These speakers are intense. They hit hard and sound clear. I have the bass on my head unit turned all the way down and they still hit hard. These puppies have a real good sound. I used them to replace my stock Delco 6" x 9" and just ... yeah.

Very good speaker top quality

These fit great in my 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 with Infinity sound (factory) the highs are loud and clear, and the lows shake my mirrors it's crazy for the 6x9 to put out that much bass Kicker has done it again good speakers. Beats my factory Infinity sound quality by a mile happy I got them would buy again for another vehicle. Nice job Sonic Electronix for good prices and fast shipping cheaper than F*** or B***B** :)

Very good

I bought these things and hooked them up to an aftermarket head unit and wow was I surprised how well they pound with what little power they get. I also bought the 5-1/4s and the whole system preforms beyond my expectations. You play the right song and they will hit hard.

Big sound in a small package. Super efficient and can handle whatever power you throw their way. Throw these into your system and focus on your subs cause you won't have to worry about your mids and highs! I purchased these for outdoor situations and they handle moisture great. So good i hooked up 4!

At first I bought one set of these and put them in the rear of my 04 hyundai tiburon to relace the paper cone JBL's it came with. They were so good i decided to cut holes in my door panels and install a pair in the front with dynamat as well. Now i have a polk audio 4 channel pushing 100W to each one. They live up to their specs and more. SOOOO LOUD! I swear to god if i turn them up all the way with the bass on like 2, after i turn it down my hearing is very dull from the excessive volume. Seriously consider these if youre in the market for 6x9s.

these are great speakers, they get very loud and they have a lot of bass. i had jbl power series before these and the highs are about the same but the kickers have more bass and it sounds more natural great speaker i feel like im at a concert.

Amazing Speakers!

These speakers are great, before i had them powered just by my Dual deck but i recently hooked them up to my amplifier just to test them since its only a mono-block, and they slammed like my subs were connected to the amp. they can get insanely loud for the price. i only wish that i had more money to be able to always have an amplifier hooked up to them. Great product Kicker! Sonic is an amazing company!

These speakers are awesome

First off these speakers are awesome! I needed to find back speakers to even out my higher notes, since my subs drowned out all the highs, these did the job! I don't even have an amp hooked up to them and they still sound awesome. Another thing, the magnets on these speakers are huge! I man they barely fit in my car because of them. I would deffinetly recomend these speakers and will probably buy them again in the future.

These kicker speakers can really take a serious beating.
The highs are crystal clear. The bass is HUGE! People tell me that they think I have a sub woofer in the trunk.
I have these speakers powered by a alpine amp. For the money you cannot go wrong. Trust me.

Ok I was wrong all it needed to do was break in. I have them power by just a pioneer deck and once i gave em awhile to break in I noticed a TREMENDOUS difference in sound! I am now very pleased with the speakers and plan on finishing out my system with some ks model 6.5 and ks model kicker tweeters. VERY PLEASED KICKER!

These speakers get loud and have a good amount of bass. Would definitely recommend these. Also have a sturdy build to them. Hook them up to an amp and they will kick.

Great Speakers!!!

These speakers absalutly rock the hit the high bass tones well and with these babys you won't need any tweeters these things if put on an amp can match almost any subs you've got!!!!

Great for the money

These were a replacement for my speakers in the rear deck of my charger. The screw holes lined up perfectly and there was adequate space between my speakers and my sub box. These things sound good off the factory wiring but they really shine when amped up. (kicker 400.4 amp). My car sounded awesome and one day my amp for my subs shorted and took both subs with it (rockford p500.2). I was upset because I was about to leave on a road trip but as soon as I started driving I realized that these things put out some bass. Most people that got in my car thought I still had subs. You can call bs if you want. I finally blew one almost 2 years later which was a good run but I would highly recommend for entry to mid level systems or maybe someone who wants some nice lows without taking up trunk space.

Pretty good speakers

These were my first pair of speakers I've purchased. I had a couple friends who were kicker fans so I decided to give these a shot after my stocks blew. Everyone swears I have subs! These hit that good! The quality is clear and the bass is there. I cant wait to have these hooked up to an amp and see the real power!

