pretty nice

i have these in my 98 jeep grand cherokee limited and yea they are really nice they have a suprising amount of bass for bein only 6 1/2's and they have really loud highs they could almost be misktaken for a component set but yea like the other guy said distortion is a concern at high volumes but only if u have the bass up on them if ur gonna turn it up loud turn down the bass and they will get pretty dam loud so yea i highly recomend these speakers if u have subs but even if u dont have subs i still recomend these speakers jus dont use them for bass

Great Speakers!

Sonic Electronix, easy company to deal with. Item arrived fine and nicely protected.

The speakers. awesome. treble. - not so much bass, but the sub takes up for what they lack.
I would highly recommend these speakers.

(side note) small rattle from the grill that sits over the top of speakers. loc tite fixed in 2 seconds.

Great Speakers!

So i finally bit the bullet and put these speakers in my car. I had been looking at them for a while and finally went for it. They are amazing! They replaced my stock factory speakers and wow... huge difference. Seriously, i never realized just how much aftermarket speakers help until i put these in. They are loud and clear. They produce a really clean sound. Plus the installation was easy.

I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone.

Kicker KS650, sounds great!

I installed these in my Express G3500 van 6 months ago when the stock paper ones finally failed. Much better! Needless to say, there is no comparison between stock and Kicker. Kicker is way better

excelent

I just got a set of these to replace my stock ones in my 02 lancer. the sound quality is amazing and the clarity of the highs is ridiculous. even though there's a coaxial the bass is also substantial. very good speakers for the money

Okay

Installed these a few days ago up front in a mid size sedan. Like the other guys said..capable of getting SUPER loud at low bass. But its pretty hard to get a song with a beat bumpin loud. Super easy to install though. Kicker is a good company.

Great clarity!

Installed in 2000 Blazer with minumum effort. Sizing a littler off but with some minor modifications worked nicely. Will buy again for other after-market installs.

Great Deal

I had factory speakers in my 2001 truck. My son has been driving lately, blew the speakers. Had the Kicker KS650 installed about four months ago. Huge difference in the sound, no distortion, I like a lot of base for Heavy metal music, sounds KICKER. I only replaced the front speakers, but probably going to replace the back speakers as well, same brand, no doubt.

excelent for the price

just bought these and some cvts.... couldnt ask for anything better... and for you guys that talk about distortion trying to put a lot of bass through these is going to make them distort that's why i have a high pass filter that i have cutting off the bass frequencies below 80 hz

pretty good, but not the best you can do (for under $100)

I was looking at 6.5" speakers for my old honda civic and trying to find a satisfactory pair for under $100. I tried out several pair in the 50-100 range, including sony, eclipse, pioneer, infinity, jensen, alpine, etc.

I stumbled upon the kicker brand by accident as they had the KS6850 in a display/demo board at one of the stores I visited. I thought they sounded great and were able to take more volume without distorting. then I realized they had an open box sale on a pair for $30 off.

once I got them home and installed them, I was pleased (for the price I paid). they do have excellent clarity and highs and the bass is substantial for a 6.5. they have a pretty wide frequency range of 43Hz to 21000 Khz. A lot of 6.5s can't go lower than about 50 Hz on the low end. my only (minor) complaint is that these are rated for 65 watts RMS, my stereo puts out 50 watts RMS, and yet I can make the speakers distort/start to flap with bass if I turn the head unit up loud enough.

oh, and the grills for the speakers are terribly ugly :)

but hey- overall, I think these are a great buy. don't think I coulda done much better for $75.

replaced door speakers in Dodge 1500

Speakers are good for the money, but they show how badly I need to upgrade my rear side panel and front dash speakers along with the POS aftermarket head unit.

Great Speakers

Installed these in my 02 blazer. They sound pretty good. They hit the low notes really well. But distortion is a concern when turned up loud. Overall i wish i went with somethin else in this price range but ill have to live with these for now.

Extraordinary!

These speakers stand by the Kicker name all the way. Excellent highs and pounding, low bass. The only downfall is that these cannot put out too much power. Just one set will shake mirrors like a low watt subwoofer, but pop when given too much headunit power. Regardless, these are the way to go for a low budget system.

best 6.5's

Solid bass for the size, easy installation, fantastic mid-range. No distortion at high volume- they get LOUD too.

good speakers if you know the diference between rms and peak

this head unit does not put out 50 watts rms, it puts out 50 watts peak. typical rms output for a deck is 18-22 watts rms, read the manual. Of course your speakers will distort at high volumes when you're not running an external amp. Good head unit, though.

Kicker KS650

The kicker ks650 really rock, they can take whatever we throw at them and still hold up . They are possibly the best speakers I have owned.
