Good speaker . Loud and annoying to fellow traffic

Got two of these in the back of a crew cab GMC with a hifonicsBrutus amp pushing them don't know the exact wattage of the Amp but they are being well fed. The only thing you have to worry about the speakers is amplifier clipping. The speakers will last a long time and be super loud but if you are sending a clipping signal to them they will smell burnt. And guess what happens next... They freeze up and no more boom boom especially when they're wired in series. They will still knock a little bit but only one will and the ohm will be way off so more clipping happens have your stereo professionally hooked up with the speakers and you'll be happy with a sound they provide

Good sub. Very loud. Two of them definitely annoys the people around you.

Little pricey but honestly worth it. Bought 2 to put in my 2012 Silverado and they preform flawlessly in my sealed box. If they where ported I bet they would shake the soul out of you.

I pushing this single L7 with a Hifonic 1800 amp and it hits like two 12s in my Yukon.. ..I highly recommend this subwoofer!!! Peace Sonic..

Kicker L7

I have two of these subs in my truck and man let me tell you they can get loud. i have them in a custom ported box tuned to 52hz running off of a 2400 watt orion hcca comp amp and on the db meter i have been able to hit 146.5db and i still have yet to upgrade the electrical under the hood. I hope by the time i get the big 3 done and some nvx sound deadener ill be able to hit around 150db. I would recommend these subs to anyone that wants to be heard.

kicker L7

i got this sub about six months ago i put it in a ported box and it was really loud tons of mirror shake and every once awhile with the right song you can feel your ear buds shaking. I have thurd it in a seald box as well and very clear i would recommend this if you want to be heard a few blocks away

Takes a pounding

Bought 2 of these in a kicker box wired down to 2 ohms. with a 1500.1 kicker amp 2 batteries upgrade alternator 0 gauge wiring. with all this these subs will pound like no tomorrow. They can handle power for a long period of time amps and subs alike. I had them for well over a year using them everyday for well more then half hour a day, never had one problem smell or anything. if your looking for something long term these are what to get. Recently sold tho, did buy a set of 15's l7's. should of done a long time ago. for a little bit more cash they hit even harder and deeper. Had to buy a 2500.1 zx amp to crank these bad boys up. the 1500.1 amp was really nice but 2500.1 even better well worth the money if you get for the right price. I have them in a 10 cubic foot box i made from kicker specs, still have not seen a louder system on the road with only 2 15's... Just as a reminder if you wire them up right you will never have a problem just go on there helpfull website if you are unsure what to do.

Wow

I got this sub switching from the Alpine Type R. And what a big difference. Deeper bass, moves a lot more air and hits hard.Get one if you can.(or two)

GREAT BASS

Got two 12s L7s hooked up with a rockford fosgate TB1000-1bd and it hits hard. I recommend for the decent price and bass.

Awesome sub!

This sub is great! It's not huge so there's still space in your car, but it sure does shake! I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a kick in their car.

L7 kicker

I have 4 of these bad boys in a custom pro box best believe you hear me coming.. Recommend to everyone that loves to knock.

I just don't know about Kicker any more....

My friend and I were working on his system and the in-print processor didn't work rite (Alpine). So we hooked up the L7 that was brand new and it worked for about a min and froze up to the point that you can't move the cone at all. I my self run the CVXS and I'm on the second set. I know we didn't do any thing wrong cause we turned down the amp to a 1/4 and HU to only 15 on the volume. The amp is the 1500zx Kicker so the amp is rated for the sub.

I just don't know about Kicker, there amps are great, but it feels like that there subs are getting cheaper. Still like kicker.

Must Buy At All Costs!

These L7's are the cause of people going deaf in more then 50 states. Not a fact but I could see it happening. I was amazed the first time I heard them and instantly fell in love. My dream came true when I got them. I have a ZX1500.1 with a birth cirtificate of 1625 watts rms and wow! I will be honest about this, if your looking for clarity and crisp bass don't bother. These are made for hurting your chest and vibrating your eye lashes. All Bass Heads know about these. L7's Sealed in boxes hit harder but ported boxs last longer and are crisp at the bass. Oh yeah, my L7's are hitting harder then my brother in-laws Type-R's with a T1000 amp.

ahh, the L7

The L7 is an all around purchase. The sub definitely has clarity and will definitely hit the bass notes. for all those leery because of the square shape, don't be. Would recommend to anyone wanting an actual sound system and be able to be confident beside car you pull beside.

