Kicker ZX650.4 For the WIN!

BUY THIS AMP!! Bought this amp from Sonic at the suggestion of Armen (customer service rep) because the JBL 4 channel amp I wanted was out of stock. Armen knows his doo-doo!! I am very pleased to say this amp is simply AWESOME! I am driving four (4) JBL GTO928 6X9 2-ways with this amp and they absolutely love it. The speakers are 2 Ohm each, rated @ 100 watts RMS, but the amp is rated @ 170 watts RMS X 4. The birth sheet indicates a total output power of the amp @ 707 watts RMS. At the tested power rating that's 177 watts RMS to each speaker. I believe this tested output was produced @ 14.4 volt with no current or voltage sag, so my system is producing a little less @ 13.8 volts, but still, significantly more wattage than the rated power handling of the speakers. I have two in the front doors, and two in the back deck of a 1993 Geo Prizm, (yeah I know), crazy huh? The sound is amazing complimented by the Alpine SWR 1042 sub in a ported box in the trunk driven by a MTX JH600 amp! My little car shakes and bumps so hard with this amp and set up and the speakers are crystal clear at ear bleeding volume levels.

Do you think it's too costly? Well, quality sound comes from quality equipment and you get what you pay for. Take a look at the price, notice the "make an offer" tab? USE IT! Listen, kids. I'm an "Old Dude"(46) and I listen mostly classic rock and blues with some jazz sprinkled in the mix and I listen to all of it VERY LOUD. If you want an amp that will drive anything you want to run to its full potential, get the Kicker ZX650.4. Great features, more CLEAN power than rated, easy access to tuning, intercooler (this amp will get warm), great flexibility for tuning also. You can't go wrong. BUY IT before they're all gone at this great price.

nice amp low price

I have this amp running 4 sets of KAPPA PERFECT 6.1
with a Kenwood DNX9960 head unit. 2 Kicker L7's with a 1500.1 amp pushing the subs. In a Ram maga cab, the highs are clear and as loud as you can stand it. great amp. Sonic Electronix is the place to order from 3 day's your products are at your door

Excellent Amp!!!!!!!

Recently installed this amp and it pushes the two pairs of Alpine SPR-17S components with no problem. Kicker rates this amp at 650W, but the birth sheet on mine rated the amp at 712W! Does get a little warm, so I'm installing a fan to keep it cool. Other than that my music cranks the way I've been wanting to and Sonic came through with their service again. Be smart; shop with Sonic, you can't go wrong. Thanks!!

Excellent Product

I just received my 2 amplifiers, these are just the best amps I've ever owned. Pure power, clarity and quality. I'm using 1 to play 2 10inch Selenium mid-range speakers and 4 selenium mid-range horns. The other is being used to play one 12inch mid bass Selenium speaker and two pairs of Kicker KS20 tweeters and 2 Selenium pro tweeters. The music is just amazing. Only Kicker could make these gods of music. :-)

Great AMP

I have this amp powering 4 Rockford T1652-S door speakers which are AWESOME, This Amp is clean looking and blends with my system, Only problem is when i crank it up It gets really hot like if you touch it its gonna sting kinda hot. But thats to be expected with any AMP. 4 Gauge inputs are nice for power wiring. I have my amp mounted vertically in my truck, My favorite thing about this amp is the amp control buttons on the front cover, I can easily adjust my gain or bass boost with my finger, my other amps are hard to get to and u need a flat head screw driver, ALL AMPS NEED THIS FEATURE. Overall good amp, I would buy this again, good price!

MUST GET

I bought this amp because of the name, it's pushing four 5X7 infinity kappa speakers in my 2010 ford explorer sport trac, let me say the clarity it plays at high volume is really sweet, if you are looking for clarity at loud volume this is the amp for you, i almost forgot to mention the amp runs a little hot but this is how it's design over all i love it and recommends it.

Nice Upgrade

This is the amp you want if you want clean power. I had an Eclipse four channel that had a channel go out. The new ZX 650.4 has taken my speakers to a new level. I have Diamond components in the front with MB Quartz in the doors of my 2004 Navigator. I had a custom built double 12 sub box firing down with Diamonds D3's in the rear hatch. Alpine head unit and the system is loud, but VERY CLEAR. The amp is a vital part of your system and you will not be disappointed.

Great AMP

Great sounding powerful amp. I have it running two sets of Polk MOMO components up front and Polk coaxials in the rear and this amp handles them without a sweat, loud and clear. Definitely buy this amp

Very Pleased!

I have had this amp in my 2009 Accord Coupe w/ NAV for 6 months connected to the stock head unit and hooked up to 2 Cerwin-Vega CVMP6.5 on the rear deck for mid bass and to Polk Audio MM6501 up front for bass and treble with a separate amp for my 8" Sub.

There is more power than I can use and the sound is unbelievable! It required some tuning of the crossovers to my speakers, but it was easy to do and makes a great deal of difference.

Be sure to order a quality wiring kit and I also used mass loaded vinyl and adhesive backed sound dampening for the doors and dampening for the flat metal areas to reduce vibrations throughout the vehicle.

I had ordered another amp first but it wasn't compatible with my head unit. After working with their tech support, I was able to replace it with this. Sonic Electronix was great during every aspect!

I'll definitely purchase from Sonic Electronix again!
I only gave a 4 for durability because I have only had it 6 months, but so far so good.

Mad Amplifier

I bought this amp from Sonic Electronix, I have it pushing four 5x8 infinity kappa speakers in my new 2010 ford explorer sport trac, the birth certificate that comes with the amp says maximum RMS is 676 let me say none of my friends want any part of me when it comes to loud and clean music, the thing is the volume on the amp is half this amp is TRULY MAD. You will not be disappointed, MAD Awesome amp.

Crystal clear mids/highs!

I bought this amp to power my four Infinity KAPPA 6x8 coaxial speakers in my 2011 Ford Focus. It sounds awesome and gets super loud! If you want super clear quality and super loud while not distorting, then get this amp! My gains on mine aren't even half way and it sounds so good. The birthsheet for mine said 685W! That's outstanding and says something about it. Don't hesitate and get it if you are thinking about it! Sonic with the hookup on them as well!

Very nice amp.

I have the 2011 650.4 and it is a nice, clean four channel amp. The birthsheet that came with mine said 685watts. So I'm actually pushing my speakers with a little more than 120 at 4ohm. It's a very powerful amp though so make sure you have speakers than can handle the raw continuous power. The THD rating is below 1% and the signal to noise ratio is high making this amp not only powerful but stable and clean sounding. Kicker has done good for the 2011 series of amps. The past couple years they have released some crappy amps, but they've re-designed everything about them and they are awesome.
