 1000 watts RMS (double what is recommended) in a sealed 3.0 cu. ft. enclosure and it does quite well. I haven't pushed it too hard out of fear of blowing this wonderful piece of equipment but it's performed very well playing both rock and rap music. It pumps out mirror vibrating, body panel flexing lows with rap and while playing rock, the drums and bass guitar sound amazingly clear and clean. I'm planning on buying a second without a doubt.

KICKER BRINGS ME BACK FULL CIRCLE

I have had the opportunity to try several products in my Cherokee over the past years. Looking for the sound i got off a MTX 8302 with 2 12" CVR's in a trunk of a Chevy Beretta. They moved a lot of STRONG low end notes and clean at it too. Almost perfect. I hate over excessive SPL .In my SUV ratin from best to last, #1 1-JL12W7, #2 2-S12L7'S, #3 2-S12L5'S, #4 2-10" Audiobahn Hi Excrsns, #5 2-12" Kappa Perfects. All this to only come back to the CVR's but this time 15's with a MTX TA7801 CVRs see 734rms@4ohms. They get very loud and shake with loose lows in my SUV in a good way not the tight SPL way. All that money down the drain just for being curious!