Best yet

This is the best L7 model yet. Seems the boys at Kicker have finally fixed the voice coil issue inherant to bad coils. I blew 3 of the 08' models and this one has lasted the longest yet.

This thing with the Boston GT2300 I'm using pounds like 2 12" subs would. Size of a 12 surface cone area of a 15"!!!

trust me.

All i can say is that trust me what i am telling u is true. I had just 1 of these in my toyota tacoma and people relly did think i had like 2 or 3 in there. But u do need to get the right amount of power to it, and the right air space or it will sound like duke. Just to let ya'll know this sub sounds really good, if u can get all the right specs right then u will be as pleased as i was until i fried it. The only reason was i put to much constant power to it and she blew up then. But all round very nice sub. i would give it 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!

Kicking Bass

I was a little hesitant about this sub until I heard my friend's sub. This sub rocks! I have a Kenwood X1200M powering it and they are a match made in heaven.

I got a good deal on this sub...I have two in my trunk with an MTX Thunder 3000 watt amp...These hit real hard and anybody who likes a good deal these L7's is where its at.

BASS! only have one but a gotta a second. this is a great sub, didnt expect the power this beast can dish out.

This sub is BOSS, the L7 is a beast hook this baby up to an AMP with almost equal RMS power, and the right enclosure and you will be making your lights in your roof and your rear view mirror fall out like mine did yo! I just right with out my rear view when am bumping now.

Good subwoofer

I might be a little hard in this review I think for the money you should get a lot more out of this subwoofer. This was literally my dream subwoofer and I finally got it, it hit every note to precision and I was so in love with it and soon enough the voice coil burnt out. WAY too soon. I think if your going to buy this subwoofer get a box that you didnt think youd ever need. It needs to be ported no matter what to get this subwoofer to really punch and hit those low notes. Overall it is a good subwoofer it looks great sounds great but the durability of it is just not good for the fact that you can't have it in sealed box, it just blows my mind.

You Won't Regret It

After doing a lot of research and asking for advise I ended up buying these great woofers. At first I did not have the money to buy two kickers but eventually did. I was amazed at how one woofer sounded like as if I had two. Had them for almost a year and still hitting hard and the same since the first day I got them.

Kicker went all out

I have been in car stereo for 16 years as a: installer, salesperson, distributor and now a manufacturer and Kicker has outdone themselves on this one. The L7 woofer has tight deep bass that plays smooth and clean as well as deep and booming.

Totally Awesome woofer!!!

I have been in Car Audio installation/Sales since 1995 and this is truly a AWESOME WOOFER!! I have had Eclipse Aluminum 8800 series, Boston Pro, Rockford Fosgate P3 series and about 12 others and this one stands out. I also wanted to say the customer service at Sonic E. is great and they are way up on the competition in service and price as well. This woofer pounds like a 15" Solobaric with the space of a 12" woofer. That matched with my Fiberglass box makes a wicked combination. I will buy these again.

Loud... But Be careful...

Very loud woofers while they work. Seen my friends burn up a ton of these things. Make sure you give these bad boys the right enclosure and don't overpower them or they won't last long.

i own 2 off these subs and they are nothin short of amazing. they catch all the beats hit hard and have hardly any distortion. the quality and look is awesome!! i recommend these subs to all that can afford them!

WOW!

i got this sub hooked to my 1800 watt kenwood amp wit all kicker wires wired down to one ohm. The amp only puts out about 900rms and let me tell you this thing pounds i got it in a sealed box and the neighbors still complain cause its to loud!!! KICKER LIVIN LOUD!!!!

Solo Baric

God i love these subs. My friend has 2 of these in his car. 4 tickets in 2 months of having them. just listen to a pair, and you dont even need to read the reviews.

Just got one

just got one myself hasn't come in yet but what made me get one was listening to my friend bangs down the block and plays it like that all day so I know it can handle the pressure can't wait to see what it'll do.

Awsome tight bass

Got one of these in a ported box year before last for Christmas (all same specs and model) Pushing with a mono Kicker CS series birth sheet said it was kicking 740 RMS.

Sounds really good; used to have 2 JBL Power series 12's that could move some low end but lacked anything other than that sounded like hallow farts...

Even only having 1 sub it does the job then some. Leaves nothing to be desired. If i had to do over again I would still go with the 1 L7

Only complaint is it seems since the L7 craze has died down over the past few years boxes are limited and its hard to find good boxes for them they are either under sized or over sized now days.. that's my only complaint, but they shine if you build your own box.
