great sound!!!

Great subs nice and loud even though i only have it powered at 800 peak and 300 rms cant wait to get a bigger amp to see what these puppies can really do. Bass is nice loud and clear and not only is it loud but it shakes everything in the supper lows which is surprising for a ported enclosure. Kind of spendy but really good sound. The brackets supplied to mount the enclosure are kind of hard to screw down in tight spaces because they are kind of small but they do work ive taken a few hard corners and it hasnt moved an inch.

Excellent Sound for Price

Pros:
If you are just simply looking for SPL (or loudness), then go with the Pioneer 12" or 15" Champion and/or PRO series subwoofers. But if you are looking for a good balance of SQ (sound quality) and SPL for less than $400... These are very good choice. Kicker has proven to be on the top of the list in SQ and these L3's are no different. These have the same surface areas as the 15" CVRs. These are basically 2 15" CompVR and less the price and comes with the box. Why pay the price of a pair of 15" CVRs and box when you can get these? Also 800WRMS is plenty of power for me. 800W will get you about 122 dB SPL at 1 meter. The L7s will give you 700 more RMS handling watts but that extra 700 more watts will only get you about an extra 3 dB + much more $$ and bigger Amp. The box design is very nice. There is no way I could have designed anything this nice.

Cons: Box is very big. If you have a small trunk or need something small in your trunk. These are not it. I have a Very nice size trunk and I can barely squeeze them in.

Overall: I'm fairly happy with the purchase. I feel it's a good value buy. I wish the box was a little bit smaller but that would require me making my own custom sealed box.
