OK for a while...

Sounded good at first, nice bass. But after about 2 mos. one blew of a regular deck min distortion. The other one is now ripping at 4 mos. Ok for noobs would recomend for FRONT ONLY or install bass blockers if not using subs/amp

Great replacements

I bought these for my daughter's 98 Civic. The original speakers rotted out in the doors. These sounded great when I combined them with a new Alpine receiver. You could tell the difference between these and they're still stock rear speakers. No contest, the response on these were better through the entire range.

Crisp and clean

These are very crisp sounding speakers that can handle the mids and support the bass without any decrease in sound quality.

Kicker speakers

One of them blew in the first week. But the other three are fine. That one just goes in and out of blown stages.

Great Sounding Speakers!

I replaced my shot speakers on my 91 miata with these with the help and suggestions from a Sonic staff member who was super helpful in helping me make a decision based on expectation and price point.

They are solid speakers that fit perfectly without having to augment anything from the original fit. They sound great and I suggest them to anyone looking for replacements or upgrades.

Great Item

These speakers are very clear and sound great. I have a 200 watt planet audio amp hooked up to them for the past 6 months and sound just as good now as the day I installed them.

Couldn't be happier

Purchased 6 months ago and still as clear as the day I put it in. Controls mids beautifully but also has enough power to give lows without too much rattle. I haven't bought an amp yet so I'm sure I could make these sound 100 times better, however they sound amazing to me anyways. Would recommend these to anyone who is looking for a cost efficient way to improve their overall car.

Good for fill.

I've been running these in the rear deck for a while now, just to get some rear fill, (The quality side of things is coming from a set of Kicker QS Components, which just sound awesome!) and they actually put out a surprising amount of volume, fairly clean. Hold up like champs to being over-powered, which I accidentally did for about 5 minutes.

The only complaint I have is that the passive crossover is kinda iffy.

Ive seen this product for more on other places, a pro is that the price is better here.

Overall im happy with my purchase.

Crystal Clear Sound

These speakers work great. I only ordered two speakers and have them in the back of my 2000 Maxima. I kept two stock speakers to see how the combination would work. The power that comes from those little speakers is really amazing. I would recommend these speakers to a friend because of the amazing sound and ease of use.

Nice sound

This is a good set of speakers. They sound great, especially when I am on the phone. I have some hearing loss and do not have to turn these up as loud as usual because the sound is so good.

These speakers sounded great when i first hooked them up to my head unit, but that wasn't nothing compared to when I added an amp to power them talk about a difference these things really come alive with about 60 watts rms to them wow great job kicker!

Great, but.....

Huge improvement over last set of mids/highs. Handles power from sub-par head unit well. Decent overall sound for entry level DS series!

The but is buy the older KS series now and get a better speaker for $10 less. Wish I could send mine back!!!!

Alright speakers

These were okay, decent bass for 6 1/2" speakers. I didnt really notice the highs that much. Clarity was decent, I was not really impressed by these but for the price I guess they work.

Great for the price.

Considering these speakers only cost me $40, they are great. I do not have a monster system. I have these DS600, Kicker KS 6x9, and an Eclipse amp 60x4. Together it sounds great. If money is no problem for you, I would suggest something a little higher quality, but these sound great with what I have in a single cab truck. No complaints from me. Great bang for your buck!

Work fine - good cheap replacement for OEM

These mounted easily and look fine in my older Miata. Surprisingly good sound for cheap speakers.

Great speakers!

For the money these speakers are hard to beat,and Sonic is the best. They helped me replace my failing OEM speakers and everytime im driving and listening to my country music i pat myself on the back for buying these!

Kicker DS60

I own a pair of these and they sound great ,but recently one
Of the tweeters on one speaker popped and It makes a rattle noise.
Overall I would recommend them the price isn't that bad and thyere great speakers.

good price & shipping

Sounds good, a lot better than stock, it could actually sound better if its a real 6.5". It's only 6" so left a little hole on my speaker mounts so the bass is not that great but the clarity of the sound is awesome.

4 Kicker 6.5's In 04 S10

I bought 4 of these for my 2004 s10 I would recommended bass blockers for them if you have a sub they don't handle the lows all too well but the highs are crisp and mid range response is excellent So far after 6-7 months they are still going strong. Also I have 2 10 inch subs running at around 500 RMS and these speakers reach out and give you vocals even during HIGH bass songs None of the BOOOOOM and then hear the words after the bass GREAT SYSTEM 4 6.5 Kickers and 2 Kicker 10's to Kicker amp shakes my little s10 right along.

