Great For The Price

I don't have an amp on them and they are loud. They do just what I want them to do. Not the clearest sound in the world but great for the price.

Solid speakers

Great speakers! If you have subs there is no need to purchase and amp to power these, but these are clearly made to be powered by an amplifier. These speakers sound great even with everything up on the 240 watt head unit and no distortion. The price isn't bad, you won't be disappointed.

Kicker all day!

I got these along with matching kicker 4" speakers in my car. No amp just running them off the heady and they sound great together nice and clear. You just cant go wrong with Kicker, and especially for the prices that Sonic Electronix sells em for. Easy to install, im satisfied and definitely recommend this.

Grat Sound & Value

These speakers were mounted in the ft. door panels of my 09 Tacoma Access cab truck(speakrs required mounting adapters for $10). I added an adjustable EQ & 200 watt rms per channel amp. These speakers sound great- absolutely blew away the stock junk that I had in there.

Great 6x9

I purchased this along with kicker 6.5 for a customer. I must admit that for the price it can't be beat.the customer loved it and he saved tons of money

Kicker DS6930

I have these hooked up to a 4 channel kicker zx350.4 and these will bang. They actually have a decent amount of bass for 6x9's and sound really good once paired up with some subs. The price is great...the sound is great....this website is great! Thanks Sonic

Happy with my upgrade

Put these in my camaro and were a nice upgrade. Pros- easy install and nice sound over the blown ones I had before, decent price. Cons- I couldn't use the grills the way the speakers mount in my vehicle.

Great speakers

I had a bit of a hard time installing them on my rear deck lid where the stock speakers were located. Once in I turned the car on I turned the music up and they sound clear as day, definitely worth the investment. The butt connectors were discarded as they didn't want to crimp and I had to use wire twist caps, that was my only issue, besides that I love them.

Great Speakers for the Price

Wanted something to just fill in the rear being the rear were blown to my surprise purchase these and it did more then that. For the price these sound great and handles the 80rms I am throwing at them with ease and has been for over 4 years. I Would recommend them to anyone.

Nice 6x9's they really do bump.

I installed these in a 96 ext. dodge ram 1500 doors. Did not research fitment on these prior to purchase. had to make 1/2 inch spacers so speakers didn't hit power window tracks other wise install wasn't bad. door panel is a little snug against speaker but man do these thump and sound good. still have to install rear speakers almost don't need to though very happy with what it sounds like right now. running these on 2 channels of a 4 channel 4 ohm spl fx1200 amp with some efx 6.5's on the other 2 channels. didn't know how to rate these as durability because just installed otherwise everything else seems very nice. there's enough loudness and bass coming out of these that people turn heads when i drive pass them .

These are perfect for anyone wanting really good quality 6 by 9s. I have these and 6.5 kickers hooked up 2 my headunit and 2 15inch kicker comps hooked up 2 the kicker zx500.1 I also boght from sonic!!!!!! Kicker is quality and Sonic Electronics is the shizznit!! The Kicker DS6930 6 by 9 is an excellent speaker. I have it hooked up to a Eclipse 4 channel 75 watts per channel and can take alot of power. I owned it for 3 months and have not had any problems

I have these being run off of a 600 watt Kenwood AMp in my 300ZX with 2 10's in the back ran by a 2400 watt amp. These have crazy good sound quality. Looks and sounds good!

ok speakers had one blow

I got these speakers and installed them in my 97 grandprix . Had them in for 2 days before the pass side speaker blew out. Im running them at max rms watts. They sound ok for the price range but my front speakers overpower them easy so they kind of get lost. Decent bass. I would recommend these if you are running just the power from your head-unit. I love kickers and I run 2 s12 l7 subs

Great Performance

The speaker are great sounding and i was able to put them in my self with no difficulty. Awesome all around, a must buy!

impressive clarity

I have had JBL and Sony Xplode 6x9's (roughly in the $70-$90 value) in the past and neither brand seemed to have the clarity these kickers have. I've usually struggled to get enough high end for my liking, but with these combined with my Pioneer to turn down treble in system before but these combined with my Pioneer Premier FH-P800BT head unit can actually be too much. Don't know how much of it is due to Pioneer unit vs. Kicker speakers but nontheless they are nice.