Banging speakers

This was my first purchase from sonic and I R pleased. I believe the speakers took about 1 week to arrive but I was emailed that they had left the factory (cali.) in less than 2 days. *********** retails these at 180 (price I last checked was 6/29/09). Sonic had these on sale for 80, keep in mind that these are higher quality 3 way speakers. Banging price, at least compared to thier comparator, and "That's all I have to say about that"

Good sound quality!

This product provide a very good sound quality especially for those who wants some bass in their car!! The only bad thing about this product is the plate that covers the speaker came out because of the sun light. Other than that, I recommend this pair of speakers, worth the price really!

kicker enough said

I bought these when they came out, I have a 50wx2 alpine hooked up to them an gotta say they sound great as for Pioneers being better no way there just on a different level! Had a pair of polka before an even those didn't compare I'm impressed for jus being a coaxial speaker! Good price even though I had to pay full price 2 years ago but still well worth it!!!

Great value!

Great speakers overall for a factory replacement.. Installed them in a 2003 Mini Cooper with the stock head unit, they sound much better than the OEM speakers they replaced. Better sound from the same head unit using the same settings. I'd recommend them!

Great Bass

I bought these because I wanted better sound in my FJ Cruiser. I needed speakers that delivered great bass and that what I got. I am really happy with this product.

Gets the job done.

I have these in their own Panda wedge boxes and they fill my 89 landcruiser with lots of amazingly crisp highs. Mids are satisfactory but I'm sure they arent spectacular because they are in their own small boxes. They work pretty well with a sub but they start to give up around 200 hz and lower.

KICKER just keeps making great stuff

I got these in my 03 Grand Am. And when I turn my amp off to my subs and just listen to my music loud. You can hear the voices perfectly and without it sounding like crap.

You would be foolish not to get these.

Just purchased the Ks693 speakers. Am very pleased with them, they bring out the bass great, as well as the mids and highs. Definite fan of kicker. A+. Only con was slow shipping.

John's Kicker 6x9

These speakers are clean, loud, and put out good bass without an external amp! So I would recommend these. They have really clean highs...I can just imagine if I hooked up an amp to them. I have them in a 99 Chevy S-10 Blazer. Good purchase

A sound steal

At this price these speakers are a steal just bought them of this site 5 day's ago and they sound amazing. You cant beat this deal these 3 way's speakers are so clear and the base is hit's hard enough to shake my rear view mirrow. Also fit Perfect in my 6X9 spots this is a good deal all Together i would Recommend these speakers.

Im surprised

I put these in my car my high expectatons. They hit the highs very good but for some reason, im not hearing much bass from them. I have subs in my car so they are perfect, but when i disconnect my amp so im just using the speakers, im not hearing my bass. Overall, this product hits highs really good and is easily installed. Great product.

heavy bass

I upgraded from my stock 6x9s to the KS693 in the front and rear of my 06 Camry, and man that was the best decision I ever made! Heavy bass and crisp highs/lows. The only down side was that I had to shave down the interior speaker grills on the door front door panels because the KS693s stick out a lot. But overall, I'm super satisfied.

2011 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab, Great Upgrade!

After installing and not having to brake the bank; the sound quality vs the cost is a great upgrade and recommend to all. I have Kicker IX500.4 amp pushing a set of Kicker KS693 6"x9" 3-way, Kicker KS6.2 6 1/2" 2-way with tweeters, and a Pioneer receiver Avic X950BH.

AMAZING!

These speakers are amazing. They hit pretty hard and are very crisp. I have them in th rear deck of my car and my friends sitting in the back nearly go deaf when I raise the volume to about 3/4. I can't wait until I hook them up to an amp!

cool sounding/looking speakers

These went into the doors of 98 Dodge Ram.
They are very deep speakers because of the magnets !! be sure to measure depth and dimensions before buying !! I ended up ordering some spacers and DIY jobbing the door panels to make them fit.
In this application I'm very disappointed with the bass quality, but that's probably due to their location and mounting..
The highs are screaming off my 100w x 2 amp and mids sound rich .
If these were in a hatchback or above trunk they would be amazing.

