Kicker Comp D82

I used this to replace the factory Bose system sub in my Maxima. I used the dual 2 ohm voice coils in parallel with the factory amp off of the back of the factory sub to power it. I changed out the failing factory head unit with a DEH-80PRS (Highly Recommended!) and dropped the Kicker into the factory opening in the rear deck. The bass is much tighter and has more presence. The presence could be from the ability to separate the signal with the new head unit though. The factory sub amp powers the driver just fine, however I do believe the sub could handle more power therefore making it even cleaner. The single 8" will not set off car alarms or get you a ticket under city ordinances but it will make the listening experience more enjoyable. The Bose systems are meant to be dead flat with no spike in any frequency band. This is very nice but sometimes you want a little more bump and this does just that. I plan to add some more power to kick it a little harder when I want too.

CompD bass value, finally in dual voice coils!

I bought this to replace a factory subwoofer in a Chrysler Pacifica with the Intermezzo Infinity system. The factory amp has dual 2-ohm output to the sub channel, so I wanted to find an aftermarket with dual 2-ohm voice coils to preserve the sound. This Kicker played OK in the factory enclosure, but definitely underwhelmed when compared to my other Kicker Comp setups - I still have 2 C104s from 2007 going strong in my son's car. I bought an aftermarket pre-fab box and suddenly the 8" woke up and provided good low fill in the car - it's small enough to "shallow mount" in a truck box and lay flat in the back area without fear of being damaged. So far, so good.

Good quality product

Purchased an eight inch Kicker speaker for my SUV, received it within a few days(fast shipping), installation went well(fit the application) and the sound is much better that factory.

Big power in a small package

Bought two of these and built a box for under the back seat of my 09 Silverado. Running them off a Kenwood KAC5001PS 1000W amp. I have to say these subs are more than I ever expected. They give my factory system a perfect upgrade.
