great 15 inch sub

The L7 is a great sub, it can handle a lot of power and sounds really clean. But even though the owners manual says you can put it in a sealed box, I wouldn't recommend it. It sounds much better in the ported box that Kicker recommends.

1 is all you REALLY NEED

LIKE I SAID 1 IS ALL U NEED IN 3.5 SQ FT BOX SLOTTED/PORTED I GOT 2 OF THESE IN A SAD 4 SQ FT SEALED box in a 02 altima but guess wat they knock so hard ive been heard 3 blocks away easily i got each sub wired @ a bridged mode getn 1200 watts rms each with a 10 farad capictor the only bad thing is that these subs knock so hard you well definetly need to buy a good battery to keep your system alive or you will need at least a 110 amp alternator to keep it running strong! these subs work excellent in any box recomended and dome 4 days!!!!!!!

Amazing

The following review is for a previous version (06S15l72).

More surface area equal more bass. I used to think that Kicker was some of the worst products made. Was I ever wrong. I currently own 2 of the Kicker L7 15" Subs powered by 2 Sx1250.1 and my highs are JBL P650Cs which are powered by a SX700.4. The last time I went to comp I hit 172.1db in my Lincoln. These subs are loud!

awesome

Had only one with a kicker zx1000.1 and she banged hard. Lots of pros, con is that it's very heavy.

Best sub out there!

This sub has the best bass ever lots of air movement and in a 6 cubic foot box tuned to 35 Hz it will beat any other set up don't have to exceed the max power with an amp over 2000 watts it sounds excellent and I would highly recommend this sub to anybody who needs to rattle their whole car.

F**k yea!!!!!!

this is an amazing sub especially for the price. i have one 15'' and it flexes everything in my ford explorer. the only downside would be that it takes a big amp to power and your neighbors may not like the sub as much as i do :)

Amazingly Loud

I have one of these in a audio enhancers sealed box that's 3.3 cubic ft, hooked up to a kicker 04sx1250.1 all digital pushing @ 20 Hz, it is amazingly loud for just one woofer, it hits lower and louder than two 07cvr152 in a sealed box on the same amp. I'm about to buy the same l7 and box so i can rock both on the same amp.

MY FIRST L7..........

Man I just got my Kicker L7 15 and good god does it pound. I got from a trade. I had had 2 MOFO 152XS and they sound really good but i like the concept """LESS IS MORE""" LOL...I can't wait til the SPL season starts. I have mine in a 5 cu ft box ported tuned at 40hz strapped to a TRUE POWER KICKER 1000.1D in a 95 CHEVYBLAZER 4D. At the head rest it has to at least be doin a 144db and thats playing music (NOT DOING SISSY A** BURPS) so i could prolly burp about a 146db hopefully will be running my class.

Best Subs I Ever Had.

The following review is for a previous version (06S15l72).

I have owned a lot of 12" subs and a few sets of 15" but none of them compare to these killers. I am running them on a volfenhag 8400 2 ch. amp that claims to be 2000watts. I have tested it with a meter and am getting about 300watts per sub. Now, these subs will handle 2000watts each and they hurt my ears at 300??? I cant wait to get mo-power and unleash that gorilla in the trunk. Good, durable, DEEP, and hit HARD. Worth every penny.

L7 152

I used to have 2 cvr 12s in a kicker box i traded for the L7 15 boy was it a difference not as much of a loud rattle as the 12s a loud clear bass that i love and my neighbors hate!! Lol... Its loud as ****!! I only have one but im about to buy one to replace it. Make sure its in a big ported box with a lot of power.

Best speaker I have ever owned

Well first off i havent even got the speakers true potential yet. I have it wired to a thousand watt amp at 4 ohms because its all i got rigth now. I bought a 4 cu Ft ported box and installed it in my extended cab. and frankly i am scarred to hook up any more power to it because i might just shatter my back window... Hits hard in a 97 Gmc extended cab great speaker.

BUMPS!

I have the 07 version of this sub and it bumps. I installed it up to a hifonics amp with 1100w RMS and its more than enough power. Its in my 03 Nissan Altima and the car shakes. I have gotten pulled over multiple times for disturbing the peace so if you want to go big, this will do the job.

Kicker 15 L7

The following review is for a previous version (06S15l72).

I bought 2 of these sub in a sealed box and put them in my Blazer with an Alpine MRP-M2000. Each sub is running at 1000 watt's and so far i've had to buy a new battery but it was worth it because I have not heard anything so UNGODDLY loud. Best purchase i've made. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves ridiculously loud Bass.

HARD HITTAZ CLUB

The following review is for a previous version (04S15L72).

ok heres the scoop... a guy at my school bought one of these in '04 along w/ a Directed 1100D amp and a 5.62 cu.ft ported box... then last month he decided to sell all of it for $350!!!!! so a friend of mine immediately bought it and put it in a 98 civic. its hittin 142 legal rite now... but im buying it and it will be wangin' in my car (a 98 monte carlo) this sub is a monster!!! bass is extra loud and crystal clear. very high SPL w/ the right amount of power. as w/ all ported subs , make sure your amp has a subsonic filter or u will have a blown sub and be very mad... all u really need is ONE of these b/c they are so loud... sonic electronix has the best prices on these along with a lot of other great car audio products

S15L7

The following review is for a previous version (06S15l72).

I just installed this subs last week hoping I would get an average sound...but it turned out to be that these speakers are LOUD....I only have one of these runnig at 1 ohm to a memphis 16 prd.1000watt mono amp and let me tell you, there just amazing. I highly recommend this to anyone who are looking for subwoofers that you can actually feel when being played in your car. Prices might run a little high but you'll get what you pay for.

wow

The following review is for a previous version (06S15l72).

If you want to have something that will set off alarms, wake up your neighbors at night, and get tickets buy 2 of these subs. Wow i am amazed how powerful they are... i have around 1100-1200 rms going to both of these subs but they still want more power. The spoiler of my saab fell off when i was on the highway because the sub was knocking the bolts out of place. If you do buy this product make sure you can power it or eles its useless, and also have cap for it. I just put a rattling kit for my trunk and it helps a lot... it still rattles a little but its much louder and cleaner bass i recommend buying that from this website. I bought two of these subs for 320 dollars on a different website.

One of the Loudest Subs Ever

The following review is for a previous version (04S15L72).

The 15 inch L7 is the best subwoofer that I have ever owned. This subwoofer was freakishly loud and had sound quality to match, despite what any other reviewers may state. I listed to this sub in three different configurations: 2 in a ported box, 2 in a sealed box, and 1 in a sealed box. I loved all three. This subwoofer is spectacular, I could not recommend anything else.

Brutally amazing

The following review is for a previous version (04S15L72).

I used to run 2 15'' Audiobahn Flame Qs...even 2 of those can't match the loudness of ONE of these kickers. I'm giving it about 1200RMS from a Hifonics amp, it handles it perfectly fine. I suggest going ported with these subs, it thrives in big boxes. SQ is surprisingly good considering how loud it gets. Awesome product!

buy it

The following review is for a previous version (04S15L72).

This is an awsome sub. I got one of these a few days ago. It handles amazingly, It's loud and it has exceptional sound quality. It really hits those lows harder than anything ive heard. If you can afford it there is no reason not to get this.