Was a very good choice for my budget.

Clear

These are the clearest speakers out their. They can get as loud as your amp will let them. you can hear the words perfect 50 feet from my truck.

Completely dissatisfied

I had two five year old pioneer 6x8 3ways to be replaced with the KS693. Both the Pioneer and the Kicker speakers (ks693 6x9 3 way) were powered by a Rockford Fosgate two channel amp. Well I'm dissatisfied because the kicker put out less bass then pioneers did. I am very surprised by this mostly by looking at the two speakers side by side, the kicker is far larger and has a massive magnet on the back. But I guess looks aren't everything. I'm going to add my equalizer to my set up to see if I can't force more base out of this speaker, hopefully Sonic X allows review edits. Lastly the speaker doesn't come with a cutout template.

SOUNDS GREAT

These suckers kick hard, and the sound is very clean. For the price you can't go wrong with these. I don't even have an amp hooked up to them yet and they are still louder than my other speakers that HAD a amp. I would recommend them for anyone looking for good speakers that don't cost an arm and a leg.

Great product

I ordered these about 6 months ago and I have been very impressed, they rattled the clips out of the speaker cover in my rear panel so I got to get that rattling fixed, but it's no doubt a great product and I would definitely recommend them!

Great sound, except for the base

The sound itself is great, if you don't mind listening to just the treble. I had to have a subwoofer, which was extra money, installed to get any base! Its a good buy for the money, but check to see if it is compatible with you vehicle.

Great (Important Note)

Great product after difficult install. Product has a cage around voice coil inhibiting it to be placed in My 2001 Grand Marquis. Had to drill new holes and mount under rear deck. Paired with KDC-X794 with built in amp of 50w. BANGS loud to my rap music while crisp with vocals. My first ever aftermarket hook up great choice

could be better

i have to say i expected alot more from these speakers. i own an 06 toyota tacoma and these speakers arnt much louder than my stock ones if any. good value tho for kicker speakers and a clean look.

Good sound for the price...

I bought these to put in my cavalier to replace some cheap Wal-Mart speakers that I had previously purchased. Great replacement. I see people saying that they don't have much bass, and I agree, But I didn't need it in my car, and they are definitely loud and clear. I would highly recommend these to someone looking to add some clear mid range sound to their system.

The speaker sounds great. Had a box made to fit in my trunk that didn't take up too much space and it thumps hard. I really don't like the whole wake the neighbor stuff, but it sounds perfect when listening at normal levels and hits hard when you want to impress someone.

GREAT BUY

I am currently running these speakers in a Tacoma X-runner with the factory 6 disc changer. So far they sound great! My rear speakers are stock and are consuming a lot of my front speakers performance with the rears noise. These speakers sound like they can handle a great head unit and a nice small amp to help push them to perfection! Buying the same model for the rears very shortly! Kicker...is...the...BEST!

KICKER 6X9\'S

I brought these speakers about 3 weeks ago and had them installed in my 89'box chevy. They are great!! The sounds are crisp and clear, I also got some kicker 6.5 components for the front and wow, they are sounding good... No distortion no popping... plus there was free shipping.. can't beat the price or the deal.. Kicker is the way to go.

Great speakers

I just got these speakers today (props to this site for shipping em in 4 days) and I'm seriously impressed. I'm an audiophile with the best of them, but I'm only 17 and don't have a huge income...so when I saw these I thought they'd be decent for the amount I paid. They're easily worth double what I paid. My head unit is a new Alpine 50w x 4, and these speakers outperform it by far. (which means my next paycheck is going for a multichannel amp...) I don't have a sub yet, and these even make my trunk rattle a little bit...haha. The bass is the perfect amount for anything but rap/r&b, but those genres pretty much require a subwoofer anyways. The highs are crystal clear, and the mids are just right for rock and jazz.