Only downside I have is that when I crank it they seem to flutter. I'm not a stereo guru so I don't know if its something easily fixable if reconfigured. Unit produces 22W RMS / 50W Peak x 4 channels and these are rated far beyond that so too much power shouldn't be the issue. I don't need to make my ears bleed much so I don't have much need for investigating it further. perhaps one day I'll add an amp but for now standard use is just fine.

Very nice speakers, nice bass, feels like you almost have subs in the trunk, very good sound quality considering the poor sound staging setup in Honda's. Very good speakers for the price.A+++

Excellent 6x9

I currently own these and hook them up to a amp and these babys will scream. The Bass is soild for 6x9s and the Mid - Highs are clear. Glad I replaced my pioneer 6x9 with these.

Kicker DS6930 6x9

These babies rock! I use them for mids in my system. Clariity, is REMARKABLE. I would recommend them fully to anyone, Period! They work well as a primary also at full range.. Unbelieveably effiecient power usage! But hey.. It's Kicker..

Good buy

I've had the speakers for about 6 months now and have had no problems with them. They produce bass pretty well and hit the highs good to. Awesome speakers.

If you are buying your first system upgrade I recomend going with these.

Nice!!!!!

This speakers are great. The sound is great, and as soon as you handle them you'll know, they mean business. The magnet is a little on the large side, but not to bad, they fit great in the factory hole, and had no problems putting the factory back cover over top of them.. They were worth every penny, and acutally I saved a few, everywhere else was at least 10 to 20 dollars more. So I am a happy man, good tunes and money to spare.

These are the Best

These are by far the best 6x9's I have ever owned.. Be careful with installation tho, the magnets on these are huge and literally miss my power windows by under a centimeter.

I have these paired with an Alpine CDA 9886 Deck, and two Kicker C10s and my system bumps.

good for the money

I just recently bought and installed these speakers in the rear end of my car. And I would have to agree that these do "bump" quite a bit. The seat doesn't shake like a subwoofer would make it but you can feel some vibration when the bass hits. Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase and would recomend it to anyone that enjoys kicker products.

Not too bad at all

I would recommend these to anyone who wants a simple and rather cheap upgrade from your stock speakers. I have these mounted in the doors of my 07 Toyota Tacoma, not even running and amp to them and they get loud as hell. I've never had a distortion problem. The sound quality is really amazing for the price.

Extra add-on

I have a pair of these in my 03 Pontiac vibe..it's a hatch with 6/12 stock all around so I put these in a box and mounted them to the top of my sub box.. The perfect blend on quality and quantity. The perfect commercial speaker for the price.. Running off a kenwood kac 628 and they thump and yet scream at the same time. Great buy. I Would recommend.

The Kicker names speaks for itself

These speakers have good bass reflex and add the much needed mid-bass to my system. I have the matching pair in my doors as well, they're all 4 paired up with a 4 channel 2000 Watt Lanzar amp, and they sound really good. I'm sure they'll sound even better once I add a better named 4 channel amp to my set-up, but for now that cheap up does its job.
These speakers are just another addition to a long line of great Kicker products.

Awesome for the price

I have these in the back of my 2005 Civic and they are great speakers, they give my setup a great mid-bass response. Just make sure you have enough room if you have scissor springs I had to cut mine off because the magnet on these were so big.

Good Stuff

I like them. I used them in the doors of my FJ Cruiser. They bring a much fuller sound to the front of the cabin. Would recommend them be amped if you are looking for thumping base. Decent sound for the money. Quickly shipped as well.

i was about to buy a pioneer 6x9 but chose this because it was cheaper and i wanted to know how much bass the speaker has. I am surprised how good it sounds with highs and lows. I just got it today so i didnt want to max it out, the volume at 20 and low +3 and the bass hits.

