I owned this woofer and I do not use it in car yet but I tested it free air and surprised me... damn that s**t hit so hard(Clear)for that size n it's only 100 something......
I wanna get two more and build custom box for three of them. three of them must be pretty loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You will be fooled

I bought 2 of these Kicker 8"s and put them in a hand built 45Hz ported enclosure, it filled up my trunk and sounded amazing. When I say you will be fooled i mean you will think there's bass shakers all around the car, plus 3 10's in tha trunk bangin hard. WOW 5 stars. and thank Sonic for fantastic support for audio hookup reference.

It's a good speaker for what I used it for

Great sub for convertibles and small locations!

I purchased this sub based on several criteria.
Good clean bass at low volume.
The sub needed to fit in the small trunk of my Mustang convertible.
The sub should require a small box.
It had to fit the requirements of my old school Pheonix Gold amp.

This sub was all that I expected and more. I went with the smallest unported box that was recommended and it sounds very good, even at low volume. I would highly recommend this sub and was pleased with the quality, service and price from Sonic!
