zx200.2

The following review is for a previous version (08ZX200.2).

I have this amp pushing two 12 8 ohm comps bridged at four pun amp half way up and it pushes them perfectly awesome clean sounding bass. The best part is that it actually said it was rated 258 on the birth sheet. Kicker all the way!!!

Kicker ZX200.2

The following review is for a previous version (10ZX200.2).

Well, received this amp two days ago, hooked it up one day ago, and it is a nice little amp for pushing a pair of Kicker KS690s, but for pushing a Rockford Fosgate Punch (Stage 3), it's not so great...I hooked it up, was pushing the sub perfectly, not too low power, nor too high, just perfect, clean, bass. After 30 minutes of playing at high-volume...amp crapped out...I am still going to rate the amp 4 overall, just due to the fact that I should've given it time to " break-in ". All-in-all, if you are going to push a pair of (speakers) than this amp rocks. Recommend if you plan to use it for this purpose.

*Admin Note: This amplifier is rated at 200 watts RMS (at 4 Ohms), a Punch Stage 3 woofer is 500 watts RMS. These components were matched incorrectly and are likely the cause of the amp defect. Please power a Punch Stage 3 woofer with 500 watts RMS power.*

Sounds Great

The following review is for a previous version (08ZX200.2).

Sounds good. I got it workin 4 6x8 2way alpine. Only problem is it over heats if I don't have all my windows open in my truck, but I got a fan to keep it cool now and it simple to hook up.

SOUNDS GOOD

The following review is for a previous version (08ZX200.2).

I like the amp and it does a good job pushing the 4 six and a half inch speakers they are hooked to. But the amp will overheat and quit playing. I have it in the cuddy of a boat and there isnt much air flow. I guess it doesnt have an internal fan. If it does mine isnt working. I have a portable fan I have blowing on it when we are stopped and playing the radio and it will keep it going.

Sick

The following review is for a previous version (08ZX200.2).

This amp is the sht. My subs used to overpower my highs. With this amp i can now hear the words and the amp is really clean. I have it running all four speakers in my car(left channel for left speakers and right channel for right speakers). There is no need for a 4 channel amp. i can turn my stereo up to 80% and it sounds very clean. It always sounds like High Definition. Highly recommended.

Clean and Powerful.

The following review is for a previous version (10ZX200.2).

Replaced the 4 channel ZX350.4 with this one.....ditched the rear speakers.

This one came in rated at 265 watts!!! Perfect for powering Kicker 6 1/2" components. Awesome.

Been running smooth for over 6 months now.

I would buy again or recommend to a friend.

Kicker ZX200.2 (11ZX200.2)

This was the first amp I bought and all I can say is I have not been let down. The quality of this product is amazing and I am still enjoying it 6 months after buying it, no regrets! I highly recommend a professional install.

What? I can't hear you!

The following review is for a previous version (ZX200.2).

This amp rocks. It pushes my Kicker KS693's well and produces clear, crisp highs. I had to put the speakers behind the seats of my truck because they were too freaking loud...Great amp, great price. Sonic Electronix is the best!

does what its supposed to do and doesnt break a sweat !!!

The following review is for a previous version (10ZX200.2).

got this amp a few months ago, to start, the birth sheet said 264 watts. wow. i have it bridged to one kicker comp 4ohm 12 in a ported box and wow. fills my hole 2002 camry with great loud deep bass, and my camry is not a small car. sonic is awesome, i bought the 2010 model and they shipped me the 2011 model plus free shipping. i rock this amp for very long car rides and it doesnt even get hot, just barley warm.
not to mention nobody beats sonics prices, nobody !!!

Works great!

I have this amp hooked up to some DS6.5 components and DS 6x9's, and it pushes them very well. I've had it hooked up for a few months now and I haven't had any issues with it. I couldn't be more satisfied.

check you impedance!!!!

Before bridging the channels check you impedance. The previous reviews said the kicker component set was bridged o pull more power. Uh 4 ohms + 4 ohms in a parallel is 2 ohms and in bridged mode this amp is not compatible. That is why it got hot blew fuses and cuts off. Please disregard the previous reviews i have this amp in my g20 powering my 4x6 and 6 3/4 in a parallel at 2 ohms per channel and it does not even break a sweat. If in doubt take a multi meter set it to resistance and do an ohm check. It will save you time and money by ensuring the speaker resistance and amp capabilities are matched. Don't just hook it up crank it up and hope for the best. Do it right the first time. I am still running impulse amps and blue thunder amps from the 90s that are still operational because i never hooked them up incorrectly. If in doubt take it to a professional or somebody who knows what they are doing!!! Great strong underrated amp and will last for years under normal and correct usage!!!

Great Amp

The following review is for a previous version (ZX200.2).

I had this amp and 2 kicker comps and this amp was enough to get those babies rattle the trunk of my grand marquis. I tried it with a solobaric l5 and work alright but didn't do much to it but it really pushed my comps. great amp and a decent price. cant go wrong on this one

Its Oright!

I bought this amp about 2 months ago for a pair of component speakers Kicker KS65.2. This amp can push them decently using both channels, but if you plan on using them to get the most out of it in bridge mode the amp will over heat and go on protect! If you want to push it you probably would get to listen for 20min 'til it goes on protect. And yes, I checked all my connections, and also it's not maxed out. I turn the amp gain 3/4 of the way and have it tuned at 100Hz lowest, so no lows are hitting, and I also only turn up the stereo (aftermarket) to 2/3 of the way up. I have doubts of it in 2-channel mode now that its getting hot out so probably won't be good in ANY MODE! I honestly wouldn't recommend this amp if you want to truly push any competent speakers! Or live in a hot place! I was truly disappointed with my first kicker amp.

kicker amp

The following review is for a previous version (ZX200.2).

This kicker amp worked perfectly for my kicker ks door speakers. It was the perfect amount of power and it's easy to use and install. I recommend all kicker products.

Good power in a small package!

This is an excellent amp for a two-way front stage. It definitely doesn't leave much in the way of headroom for some high end components, but for lower budget component sets ran at two ohms, this is an excellent choice, with an even better price point.
