Easy on the electrical

I have a 2016 street glide.and have installed the Kicker PXA200.2 amp and the Kicker 42PSC654 4-ohm speakers in it.The speakers fit perfect in the speaker pods. no mod required. The amp fuses at 10 amp so not hard on electrical. On the bike I have the Harley boom box 6.5. This radio does not give very good sound so I can not give a true review of what these speakers and amp are capable of, Only my view with this radio and the set up. I have been doing car stereos since the mid 80”s and have high end systems in my vehicles and this radio is not capable of doing that. That being said, I hooked up the speakers and amp using the RCA and a BT355 HD RADIO LINE LEVELER AND PRE-AMP ADAPTER ,I Left the gain all the way down and set high pass on amp at 100. At this point the volume was louder and more clear than the the stock setup. My HD radio changes x-over points as you drive faster so no point setting gains to an oscilloscope. The amplifiers' gain goes clockwise from about 7 P.M. to 4 P.M.. I turned it to around 11 P.M. Wow it got loud and stayed clear. So the bottom line is will this sound as good as that guy who put $3000.00 or more worth on his bike? No it won’t. But for less than $500.00 for everything it was well worth it. Night and day over stock. As an afterthought, I see people talk about the amp getting hot. I chose the 4-ohm speakers because of this. My amp dose not get hot, Only warm. using a 2-ohm speaker will get warmer. and a 1-ohm even warmer.
