powerful sub!

This sub is great! But make sure that it is installed in a ground shaker box. Those enclosures compliment the subwoofer well. These speakers need to breathe, and in the right box it sounds amazing! The lows on this are deep and strong. I had this hooked up to a 1200 watt amp and it handled well. Never had any problems with it!

Loud and Low

So i bought this about 3 months ago from Sonic, got it in 2 days and wired it up and man does this thing hit hard! I got it wired to 1 ohm with 1200 watts rms at 14.6 volts and it shakes my whole Civic! If you want an L7 just get this for 200 dollars cheaper and you will almost be as loud and have wayyyyyyy better SQ. I recommend this sub to anyone.

Clean deep bass

If you're looking for a subwoofer that will continue to impress you with it's clean deep bass and that can handle power, this is the subwoofer you are looking for! I have two of these in a sealed box, powered by the 08ZX1500.1

So Great

I have two of these in a Ground Shaker NP 2 12 box, bought off of this site. I'm using 8 gauge wire (a bit small for this one so lacking a little power), and I have a T-Spec V8-3DDC capacitor at 3.0 farads. I'm amazed that with subs of this power, the only lights that dim are my interior lights, headlights don't flicker a bit! Also, they're being pushed by a Boss PH2.1500 amp, that's 1500 watts per sub, and it's bridged, so even better! These are amazing, though I really don't feel as if I'm getting the full power out of them, after I turn the volume up to 20, they will not get any louder. This is my first system hookup, so I may just need to mess with the amp a little, or maybe bigger gauge wire.. But all in all, these things are amazing! After two days, they have made my hearing out of my right ear bad, though it comes back by the next day. They are definitely worth the price! Only problem is the same old Kicker look, I wish they would do it different on some of their subs. :/

best subwoofer

These sub are unbelievable, kicker out done there self this time. I had two of these and they kicking down the place, they play better than the L7. I recommend the kicker CVX to any one. THEY ARE GREAT!!!

great subwoofer!

I have one of them on a Orion 1200 D on 4 ohms and the Kicker is hitting hard! Haven't unleashed its full potential yet on one ohm.

Great Sub

I have own 2 CVX 12s for the past year and i can say this subs are great. I have them in a super bass probox 2.5 cubic foot per side and pushing them with the SSL 5000W evolution amp its pushing around 1000w RMS and this subs are braking my car apart but I love it. I defenetly recommend this subs there a little pricie but there worth it.

i have two of this subs on the back of my zx3 focus and the bass sounds amazing i didn't even have the amp all the way turn up i'm running a fosgate power amp and this sub's really worth buying

Great sub!

The sub is a great value and sound. It hits really hard even though I'm under powering by 100 watts. I've had no problems what so ever.

totally pounds

My friend has 2 of these in his truck and when you turn up the volume it takes away your breath and makes your ears hurt. it shakes things on the wall in the house from 150 ft away and the windshield flexes. he has it hooked to a hifonics 1600 rms amp and has it turned down below half because it is too loud

Pretty sweet sub

All in all this sub slams, best value I've ever got. It's an amazing sub, slams hard and stands up to the test, two of them and a p-1000 amp scored me 140.7 dBs.

SQ and SPL all in one woofer

i recently purchased 4 of these monsters and it was love at first sight. i currently have only one hooked up to my previous amp that's pushing out a mere 500w RMS to the CVX which is rated at 750 rms.
even at 500 rms the single CVX pounded like crazy! this woofer absolutely LOVES the low notes. it literally shook my entire car, the doors were flexing, the steering wheel was shaking, the whole dash was shaking, the center console was shaking, and i could even see the windshield wipers shaking.
i always thought kicker was mainly for loudness, but the CVX managed to get loud and sound great at the same time

overall, i'm very pleased with this product. it met and exceeded my expectations. i highly recommend the CVX, you will not be disappointed.

AWESOME!

I give this product stars across the board. I have 2 twelve inch CVX subs in my truck hooked up to two zx1500.1 amps. The bass makes all my passengers cringe. I put them in a custom built 3 cubic foot sealed box. My friends tell me they can feel me coming from half a mile away. Recommend this product if your looking to awaken your senses and bring your music to life. Ive had them for over a year now.

Bass Overload in 07 Ford Focus ZX3!

Have one of these in a Probox Turbobass single sub box powered by a DB Drive 600watt digital monoblock amp at 1ohm and it sounds great. I was lucky and got it for cheap. It's an absolute dream sub!

Kicker 10CVX122 - Works Great!

My experience with Sonic Electronix was great. I installed the unit into my box hooked it up and it worked perfect. A lot goes into making your subwoofer sound great. Your audio supply, your power in, your amp, the wiring. For the most part I would rate this sub as a great buy. I have not had a chance to fully use it to its max as my in-dash was recently stolen.

These subs are LOUD, and not for the faint of heart. my brother just dropped two of these in a 2.25 ft^3 box and they bang. just be careful so you dont get pulled over :) or shake peoples houses. GREAT sub, and im kinda a car audio snob. hit lowwww

These are awesome i bought the discontinued model a year ago, they were only 175 a piece. These are have SQ and can handle tons of power!!!! i have both of these running off of a JBL GTO 14001 amp its a monster amp!! And these things handle all the power nicely!!!! i have burnt out subs before in the past the way i like to play my rap music, but these seem to handle it very nicely, i don't really agree with the price of the newest model of these subs they seemed to increase of 100 dollars but all of the specs have stayed the same, there is no reason anyone should get the square L7's these handle just about the same amount of power and have better sq, these subs are basically the L7 just in a round version therefor due to the round factor the sound quality is better.... thank you kicker you have pleased me.

Amazing!