Good sound

I've got an old truck and this is the only speakers I can fit in it. I've had several other speakers in this truck over the years and these sound better than any of them.

sick speakers!

I had these installed in my car all 4 replaced, and it was an excellent decision, as my music came alive. Before, the stock speakers just couldn't do it even with a Kenwood eXcelon head unit. now it sounds like a concert in my car, its so sick.

these are all around good speakers. great for the price. They don't handle the lows to well when u crank them up they get a little distorted. otherwise i think they are great. I would recommend these.

Kicker DS600

Excellent mid level speaker, mounted in the door. Had to drill new holes for the mounts but that wasn't any problem. Sounds great.

Great speakers for the money!

I installed these speakers as a modest upgrade to the stock system in my 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe. They went in the front doors in place of the stock mids. The highs are clearer, the lows are extended, and all sound is not slightly distorted compared to the factory speakers. I didn't know how really bad the old speakers were until I put these in. They went in with no drilling or other modification of any kind. Even after putting in sound deadening, these were an improvement. Next step is replacing the rears with another pair of these. I thought about replacing the head unit too, but just replacing the speakers has helped so much, I'll keep the factory head unit. It works fine.

Great sound quality for the price, Great mids and Highs. Lows could be punchier but thats what a sub is for. Louder than the stock Subaru speakers we were replacing

I have these in my pick up along with some Kicker 4" replacing the factory 4x6"s in the rear. Kicker is a fine example of craftsmanship. I have kicker everything from speakers to subs to wires. If only they made head units.....

Amazing Price and Amazing Performance

I recently purchased 4 of these speakers for my 99 Blazer to replace the factory speakers that were still installed in it when I picked up the truck. Just powered by a Pioneer head unit they are super clean and can handle max volume with the proper adjustment. Don't expect these to put out the bass of a sub by any means but they certainly do give a good bump. Mids and highs are super clear and never get tinny or muddy sounding. For the price these are a steal for the level of performance you get from them. Anyone that hears my system thinks I have 3-4 times as much money invested in it than I actually do. If you're looking to actually listen to your music, versus rattling your vehicle to pieces with bass, you would be happy with just these speakers alone. I know I am.

Niiiiccceee!

I just got the speakers in yesterday and installed them in my crappy 1991 accord! These speakers honestly sound great i am very impressed! Very clean vocals even at high volumes im very impressed with these! Thanks sonic for the great prices! I should be ordering some 6x9's for the back soon!

Clear and Crisp

Beast Mode Speakers

these speakers I put in my Eclipse and they beat pretty good am guessing i cant really tell about the beat because I have subs but the clarity and high pitch that they produce are amazing. these are worth getting for sure!

Not that great.

This speakers last me quit a while but then one of them messed up and wouldn't work properly. So they will last but not for long.

These speakers are pretty darn good. They sound really good in my car. Compared to my stock speakers, these are amazing!!! The bass is not too bad either. I listen to these every single day, I love them!

Great start!

I purchased these, as well as a matching pair of DS 6x9's for my rear deck. I needed something to keep up with my 12's in the trunk. These kickers definitely do the job, with very little distortion might I add. For this price, these speakers are a great start to someone looking for a system on a budget. I highly recommend them.

nice front speakers

I was doing a full kicker install for my buddy and installed a kicker zx700.5 and these bad boys in the doors, with kicker 6X9's in the rear before i put the sub in i tested out the speakers. These were amazing. my neighbor came over and told me the music was shaking her room. awesome for just coaxial.

only problem is they only take 50wrms, which is fine but be careful when setting gains. if you give it to much they sounds fuzzy. Stick to recommended rms and your fine.

Great Speakers

I was upgraded to these speakers for free from the ds60 when my payment got messed up. These speakers look great and have great highs and lows. I bought the dynamat speaker kit as well, and they sound super clear even when i turn them up loud. I am only running one kicker 12" cvr sub and i dont feel they need to be amped, but clarity fades a little when the volume is past 48 (because my head unit isnt that great, and i dont have them amped). I truthfully dont even have the room in my car for more subs or another amp. so, if you plan on going really big with a system, just make sure you amp them.

overall they are a great price and value, and i highly reccomend them to anyone.