6 years and finally gave up the ghost

Had a pair of these in my 2007 dodge ram for 6 years now. They finally bit the dust when I did an amp upgrade. They were sounding a bit rough for about a year. I would recommend these if you do not plan on attaching them to a high powered amp, most powered head units will sound stellar with these.

Great upgrade over factory speakers

I purchased a set of DS65, DS693, and DS35 speakers to replace my son's worn-out factory speakers. The DS693 is an exact fit for the rear panel, but the screw holes did not line up exactly so I had to drill two more holes to fully secure each one. They hide behind the factory grille so thieves won't be tempted. There was a vast improvement over the factory setup, the speaker can easily handle anything a factory radio dishes out and feels right at home with the signal my Pioneer head unit supplies. The bass response is more than enough for the average listener, in a big trunk these work well as free-air woofers. So far, the price is right and they exceed his expectations for a first system. Sonic is the fastest, I ordered on Tuesday and had them installed by Thursday. From jazz to hip hop, these speakers do a great job - for the price I don't expect swivel tweeters but that's the only thing missing.

Great speakers! Good bass, and great overall value. The magnet on these things is HUGE! Make sure you look and make sure there's going to be room to install these. Fit perfectly in my '97 Pontiac sunfire.

Kicker 11DS693

This speaker is quite an improvement from the stock speakers in my Hyundai. A lot more volume, tone, and especially bass!

The chart said they were a drop in replacement for my 2010 Accent, which is mostly true. All the screw holes don't quite line up, but you can get 3 in and the speaker isn't going anywhere.

I'd recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a reasonably priced upgrade with great sound!

Good speakers

I bought a pair of this speakers October 2010, it has not has any problem so far. The sound quality is quite good for the price like this. The only issue I have is that the speaker is quite big for my Toyota Camry, I needed to modified my car a little bit before it can fit in.

Great Speakers

I installed these in my 97 Honda Civic Coupe. These speakers are so much better than the stock speakers. They have a clean sound and nice bass with my new Kenwood KDC-HD545U. Installing rear deck speakers in a 97 Civic Coup is a very big project. After half the rear interior was ripped out of the car I was able to get to the rear deck. They fit like a glove. They just dropped right in. I would say these speakers were worth the extra work. Great product and quick delivery, I would buy from Sonic Electronix.com again.

A perfect match!

I added these speakers paired with my Polk db651's and being powered by a Kicker 700.5 amp. Let me say that this was a match made in heaven. The kickers are rated at 70W RMS and the Polks at 60W RMS with the kicker amp pushing 70W RMS/channel. This combination was 'perfect'. The perfect blend of warmth, clarity, and precision. They are low enough to pick up a low mid-bass, mid enough to hear the warmth in the voices and guitars, and high enough to hear the crispness of hi-hats and voices! These are by far some of the best 6"x9"s on the market!! Not to mention, some of the best prices!!!

These suckers bang! For a 6X9 speaker I am very impressed by there handling and performance. Impressive sound too because they are a three way. Kicker definitely knows what they are doing. Superb Speakers

These have been the best speakers I've ever owned. They have great bass, and have never distorted the sound no matter how loud I've put them. I would recommend them to anybody.

I installed these in my commuter car. They sound great running on a cheap Pioneer head unit. The highs are great and the mids/ lows do not distort compared to other 6 x 9 I have seen and tried over the years. I would definitely recommend this product.

I replaced my stock 6x9 speakers in my 2008 Impala with theese bad boys. They sound great. I still need to hook up my Kicker 200watt 4 channel amp, because these speakers cry out for more power. The best bang for the buck, quality sound for a fraction of the cost with other dealers. Sonic Electronix is the only place i will ever purchase my stereo equipment from.

