camera problem

The front camera is in color but the image is reversed, the rear camera is in black & white I switched cameras and the result was the same

does everything allows me to hook up additional audio and cameras even hooked up a tuner for television.... my friends want one now

One little quirk with this product.

I really like the LockPick in that it gives me the freedom to add a backup camera, among other video/audio inputs, and I like the fact that a passenger can input info into the nav system without me having to pull over and put my Jeep in park. It also allows my passengers to watch a DVD movie while the vehicle is in motion. This is my second LockPick unit. One little problem is that on the lower right corner of the screen, my radio shows what the speed limit is, and is supposed to show how fast I am going as well. This feature no longer works with the LockPick installed. I have contacted tech support, but nobody seems to have an answer for this. Despite this little quirk, I still rate this item 5-star.

Mygig Lock pick

Love it. Back up camera and aux plugs are awesome. Overall great product.

meh.

had to spend quite a bit of time adjusting the pins on the connectors that plug into the back of the factory mygig radio. every time i tried to plug it in some of the pins would bend out of place.. otherwise, product does what it is supposed too... quite pricey for what it actually is however. the menu is also pretty hard too use. i just bought it to be able to watch DVD's while driving... the other 23094028 things its capable of are a waste for me.

does the job

Ordered this to interface with nav system and Boyo back up camera for 2009 Challenger. Easy install, plug and play connections, works as advertised. Quick delivery from Sonic.

Exceptional product

Regarding this product i can say it's perfect, easy to plug and play, and you can install by yourself quickly.

small problem

the front camera is in color but the image is reversed the rear camera is in black & white. when I swap cameras front to back same problem

Easy install

Works perfect, front camera is perfect for parking in garages , and makes it possible for passenger to enter destination while driving. This is the second one I've had and they're great..

lockpick is so nice

This is a great product it does just as described and is super easy to install the only down side is all of the extra rca ports don't have little plastic caps so if you don't tape them or secure them away from each other the reverse camera will get blurry but a little electric tape over them prevents it and it is nice to see turn on the reverse camera when driving to check on small trailers and the DVD when in drive is also nice to keep passenger's occupied.

Boyo camera's dont work well for some reason. Great product though!!

i love the lock pic. it is plugged into my 2011 ram mygig. for some reason though both front and rear camera feeds look almost colorless and dim/washed out. plugged outputs into a color monitor (batt pwered) enabled cameras thru lock pick and image was great.
ipod through the it works great as well. tech said something about mygig not liking certain video camera's... anyone else have this problem with mygig?

Great Product!

Purchased the MYGIG LockPick V5.0 after several reviews I read. It worked perfectly right out of the box. Only have a rear view camera connected it now, but the freedom to program GPS while moving is more like what I am used to when traveling with my other Garmin unit. Also the ability to watch DVD while moving. Only drawback is that I can no longer judge my speed with the GPS unit as it sends out a false signal of 0 MPH to make it all work.

Freedom in Install!!!

Not possibly an easier way to install a reverse camera in my 2013 Jeep Wrangler without a single modification to the factory wiring harness!!!

A month after my initial install I'm still more than satisfied with this product. Highly recommended.

One con... customer support/responsiveness of the manufacturer is spotty at best. (NOT Sonic Electronix)

Doesn't Work Well

I bought 1 lockpick and 2 cameras (left/right side) at the end of May 2013. I received everything 2 weeks ago, so 7 weeks after my purchase. There was a problem with the stock. Well, never mind, it wasn't fully the problem of Sonic. I can understand that.
I installed this lockpick v5, that came with its last firmware 2.4 and now my MyGIG REZ is unstable, radio hangs every 5 seconds and, the biggest problem is that there is no TV option on screen. Everything else seems working (DVD on motion, camera activation, VES option on screen) unless the most important. So I can't change any parameter. This lockpick is almost useless for me.

Awesome device! I used it primarily to hook up a Bluetooth audio stream device to use my iPhone with the MyGig stereo (via VES). I like listening to DVD movies (live concerts) while driving too (I don't watch them, unless i'm not moving)

Also cool to be able to have the camera switching ability (haven't modified my camera so it's powered on in "D" yet)

Works great and easy install!

When looking at the product it may look overwhelming. But the instructions clearly state how to install and the wires are identified with what they are. Installation took about 15 minutes. No cutting, splicing, soldering, or voltage checks needed to be done. Though I did only install it to allow video to play in motion. The capabilities of the product are insane! More than what I would actually use it for, but at least it allows you to the product without EVER having to buy a new adapter. Highly recommend if you want to return to a stock feature in the future, or if you want the plug and play clean install! Highly recommended product!

