okay for the price

Great speaker for the price although the sound wasn't what I expected. I listen to a lot of heavy metal and the sound was not tight at all. A lot distortion, wasn't able to turn it up very loud, for hip hop or rap I'm sure the speaker would sound better. Got rid of it and purchased a sealed enclosure that handles less wattage and sounds a hell of a lot better. So if you want a tight solid sound and you listen to rock get and enclosed system.

Best bang for your buck

Fits perfectly behind the seat in my GMC Sierra, added plenty of clean hitting bass, using a 5/Chanel alpine amp with 350 watts RMS at 2 ohms.

Great sub

I have this sub in a Dodge Dakota and it sounds great. I am running it with a Soundstream Picasso 600d monoblock amp. I listen to all kinds of music and it sounds great. The bass can be kind of boomy and heavy on certain songs but overall not bad. I would be interested in hearing this sub in a sealed enclosure as well.

Good if you don't like loud bass or listen to EDM

This sub is a great size. I am doubtful that it can really handle 300 watts RMS, however. On nearly all forms of EDM (esp. drum n bass, psytrance, electro house, etc. etc.) it would clip. If the notes were long, it would clip. When it can hit the notes, it hits them well with cleanliness and finesse but ... I kept finding myself dropping the bass EQ lower and lower and lower to get this thing to stop clipping. At $150, I would buy your own 10/12" and drill it into a pre-fabbed box. You can get more sub for the money and better quality too.
