Kinetik Hc1800 Blu Monster

This is a must have for any car audio install lacking power to back it up. The unit fit in the stock driver side location of a 2001 Chevy Suburban 1500 with only a slight mod to the battery tray block. Since installed I have not had any issues with early morning start ups or fears of music playing while engine off. I was a bit skeptical about a car audio battery replacing my starter battery but rest assured this thing got the juice!!!! aMz.

Awesome

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

I've had this in my truck for the past 3 years and its still running strong. I have 2000W of mmats and Rockford Fosgate amps running off of this and theres barely any dimming even with an 80amp alternator.

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

This is an excellent battery. I have an 04 silverado single cab. I have 2 amps. One is a hedonic Brutus BRX 1600.1D and the other is a power acoustic PS800. The Brutus is drawing 1200 rms amps @ 2 ohms and the PA is drawing 150 rms amps x 2. No more light dimming and volts do not go below 13.7. Thats not bad considering I have the factory alternator that puts out 105 amps. No cons. Thanks again Sonic

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

This thing is a beast. I have an 04 silverado single cab with a factory 1025 amp alternator. I have 2 amps hooked up, a power acoustic ps800 and a Hispanics BRX1600.1D. The brutus is pulling 1200 rms amps @ 2 ohms and the PA is pulling 150 rms x 2 @ 4 ohms and my volts do not go lower than 13.5. My lights do not fluctuate any more. The battery along with the big 3 upgrade I had already done solved all my voltage problems. I would definately recommend this battery. No cons at all. Thanks again Sonic

Great quality, dependable and great price

This is my 3rd kenetic battery i own the HC-600,HC-1200 and now the HC-1800. The 1800 replaced my 1200 as my vehicles starting batterry and i removed the 600 from under the back seat of my tahoe and put the 1200 in its place. I just decided to upgrade to the 1800 nothing was wrong with my 1200. The 1200 was my starter battery for 4 years and not once did it need to be jumped, even when my tahoe sat for a couple weeks whe out of town. I got home and it fired right up. The 600 infact started my tahoe i did that as a test for the heck of it. Now i have room for up to 3000 watts if i felt like it. The 1800 had just enough clearance to fit in the factory battery space when i shut the hood this batterry is big and has to be 60lbs. I love the quality and price of these batteries and not once have they failed me. I reccomend kinetic to anyone looking for longevity and dependability at a fair price.

Worth every..single..penny.

First, let me just say I have upgraded all the electrical components in my car. I have a mechman 240 amp alternator and a NVX 0 gauge big 3 wiring kit. So my electrical system can keep this battery charged pretty well. I was sitting in my car on lunch one day just listening to music while eating. I have a Hifonics 1200 and a Kenwood 800 watt 5 channel. I didn't realize that 45 mins had gone by and I had the volume up about half way. I turned my car on with no problems at all. 45 minutes straight running 2 true watt amplifiers with my car off and no issues at all. I will never get another battery from another company again. The only "con" I can think of is that it's a hefty battery. I read on this site near the bottom of the product's page that it was about 50 pounds but I didn't register how big it was until it arrived at my door. so I might be a little bigger than some people have the space for under the hood. But luckily batteries are offered in different sizes. Other than that this battery is worth every single penny.

Kinetic 1800

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

I got fosgate 1000-1 and 400-4 using all 1000 rms for sub and about 360 rms for other amp. I have a 2013 fusion which is canbus and has a computer controlled alternator. So before battery it was horrible playing a full volume as it would make idling ruff and subwoofer would cut out. Now with battery no more subwoofer cutting out and minimal idle bounce. If I can re do it I would try the 2400 even though 1800 recommended for what I have but it does not consider the type of car I have. Bass sounds louder than before. One issue are the post run small in diameter making it do difficult to use the basic connections I had so would be purchasing some new ones as they are slipping off.

Great for Jeeps Too

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

running this in the trunk of my cherokee (it fits right in the cubby hole on the right side with a little cutting of plastic.) with 2/0 wire to the front. i have a variety of amps totally of about 1900w rms. this thing fires up the old 4.0L without dropping below 11 volts under cranking. i had this in my last car as well, and had a newbie mistake... dropped a ground upgrade wire on the positive terminal, in which is promptly destroyed. These batteries are crazy even compared to the yellow top i had before it. floating voltage typically sits around 12.5 - 12.7 without engine running or anything turned on.

the only thing i dont like about this are the screw in terminals. no matter how hard i try, when tightening them down, they still move after. they loosen way too easily. i havent stripped them out, they just still turn after the bolt is tight.