As to volume, I can only attest to running them at 50w RMS, but even with that they pump the volume really really well. I'm positive that my upcoming 150w X 4 RMS amp will run em perfectly. Once I get a sub and EQ the lows out of these 6x9's they'll get even louder I'm sure. These speakers are great, and in the back with the grilles on, they look great too.

kicker, polk, and infinity are my top brands for speakers. kicker will have good highs and lows. infinity will have the best highs. a cheap way for better bass without an amp or sub box or subs is to upgrade crappy stock speakers(even premium sound speakers arent good).

These speakers are amazing if you power it with a low watt amp. Don't power them too much or they will blow. but all in all another 5 star kicker product

Decent

These speakers had no problem hitting the high and mid notes, however, at high volume the low notes were sometimes not up to par.
I had a full Kicker sound system with Kicker KS69 and KS525 speakers, along with two Kicker CVR 15s. The KS69s were very good for the cost; however the sound quality is no where near competitor speakers like JL Audio, Focal, Infinity Kappa, Almani or MB Quart.. In fact, I replaced these speakers with newer Focals.

good set

put these in the backdeck of my wifes ford escort they sound great. im giving them 100 watts rms and no distortion. i have noticed they perform better with nothing in the trunk the bass got a little crisper when i removed her sub box. all in all i would recommend to anyone looking for a mid to high level upgrade for a low to mid level price point.

Powerhouse sound!

Lots of sound from these bad boys. These can hit pretty hard if you are in to fast bass, however the speakers' strength are in their vocal soundstage. These compare well to many of the big name component speakers for half the price. Pound for pound you can't go wrong with these. Great value here.

Got these for the rear deck of my 01' Grand Marquis. WARNING Mercury's have 6*8 opening not 6*9 as indicated by SE. Made some mods to make it fit. BANG BANG BANG is all i hear. Connected to a Kenwood X794 head unit. Wonderful match to my Kicker Component.

They sound amazing!

Amazing 6" x 9" speakers! They gave me great bass, and very nice highs. I was truly surprised because I know Kicker for bass, but for 6"x9" I wasn't too sure. Anyhow, the only thing I regret is paying a little higher now, becaues this new price is really low. Great buy.

Great Speakers

I really like mine, i got them 6 months ago. They work great and never had a problem. They have crystal clear sound no matter how loud you play them. they have great bass when you dont have a sub like me. Plus i got them for a decent price and i would recommend them to anyone. They were easy to put in and it only took me maybe a couple of hours to install myself. I got them because they have great capablities and that they were such a great deal. plus they are Kicker and Kicker makes good stuff so its all good.

Good speakers

I have purchased these to upgrade the audio in my 1982 Dodge. They have great sound and look good also. I am driving them with a SoundStorm SSL F4.800 (along with a pair of subs) and they handle the load without any problem.

I also have a pair of Polk DB651 that I drive directly from my head unit. In my opinion the Polk + Kicker combination works well. Kicker has a slightly "fatter" sound with a little bit of an edge. Polk is a little more refined. The two work together quite well.

Highly recommended.

To the person who said "could be better"

First let me start by saying this is an exceptionally good speaker for the price....not the top of the line Kicker speakers but definitely good for somebody who is looking for great sound at a reasonable price. Now for the person who stated that the speakers are not much louder than his stock ones....its not really fair to say that without telling us what else you changed if you changed anything at all. If you haven't then of course if you still have the same deck/head unit they are not going to be much louder. Trying hooking up an amp to em and let me know what you think.

Good speakers

These speakers are really good when you're just using them w/o an amp. They get loud easily, when you put an amp on them, they're even better. Only complaint is they're not that clear. Kind of a "tingy" sound to them. I recommend it for those that plan on putting subs in, but not amping up their interior speakers.

Great Buy

These things or some of the better co-ax's I've heard. I've been around car audio for about 25 years and I own a car shop. These are almost comparable to a 10" sub on the low end, and the tweeters are excellent. Great Buy

Great speakers

I have 4 of these running on a small 600w 4 channel and they are the cleanest sounding speakers I have ever heard. Crisp high that dont pierce the ears but loud as hell. Highly recommend.