They sound great in my cavalier but i had to modify the holes so they could fit. Just need to buy a small amp and they will be even better.

I think I got a lemon

For the first week they sounded great then one of them started making a slight rattling. That's just my experience though a buddy has had them for almost a year and his still sound great.

Good for the price

These are great speakers for the price and look good too. They have clear highs and lows, but hte bass really just wasn't what I expected. For a speaker that can get down to 30Hz I was expecting more. The bass is accurate, but just didn't thump the way I though. When I turn up the bass on the amp it sounded kinda muddy and distorted, but hey that's what a sub is for! But overall for the price you can not pass these up, durable and good looking, get em

Great when amplified

I used these to replace the factory Boston's in my 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT 8 front and rear and they fit nicely with the addition of spacers behing the mounting brackets. They sound great hooked up to my amp and have minimal to no distortion at high levels. Great value at the price I paid.

HELP

I bought theses speakers, 4 of them. I have them connected to a Sony dsx-s100. At high volume, certain songs will have a horrible high distortion.

I can't really say enough about the DS line of speakers. I've used a LOT of these from the 5-1/4" to the 6x9" and they rock! They can also handle a respectable amount of power from a discrete amplifier, as well as sound incredible off of just deck power. If you really want them to shine though, put them on on amp, you won't be disappointed! Great bass and highs. For the price, these can't be beat!

Sounded great till 1 blew

They sounded great at first. I've always loved and been impressed with Kicker products overall. I just wouldn't run more than 50 watts or a headunit amp only to these though. Was running them on a 75x2 RMS amp with 120hz HP and no gain turned up... one of them just couldn't take it after 5 months. The magnets were a bit large for my install in a buick to clear the trunk tension springs also.

Great SQ

I have these in the rear deck of my 93 lincoln town car. They are hooked up to an MB quart 4 channel and perform great. The midbass is awesome and the sub-bass is a bit lacking, but I have my HPF set to 80 hertz.... that's what subwoofers are for anyway! For the price, these are definitely worth every penny!!

Great buy, great product

I would recommend this to anyone who is tired of crappy stock speakers. I have an '01 xterra that has been kept in good shape, and I drive the heck out of it. Just this little speakers add a little bump but keep the highs and mids really clear. Couldn't be happier.

Great speaker at a Low price Kicker DS6930

This set of speakers was installed in a Saab with the stock radio still in the car, seems like the OEM head unit had about 25 watts per channel, and it drives the speakers fine, great low price on a $100 set of speakers.

I purchased these, as well as a matching pair of DS speakers for the front of my Honda Accord. My stock speakers simply weren't enough to keep up with the two 12's I had in the trunk. These kickers are a great buy. They put out a lot of sound, with very little distortion. For this price, they make a great starting package for anyone looking for a system on a budget.

Great Product 4 the money!

Bought these for my 02 cavalier and just wired to my head unit they performed okay....but once I hooked them up to my JL 2 channel amp their true power was unleashed.Wow what a difference....speakers sound incredible once hooked up to my amp...

Good for value

I would recommend this speaker for anyone who wants a lot of punch out of a small box. It can't quite handle the power it says, I would recommend buying a 400 watt amp or smaller, when I first hooked it up to my 500.1 kicker amp I turned it up about 75% and almost blew it!! So I have the amp at 55% and it sounds great. The reason I bought this speaker is cuz it takes a small box and will fit perfect in my wakeboard boat!!

exceptional quality and price

Sounds Great!!!!

I received 2 pair of these today and i have them in 6x9 boxes. They sound good with just the radio and no amp but a amp is coming soon. They will have better sound quality with an amp cause the radio isnt putting out the RMS of the speaker. They would have better response if not in such a small enclosure. Don't get me wrong tho, they don't sound like crap at all but rather "handcuffed" with the way I have them installed. Can't wait to release the inner "beast" when the 800w amp comes in.