Killer Kinetik

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

I ordered two of these to upgrade and replace an Optima Yellow Top an add one to the trunk, immediatly after swapping just the front battery I did not experience fading of my lights or sound performance. With addition of second battery it's not a question to the stability of the power supply. Over 2X the output for the same price i paid for my yellow top, a must have.

No good

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

The kinetik HC1800. Okay first, I have a 12" rockford fosgate T2, thing is a beast for my lows. It's running off my Hifonics BRX 2400 rms, the sub is rated at 1200 Rms but I'm getting another one so I needed the bigger amp, an I have kenwood 6x9s and 5 1/4s and tweeters installed, and a kenwood headunit, and I'm running about 1600 rms watts, and of course my headlights would dim, so I looked igo replacing the battery, I went with the 1800 because it was the biggest that would fit under the hood of my 2005 honda accord V6, I thought 1800 would be plenty before I got the second sub an I thought it would stop my headlights from dimming.. I was wrong, if anything the stock battery made my headlights dim less... Idk why? Cuz I did the big 3, idk but I wouldn't recommend

I can't hook it up to my 2001 Monte Carlo ss under the hood because it to big. I put it in my girl truck to see how good it worked and her truck performs better. I'm going to get a smaller one for under the hood and put the HC1800 in the trunk. Great battery would recommend this product.

read up if you are thinking about buying this

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

well pros about this.
this battery fits my suv's stock spot and is about 5 pounds lighter then the stock one I had for a starter battery.
in -15C and with lights on for 8 hours (was by mistake because of my dad using my suv and left them on) it was still on 12V "12.08 and when I turned it on went right back up to 14.2V. overall this battery i use is for my sound system. and from a reading of 11.25 on stock battery now working at 12.8V to 13.9 when playing loud bass music. overall best dollar i payed for. best thing is the music sounds 2x better now its in.

cons: had to install it my self lols jk really don't see no problem with this battery at all. had this for about 1 month

You cannot find a better battery for the bread, and free shipping to boot. I'm using as a cell to store solar power for emergency use. seems to work well with only 1 100watt panel in a poor location. should be much better after I hook up and relocate my 2 panels.

Kinetik 1800!

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

This battery was bigger than expected which was not a problem in my case. Definitely does the job and keeps the voltage up. I personally use thus battery for under the hood but would be a great battery for someone who needs that extra juice. The price is very affordable and as I can see it's been dropping! Great product currently run 3 kinetiks and have great voltage.

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

I bought this batt. because my sound system would drop my voltage down to 11 with my stock battery. I have yet to see less than 12.3v after installing this along side my stock one. It is quite heavy, but that's to be expected. I love the thing and now have great peace of mind regarding my charging system.

Solid performance, good product

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

I bought and installed this battery about 6 months ago and I haven't had any problems with it. It's one of those products where you don't think about it until it causes you issues. I also have a smaller stinger battery in my trunk that this connects to - I'm 'overpowering' my system just to keep it performing at peak performance so my usage may not be typical but I thought I'd submit a review anyway.

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

I put high output alternator (Power Bastard) and needed to upgrade battery. Bought the Kinetik after doing a lot of studying a lot of different types and makes. Decided on this and it runs my entire system with no glitches.
Pro: Powerful/does what it is designed for/Easy to install/buy Kinetik posts that are not included, makes connection for big three upgrade a lot easier.
Con: Posts don't come with battery.
I would totally recommend this battery!

Nice and solid

The following review is for a previous version (HC1800).

I bought this battery to replace my Ever Start battery, and I'm glad I did the Big 3 upgrade before this came in cuz I shorted out the original and its now a Never Start. But this battery fit snug in my Jeep Cherokee and after everything was hooked up the Jeep seemed to idle quieter. Anyway great battery, only complaint is that they don't send battery POSTS, they send little hex bolts. So if you plan on getting battery terminals for this battery like I did, don't, get ring terminals.
