Lasonic I-931BT

The Lasonic I-931BT BoomBox rates as follows: The sound quality is average for a two way speaker system.I don’t think anyone should have any complaints on its’ sound. It has more power output than most battery powered boomboxs. It uses current technology that allows you to use a variety of external devices such as USB Flash Drive, SD/MME Memory Cards, Blue Tooth, and Auxiliary Devices. Because you are not driving a motor to run a Cassette or CD player the battery life will be longer. It also uses RDS (Radio Data Systems) technology which displays Song Name, Artist Name and more, which is a niece feature. If you want to sing-a-long or use it as a PA it has an input for a microphone. It also has a bass and treble shelving tone control and a separate graphic EQ that allows you to tweak the sound to get clarity or that booming bass. There are other features like an Alarm, MP3 compatibility, and the ability to enter a play list when using the Flash Drive or SD/MME card. The only thing I did not care for is the display. The display needs updated. There are no instructions presently that come with it and I could not find any on the net. Most of the features and settings are easy to figure out; however there are some features which are a bit obscure. The first unit I received had a sight problem. Sonic Electronix took care of it right away. They were easy to deal with and followed up to make sure that I was satisfied.

throw back

The following review is for a previous version (i-931x).

The lasonic blaster is a great ipod/iphone dock that is reminiscent of the old shoulder carrying boombox of the 80's. It has been a huge hit and produces a better than average sound.

i931x

The following review is for a previous version (i-931x).

This radio exceeds my expectations, its a classic boom box that has nice tech upgrades from the previous 1980's models. I think you have to have been a teen in the mid to late 80's to really appreciate and get that feeling of nostalgia. The late 80's signifies the end of the boom box era in which you saw people walking down the street blasting a loud radio. It was about how loud you could have it and how much watts your radio had. Most every manufacturer embellished the actual specs but who cared, it was just bragging rights... GREAT RADIO.

Retro is Back

The following review is for a previous version (i-931x).

This thing is pretty sweet!!! I saw it (or something EXACTLY like it) on the Lonely Island music video. Which is hella funny, but i needed it. Ive never seen anything like it. Looks Retro, which is HOTTT right now. Its got the iPod dock, FM tuner, its portable and for not having a designated sub, it has pretty good range. Ive got the JVC MX-GT80 with the Giga Tube in my garage and obviously this beats harder, but i cant take it anywhere. I would never call it portable either. This Lasonic answered my prayers. Thank you lonely island... and Sonic too haha!!!

Don't Bother

The following review is for a previous version (i-931x).

This unit is very impressive, visually. In reality, it is garbage. Poorly constructed. Poor FM tuner. Volume knob sticks and the volume was going up AND down even though the knob was being turned in one direction. I tried Lasonic and I would not recommend this brand for anything.

HUGE BOOOOOM BOX

The following review is for a previous version (i-931x).

Ok, so this is a really cool looking boom box, it takes two hands to carry it, thats how big & bulky it is. i get get so many complements from this huge old skool looking boom box. Its a major head turner, no doubt on that part. As for the looks they got that right 100%, the price was fair, but what kills me is the sound quality, it's garbage, it is so weak, my cell plays louder music than this thing, the volume knob sucks, you have to spin it over and over to get volume levels right, the plastic graphics are already peeling off, and one time use out side melted the stickers/graphics off, so very cheaply made, those big speakers dont even produce any bass like you would think, pure vocal out of this machine, very disappointed with sound & durability. I don't know how long this thing will last. Great for show, a real attention getter that's all its good for. I wouldn't buy another, or recommend to another person.

BUY IT.

The following review is for a previous version (i-931x).

This is awesome. I get endless compliments on its nifty design and for the price it gets REALLY loud and clear. Ive taken it to the park and also just used it for music in my room. This thing rocks. Not the most portable because it's a tad heavy but it is possible to carry with care.
