Very Happy with these Speakers

My dash speakers were blown so decided to replace my whole system. I got these based on the two reviews, and I'm glad I did. Not much bass to speak of, as others have said, but they handle the mid-range and highs so well.

I got 6.5" Kickers and 1" Tweeters for the front doors, and 6.5" Blaupunkts in the back doors, and when I blast my music loud, these 4" Lightning Strikes do not distort in any way. They provide very clear, very powerful sound.

I also upgraded my Receiver to a Kenwood MP238, but that's it. I have no extra amplifier or sub-woofer, just a basic sound system for my 2000 Montero SUV. The whole set-up sounds GREAT! Indeed, I didn't know how bad the factory system sounded until I replaced it, *lol*. I'm very happy with these Lightning Strikes and would recommend them to anyone.

good for the price

i own a set of these speakers and i have to say i'm impressed they've lasted as long as they have. i've had them over a year and have yet to complain about their performance. they can't handle much bass, but you can't expect much bass from such a small speaker anyways. highs are flawless on these speakers. i currently have them running all of my highs and i have 2 10" Power Acoustiks with 350rms running for my lows and it sounds great. I'd recommend these for anyone with shallow pockets like me.

Best 4' Speakers Ever

I live in like in the hood of my town, so a lot of people juice up their sound systems and pimp out their cars around here. People thought I had 6 1/2's and an amp hooked up. I have been in a lot of cars with hooked up audio systems and so far, these 4' speakers put every other 4' speaker to shame, they are 100x better than JL Audio 4' speakers, just for a reference. The sound gets very loud and clear, very crisp, mid lows hit tight, and I just have them running off a receiver thats half of the potential RMS power they can handle.