MYGIG LOCK PICK

For the price I believe this is a good product it was very easy to install (after I watched a few u tube videos to figure out how to take the dash apart). I'm going to try and add a camera next. Delivery was timely.

Simply Amazing!

The LockPick MYGIG not only gave me the advantage of video in motion but it allowed me to hookup two cameras (front and rear). I could hook up an additional camera if I wanted to. Also gives video input and allows for video output to a rear entertainment system. My front camera turns on when I am below 10mph and my backup camera turns on when my car is in reverse. I installed this in my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sahara myself for less than it would have cost at a dealership and that would have only given me a rear camera.

You NEED this!

Too often there are others who "know what is better for us" or at least they think they do and that is why nearly all states require the video to be locked out from the front seat.

My wife is disabled and the ability to watch a movie for her is a very good thing.

The LOCKPICK just plugs into the radio and the car wiring plugs into it, simple and quick.

I have added 2 cameras and a video feed from my smart phone so I can use the GPS on the phone on the car display.

The lockpick frees up the full use of all your cars features to you any time you want them as well as gives you the ability to add cameras to cars that do not have them.

I'm Italian and I have a 300c crhysler purchased in Italy and unfortunately this module does not work on European cars! Only u.s. radio!

LockPick MYGIG (V 5.0)

I had been looking for a good LockPick for some time and found this one by Sonic Eectronix. I performed great and was pretty easy to install, my son did this for me. we purchase a good rear camera along with the LockPick and we love it.

Great product

The key features to me that make this worth it are the backup camera function when not in reverse, the DVD player and especially being able to make changes to my navigation system while in motion. The only one bad thing I can say is I lost my speedometer readout in the navigation mode but that doesn't matter to me.

Lock Pick MYGIGV5

I have been really happy with this item. It was really easy to install, granted a little nerve wracking pulling my pretty dash apart, but it worked just fine. I was concerned about the extra stuff rattling behind the dash, but I haven't heard anything.

It works great - just as advertised. It's nice to have the passenger use the GPS while in motion, this is really helpful. My daughter is excited about being able to now watch a movie on long trips.

Also planning on getting cameras now for the front of the car for parking so I don't scrape or dent my bumper.

mygig v5 along with a rearview camera sv 6922.lm.11 was a christmas from my wife and son. they also got me a boyo vtk370dl.i can not install the first two parts yet,i have 2011 dodge ram , i have installed the boyo 370 in my tailgate handle,it was a tight fit but it was not a lot of trouble.i drilled a 1 inch hole and enlarged it with a round file until the camera body fit snug the retainer and nut fit on from the inside.will not be able to fit the other parts until spring,truck can,t fit in my garage. keep you posted.

Locked no more!

I have had the lock pick installed in my vehicle for a month now and could not image life without it now. Easy to install and use. Unlocks options to view DVD while out of park, let's you change navigation routes while in motion and allows for use of several cameras, including backup, front and side cameras. This model does not have for a port for smartphone, which is the only thing I wish it did have, other than that, product has been great so far.

Lockpick V5

I live a few blocks from the company the makes the Lockpick and Sonix had the best price in the US on the web. Very fast shipment and great service from Sonix. The V5 in my 2011 Challenger works perfectly. This unit has unlocked all features of my nav system and radio functions. I have installed front and rear cameras. The dealer could not figure out, after I spent $210., how to interface the factory camera into my system but the Lockpick did the trick. Highly recommended and the service from Sonix outstanding.

Nice product and worth the money...

If you have a vehicle compatible with this product and was thinking about it I recommend it. Simple installation and easy to use. Had it hooked up and viewing video in about 90 minutes. It took longer to get the dash apart than to install the lockpick. Good job Lockpick thanks for a great product.

Being in Australia and ready reviews that it won't work here there wrong it was the easiest part I hau e ever installed on my own.
The reverse camera was as simple as plug and play and I also Installed a 15" monitor I to my 300c and it too was as easy as it and play.

Good Features. Get full use out of your MYGIG Radio.

This is the 2nd LockPick MYGIG I have purchased. They work great. Very easy to install. I installed a backup cam and a forward facing (parking cam) that turns on under 7 mph. They work great. It is also nice that your passenger can use the navigation without stopping the vehicle. I recommend these units all the time. Sonic Electronix also had the best price I could find and made the purchase easy.

The installation is definitely "plug and play", the supplied harness gives you everything you will need. I installed mine on my 2013 Wrangler.