This is the best sub ever. I have it in the back of my truck and damn. Nothing hits lower and harder than this. Sealed box and 500 or 600 watts and your car will flex.

these subs are the best subs I've owned igot two 12 with a kicker zx1500 at 2 ohms in mi tahoe and dam this this is so loud i get complains from the neibors worth every penny …..

Boomin'

The Kicker CVX122 BOOMS. Absolutely slams in my boat in a sealed enclosure. I'd say it's not the most musical sub out there, but it has excellent slam if that's what you're after. Good stuff. Great build quality.

man these subs are the shiz. i got 2 of em in a ported box with a capacitor and a 2000 volfenhag amp, and lemme tell u this my rear view mirror shakes like no end along with my side mirrors. Bottom line i would def. recommend getten these subs!

great sounding sub. its clean crisp and clear. can handle lots of power, nothing wrong with them at all. i've had two wired up for almost 6 months. these things kick butt.

Straight Bangs!

I have two of these in a custom ported box with a 3000 watt diesel audio amp. had to get my alternator rebuilt because of all the power I'm pushing with my other amp on my jbl speakers and a kinetic battery and it straight bangs no joke i had to buy a whole car kit of dynamat just so my car wouldn't fall apart no joke i busted the hatch window in my saab 9-3 and my dad had to replace a heavy duty glass in there but he likes car audio so it wasn't no big deal he thumps is to ha. though these subs are 1500 pure watt subs and if you have em in the right box with a solid amp you will be the loudest on the block be ready.

I have had many different subs in my day. And I must say I always come back to kicker. They have the hardest hitting subs. these are the same as a kicker L7 just the round version. I have 2 in a ported box running 2.1 cubic ft per chamber on a Hifonics bx1606d. and wow sounds like 2 15's. make sure you have a good amp because these things like to dance. A++++

its underrated

Pros: I have 2 DVC 2ohm wired up and bridged down to 2ohm on a BXI1606D Hifonics, I set the subsonic filter to 18hz, and LPF at 100hz, the level set 70%. I drive through one of the mall that has enclosed parking. sound alarms goes off! You want to use Sealed Box w/ 1.0-1.3cu ft3 per chamber and push full rms on each sub.

beaten up the trunk

my cousin owns a pair of these bad boys power by a Kicker ZX1000.1, and they pound... he gets the cops called on him by a lady that lives no where near him. these are crazy and i highly recommend them.

Sickest subs

I have 2 of those babes in my trunk. I have owned 2 Alpine Type R's, 2 Re audio RE series. Listened Kicker VR's, JL W3s, Kicker L5, and Treos, ect. Any way if your looking for something that is cheap and worth the money this is the one I would suggest to go with it, I had Alpine Type R's and I think they are not as loud as Kicker VR's and the L5 is a good sub, but it only have 600 Watts of RMS, compare with the L7 this is the one to go with, every thing the same besides one is square, and one is round. If you want to livin loud just go with either one of those, looking for savings go with this one.

i love these subs. i have 3 12 inch cvx in my 98 mustang with 2 3000 watt pioneer amps thats over 4000 rms of power. i have 3 kinetik power cells. theremel heat rating of .004. trust me if u have a enough true power. real rated power, theese subs will blow ur mind. i never heard a car come close to mine

wow. that was the first thing i said when i heard the comp vx for the first time. i liked them so much i went and bought two and let me say I'm still impressed. i got the running in a ported box with a 3000 watt amp and boy does it pound. if you want hard hitting bass, go with the comp vx.

These subs are great. They can take the power you give them and put out serious sound. I have had no problems from these subs . . . simply they are great

whoa...

i just got 2 of these babies and let me tell you i wasnt expecting that much but i was wrong. i have 2 hooked up to a jl audio 1000/1 and a yellow top optima in a sealed dual 12" 1.0 cft per chamber and this thing pounds. ive been through apline type r's, jl w7's, kicker cvrs and i've finally found the sub ive been lookin for all my life. they get pretty loud and still sound good while they do it. i wired them up wrong the first time and one blew so i got them replaced and wired them correctly at 2 ohms with only 1000watts rms / by the 2. if you want that CLEAR (and i do mean clear) hard hitting bass then look no further and purchase these right now.

Good value dont give it too much power

Awesome speaker for the 3 days it lasted. bumped nice and hard in a ported enclosure. probably blew because it had too much power going to it.

Amazing

I just bought the package that came with the 750.1 kicker amp and this sub in a box. It sounds amazing!!!!!I first had a 10 inch L5 powered by a cheap 800 watt sony amp. I thought that was good, but when i got this with a good wiring kit, it made a huge difference. I experience the hard to breath situation that other people have been talking about. This sub is highly recomended by me. It was also a good deal tooo, 479.99 for this sub in a box with the amp. Must get!!!!!!!

2 12" CVX's

I would recommend these subs to anybody who wanted to be the loudest on their block, city, and probably state :D . I got two of these in a homemade custom slot ported box to 35Hz and roughly 2.15ft^3 per chamber with only about 350 - 400 watts rms goin to each of em and they put 15's to shame, this is said to be the baddest round speaker kicker makes and I have to agree. I have set off car alarms with my amp less than half up. I would say that these subs in my particular box easily hit 145 dB with the amp 1/2 up or less. If you want a lotta bump for not such a harsh price check these out, you won't be disappointed, however I would reccomend investing a little extra money in a good quailty box if you don't have the luxuries, know how, or time to build your own.

Amazing Product

I was in the market for a good sub. I only wanted to run one sub for space purposes and I read a lot of good things about this sub so I bought it. I was only running about 500rms to this sub in a ported box and it shook the hell out of my car. Loud, but more importantly nice clean bass. No distortion at all. It honestly got too loud for my own preferences but still sounded great. Amazing sub and I would recommend this sub to anyone.