LockPick MYGIG V5.0

Very easy to install, just follow the directions, any DIY'er can do this. Had the trial run of it installed to make sure it all worked in less than an hour. Then another 3 hours to permanently install the camera and mount the camera and route all the wires under the carpet and trim. Works like a charm and can add additional cameras later very easily.

Great product

Wanted it mainly to unlock my backup camera. Worked without a glitch. Developed a problem and the company was very responsive in helping me fix it. (Software needed updating)

Unstable - bad support from original manufacturer

After a while, this product has created major instability in my unit (MYGIG 730n) by messing around navigation completely.

Never Easier

By following the enclosed instructions with this product it is very easy to install and setup. All features as advertised work very well. I do recommend this product for those looking to unlock the features on their MYGIG radio, plus add additional features.

I have a 2012 Jeep wrangler w/manual transmission. This was easy to install and everything works. I can enter addresses into the gps while moving. The rear view camera feature works great. My 3rd gen iPad connects to the radio. Great product.

exceded expectation

LockPick has a whole series of extras that can really be a good addition to the car, which we haven't used yet. We already have a back up camera. You can view it while driving, I turned it on once while driving and it was cool to watch, but I couldn't figure out how to turn it off, for a while. Installation takes about 5min for the basic hook up. I have not put in more of the features, but everything is clearly labeled and probably super simple to hook up. I have my car Dealer serviced and took it in for an oil change and check up and they did not make a comment about LockPick, so I assume it is not detected when a diagnosis machine is connected to the car.

Very good product, offers a ton of control and flexibility to your head unit. Only con I have is the lack of complete ipod intergration.

Not what I expected

I added this to my 2012 Dodge Ram and it's not quite meeting my expectations. It's clunky to get the options to work. You have to wait while the radio thinks about what it's doing, and maybe you'll get what you requested (like rear camera). I never got the thing to allow me to use my NAV while driving, which is an important feature considering how difficult Dodge has made the NAV feature. If I had known how this was going to work in my vehicle, I honestly wouldn't have bought it.

A Must Have For Touch Screen Owners

I have had my Ram 3500 for nearly 14,000 miles before purchasing the unlock system for my Nav/DVD unit and I don't know where I would be with out the unlock feature of LockPick. Your head unit is useless with out it. Very simple to set up and install.

2013 Jeep Wrangler Install

Install and use was as described, no need to see the dealer, plug & play. The only down side (I knew this up front) is loss of the NAV unit on screen speed display.

2012 dodge ram Laramie

I ordered this for my 2012 dodge Laramie. The instructions weren't set up for the vehicle you own. I found a video online that had the tear down process of another year same model truck with the dodge center console in it and breezed through installation. The instructions definitely need to be more in depth with some pictures that can help better understand the process.

The only thing I have found that draws this product back is that my navigation doesn't want to work when you activate the DVD feature. It just shows you located in the same place from when it did work, frustrating. But even though its kind of finicky I love the back up cam in forward motion and the DVD. I couldn't get the rear cam to shut off once I turned it on but I found out if you click the left toggle button on the steering wheel it will switch the lock pick through its own features and shuts it off.

Works awesome

It's nice being able to have the option of a passenger using the Garmin while my vehicle is in motion. It was such a pain for a passenger to be able to only enter the information at red lights or while we were stopped someplace. Very convenient!!

This is the best and fastest way to add a rear view camera to your Dodge Challenger. So easy to install and setup. Definately worth the money.

the Tab tv dont appear , this is why its not fully compatible.

This lock pick on my 2011 dodge ram 2500 Laramie was just the ticket. It's like, unlock your system. Music video while I drive, navigation entry while I drive,. Front and year camera are great! Gonna install a third soon. Selection of cameras underway is a cinch!
Took my about 20 minutes to install. Google dash removal, not hard at all.

Unlocks all the features that I want!

I have enjoyed having my LockPick for a while now. The freedom that it gives is second to none when using my radio. And being able to use my steering wheel buttons for all the unlocked features is great. It makes using my Nav unit easier and my front passenger can watch video while on the road. And I can access my side and rear cameras with ease using my steering buttons. It's great to own!

LockPick V 5.0 is AWESOME!

I did a ton of research prior to ordering so I already knew what to expect. I watched several install videos as well as a few videos on how to disassemble the dash in my 2015 JEEP Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited and an install video on how to add a cheap DIY back-up camera. The install was straight forward and the back-up camera was a super easy add on. It works exactly as expected. I already knew that adding the LockPick would cause the speedometer on my GPS to stop working so there were no surprises. I love having full functionality while driving! So glad I bought my LockPick!
